>>107654076check this site out created by a jeet:https://yourinfo.hsingh.app/TLDR; it shows what websites know about you, even has metric to guess if you are right or left handed kek pretty decent.
I made a website with some educational tools, like an interactive periodic table and charts with basic formulas for different areas of physics, scientific resources like that, a coin toss simulator, and other curiosities. It's public, but I did not share it anywhere yet. I feel it's not ready for launch, so it barely gets any views.I'm a total amateur. I come from graphic design and learned HTML/CSS/JS on my own, which was all I really needed. While I started the project for fun, now I think it's genuinely useful for students. I want to know what the next steps are here, perhaps a way to make some money out of it, even if just a little. So far, all I have is a donation button just in case, but none so far. Is ad revenue from regular websites still a thing? Should I make it into a downloadable app instead? The website is not revolutionary or anything, but the idea is to pack a lot of useful basic-level stuff into a nice, clean design. I'm not sure if there is space for this or if I am wasting my time on a dead project.
I just redid a single-page site to use @scope instead of BEM like I normally do. I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm worried I'm going to miss being able to select a long-ass BEM class name and have it be unique across an entire site (so find-and-replace for anything with it is guaranteed to be exhaustive).Pic related used to have more classes and also way longer classesbut now I can get away with selectors like ` ` (the descendant selector) and just have a dumbass div or aside >>107654355>whens the last time you typed www. ?I'm setting up a new site, so probably yesterday

hello I passed here a year ago and then decided to buy audiotechnica ATH-M40x headphones as kind of a midrange budget choice, im back because they broke and with the warranty I got around 100€ to buy new ones but I see the audiotechnica are not listed anymore hereany buying advice? i want them closed, I listen mostly to music and videogamez, I got a steinberg IXO22, around 100€ budget, im a rym autist. I really want my headphones to be durable, not because I throw them around or anything like that but because im not really listening to flac audio files and I just know that most headphones are just fine.
>>107651729Mini XLR is actually the most robust connector type for headphones in my experience. Locking connectors like this one or the Hirose one DCA uses are better since they won't loosen and mini XLR is actually the more robust of the two imo. One of those Hirose ones in my Aeons actually has gotten a little loose over time meanwhile the XLR my LCD-2 uses is basically indestructible. Sennheiser used a single connector instead of one per driver though, which might be more convenient but makes getting a cable for them harder since you have to look for one specifically for that model. Audeze actually did something similar with MM-100 since it also uses some weird wiring and regular cables with that connector just won't work properly. Hate this shit, basically proprietary just for the sake of it. And two connectors means there's no wire going through the headband meaning repairs are easier since you can even have no headband and both drivers will work anyway. But Sennheiser always used proprietary connectors for their stuff, like with HD6X0 headphones.

Are they making google results shit on purpose to force people into using "AI"? I can't find results for my basic searches I used all the time. They are gone now. Yandex.ru doesn't have this problem.
>>107654659No google was going down the shitter way before ai.

>>107654659>Are they making google results shit on purpose to force people into using "AI"?No, they are making google results shit to maximize ad revenue. People using AI as a google search alternative is just the side efect of that

Hello everyone, I have an old desktop PC sitting right there doing nothing. I'm trying to give it a reason to exist and evaluating the idea to install Windows 7 on it.So, can you use Windows 7 in these days? How much do you have to debloat it and uninstall things? And, more important, there's a way to not have it becoming a SECURITY NIGHTMARE?
>>107647565>So, can you use Windows 7 in these days?Yes, though some software from the last few years may not work on it>How much do you have to debloat it and uninstall things?Zero debloating required. It's windows 7.>there's a way to not have it becoming a SECURITY NIGHTMARE?Disconnect it from the internet.

>>107647565theres extended security updates, it's still getting security updates until next year. look on mydigitallife to find the patches necessary to get it.i still use windowss 7 as my daily computer. its fantastic. i mostly just daytrade on it, youtube is a bit slow, but its yet to blue screen once. for security, i run tinywall and set it to deny everything. if a program needs access to the internet, i approve it. once you start using all your programs, it never bothers you again unless its some weird program or a windows update tool. if youre smart theres no risk, unless some zero day gets release that can compromise a computer with zero user interaction.

What is /g/'s verdict on NetBSD?
>>107653159Everything in NetBSD has excellent code quality and documentation. You can literally start working on kernel hacking day one. There is at least one feature that is unique to NetBSD: rumpkernels. It lets you reuse kernel modules in userspace. Thanks to rump kernels on netbsd mounting an external drive will be done in userspace with exactly the same code used in kernel space. Same could be done with drivers. This is a huge security improvement and I’m surprised openbsd didn’t adopt the technology
