Which earbuds are the least bad?I have heard people praise Sony's WF-1000XM series but apparently the new XM6 are not great, and also they look fucking retarded with how huge they are.I am also hearing increasingly positive comments about the AirPods Pro, but I am sketpical of the judgement of anyone who has purchased an iPhone, so I wanted to double check. Galaxy Buds Pro also seem to have improved but they have a reputation for hardware issues.
>>1085627141.all earbuds look retarded2. Nobody gives a fuck what you look like
WF-1000XM4 owner here, you're really just paying for the brand+ANC with flagship Sony TWS buds and they honestly don't even sound that good. Out of the box tuning is a bit dark and muddy for my liking and music sounds noticeably better with ANC on instead of off for some reason. They sound fine enough after an EQ but they do this weird auto EQ thing where they'll adjust the frequency response when you try turning the volume up to a certain level to protect your hearing or some shit. Of course they don't mention this and you can't turn it off so the volume's artificially capped. My $60 Soundpeats Capsule 3 Pro+ runs fucking laps around these $200 (I paid $80-$90 used) Sony's if we're talking pure sound quality, but then again the companion app barely works, ANC is nowhere near as good, controls are kind of ass, battery is shit and they look a little tacky.

>>108562714I don't wear earbuds because they remind me of those pink camgirl sex toys that have an antenna that sticks out of them and connects to their cam site and makes the girl do a cheesy fake moan whenever someone pays them money. so whenever I see someone with apple airpods sticking out of their ears that's what I see and think about and it's really stupid looking.

I'm managing a project involving among others, 1 real programmer, and 1 vibe coding bullshitter. It's pretty funny to see them antagonize each other. Also it makes me sad I am not a real programmer, but you gotta stick to what you know in some cases, that's what I tell myself

Google AI Mode is really bloody helpful. Not just for tech but every life problem or just general question I've thrown at it. I memed on AI but fuck, I got drawn into using it about 6 months ago and now it's indispensable. I can't imagine going back to my old way of researching things, opening 10-20 different websites and reading them all and trying to consolidate all the data, ironing out any contradictions in my own head. Hard work and extremely time consuming. And this is just the cheapo free 'AI Mode' from Google. I haven't even paid for Gemini yet. Nor any other 'chatbot' like ChatGPT, Grok, Claude or any of the other ones I hear about.
>>108564281>My main concern is that AI ends up becoming overpriced, locked down, or limited to big companiestheir main cost right now should be in training, competing with eachothereven if they run out of money the current models would still be there, which are already very useful

So let me get this straight, they finally made an AI that is "too powerful for the general public" so a handful of megacorporations are keeping it for their own private use, and its focus is on finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities? OK, that seems fine.
