Stop making ads obnoxious, intrusive propaganda and maybe I'll consider not blocking them. I'll still block them of course, but I'll consider it.

As a programmer, how do you avoid falling into the trap of doing everything yourself?
>>107557795do everything yourself but do a bunch of it with AI. If you need a package just extract what you need out of it into a custom wrapper w/ ai where you understand everything it does.

Be honest anon, do you actually use the Home Row for touch typing how it was caught in school? Or do you just kind of get a feel for your keyboard and get good at correcting typos really fast like me? Do you think learning to Touch Type properly is worth it?
>>107553711>Be honest anon, do you actually use the Home Row for touch typing how it was caught in school?Yes>Do you think learning to Touch Type properly is worth it?Anyone who spends a lot of time in front of a keyboard should learn to touch type properly, for most people it will be a massive speed increase.
>>107553711I used touch type the "proper way" but eventually started using alternative fingering for some combinations of keys.If you look at the techniques of some of the fastest typists in the world basically none of them use completely standard technique.Standard technique is fine if you are happy to be stuck at 120wpm but if you want to type really fast you have to get creative.
>>107555771That's how I type too
I'm not a touch typist per the autistic home row definition but I am one in a literal sense in that I don't ever look at the keyboard. Basically my left hand is stationary and resting on the desk while my right hand is hovering and moving. I get about 80 wpm like that.I don't really have any issues with my technique but I could never get into something like Vim since alternating between keyboard and mouse just feels so natural.
To me it's not about how fast I type, but how effortless (and fun) it is. I mainly use the standard way shown in OP pic, but sometimes I use the left index finger for 'c', and the left middle finger for 't' if it comes after a 'g'.Also, 30 second test with simple english words is not really useful since I also write a lot of code, so I did a 2 min test with rust code (I don't usually code in Rust, but it uses a lot of weird symbols). I'm more interested in being able to write consistent 60 wpm over half an hour, instead of short bursts of >100 wpm.
Why don't people just get cheap 5:4 (or 4:3) monitors to use as secondary displays? What is the appeal of a fugly dual 16:9 setup?
>second monitorA few years ago I bought an Odyssey g9 (the original) and it's the best monitor I've ever used. Multi monitor setups are a giant meme after experiencing 2x 27" 1440p 240hz monitors seamlessly combined.I'm waiting for the 57" OLED 4k version before I upgrade

4chan boards have too many pages.4chan lost over a third of its traffic since 2022, yet the boards are still the same size. This results in threads taking longer to slide off.Which also results in a single schizo being able to keep ten threads alive with ease. He can even sleep for 8 hours and his schizo threads will still be there when he wakes up, ready to get bumped. If you ever felt that 4chan only consists of a few schizos posting the same things 247, this is one of the reasons.
>>107558606fuckoff ranjeet
>>107556998>4chan boards have too many pages.HOly fucking retardIt's literally the opposite. You can't make a fucking thread that's not a shitpost bait because it gets pruned within an hour

>>107558707we're allowed one meta thread per board per gookmoots own rules. To be clear I'm not criticizing the moderation since theres nothing they can do without grapeman enacting swift change, but at some point it needs to happen site wide.
