>>108520369This fag actually logs into youtube.
>>108520369Why are you not using userscripts anon? UBO is a must for many things and I have sponsor block too, but aside from that I'd shit myself over fingerprinting with that many extensions and a lot of these seem based around a single functionality. There are userscripts for muting channels among other things. Personally I've used ubo to remove a lot of the shit I find annoying about youtube but I'm not good at html or javascript so I have to rely on clicking shit and looking it up.

>>108533352I love playing piano and guitar, but I almost never listen to music outside of pieces that I jam to or trying to learn. Playing in a bluegrass jam, even a shitty one, gives me more excitement than idly listening to an album. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with listening to music, I’m just done consuming it for the most part.
Is he right, bros? Is the AI bubble going to pop and lead to the end of the tech industry as we know it?
>>108532738>AI companies are going to go bankrupt, so people won't need to use computers anymorewat
he's right in the sense that this shit is deeply unprofitable to run at scale. he's wrong in the sense that LLMs are entirely useless. his narrative has even shifted from "they don't do anything" to "they have _SOME_ limited use". go back to his earlier content and compare it to now, you'll see this.what i personally cannot wait for is the inevitable corpo rug pull anthropic and openai will perform when they are forced to raise rates on tokens.when that happens, you are gonna start seeing companies cut AI capex because all of a sudden, their pre-subsidized AI budgets are gonna get BTFO by the price increases and rate limits.when that happens, all of these vibe coder idiots who used this shit as a crutch to do their jobs are going to be left flailing. i am already seeing this play out with coworkers who are shit-tier programmers. right now, they are able to simply switch models in copilot when they get fucked by claude being slow. but once that option gets removed they're going to be like men dying of thirst in the desert trying to get that one last sip of the AI water.only this time, it's not water: it's Altman's piss.
>>108533901And because the customers cut their AI spending, the AI companies will not be able to make up the cost of these datacenter spends. I don't know if any of them will survive long-term in that scenario, but I highly doubt OpenAI will, and I'd be a bit surprised if Anthropic did either, although it will likely take slightly longer to go under.XAI, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta will be burned, but likely will survive. They have their other established businesses to fall back on. Most likely those will keep some AI services around, but heavily de-emphasize it and spending on it.
LLM tech is here to stay, but for limited usage by developers ie: as an autocomplete. Using it for other stuff will be too expensive when the subsidies end……IF the subsidies end. My big fear is that the orange bitch will get the call and bailout Scam Altman. If OpenAI basically becomes an arm of the government and gains access to defense spending budgets, we will see immense pressure on SWE salaries as the models will keep getting incrementally better because taxpayers are basically funding OAI.
>>108532943I don't like his millennial redditor writing style. It gives Cory Doctorow vibes. I agree with many of his points but I wish he would just get on with them instead of telling me what a cromulent fuckcrustable Dario Amodei is for several paragraphs. He would benefit from a more critical editor.
I thought youtube would be fully dead at this point due to the increasing amount of AI slop. Facebook and instagram even moreso but people still use them. People seem to akcowledge these apps are bad for you and hate using them yet...still use them. Not to mention advertsing not slowing down one bit and getting even more invasive. Does the normie drone just not have a breaking point?

Too cheap for VPN? tor/i2p too slow?I have built qBittorrent for Windows with custom settings under Options -> BitTorrent:> Enable leech mode> This rejects all upload requests to peers.and> Suppress bitfield / HAVE messages> This doesn't let peer know which pieces you have. So you appear to have 0.0%. Must stop and restart a torrent to take effect. While you can still be logged for connecting/requesting pieces, it still significantly lowers risk of your IP being logged torrenting.> https://github.com/RiceVermicelli/qbittorrent/

An attempt was made
This year's Debian Project Leadership election has only ONE candidate and it's a Pajeeta (Sruthi Chandran):>She is inactive on the mailing lists, and her Salsa profile is private so we can't even see what her coding contributions are.>She's run for DPL 4 times before; lost each time>Her entire platform is just about diversity and bitching about cis males>She intends to formally incorporate Debian in the US, which would force Debian to introduce age verificationHer only claim to fame is organizing DebConf23, an event where a Debian developer literally fucking DIED because basic health & safety measures were not followed.A much more qualified candidate was hospitalized during the nomination window and couldn't apply in time, yet she has refused to reopen nominations.Debian is FUCKED unless the Debian developers all vote NOTA (None of the above).
>>108534558Assuming there are no invalid votes and that every developer votes, she needs 520 votes to win.
