>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

It doesn't have VST support, so you can't use it with ableton directly.
Your best bet is using loopMIDI to create a virtual MIDI port, and sending MIDI note and CC messages to it from ableton.
You should be able to read MIDI messages from this virtual MIDI port from QTSynth.
It takes a little setup, but I've used this with Renoise in the past and it's worked pretty well.

>>107689220
you build your own patches.
I will provide a couple of example patches for people to play around with in the upcoming update.

Thanks for letting me know.
Interesting, it appears to work with the standalone PgDn key for me but not the one on my keypad(when numlock is off). I'll add the keypad variants of home/end/pgup/pgdn as well, and/or consider changing them to a less awkward set of keys.
Were you using the keypad, and did any of the Home/End shortcuts work? For now, if you have something you want to save, the buttons from the on-screen keyboard will work.(so sorry about this)

This only seems to happen with music for some reason, maybe due to it ls abstract nature. Many musicians only ever learn to play their instrument and nothing else, making original music follows naturally from it.

The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. Is there any CPU fan model (with a heatsink or not) that would fit this old motherboard (released in 2009), if yes then which size should I choose?
>>
>>107696387
change the thermal paste and clean it up. theres a rubber plug or a sticker on the backside of the fan, take the circlip off with a safety pin and grease it. if its getting to 3000rpm its not the problem
>>
>>107696387
man I had this same CPU back in 2009.
good times and the computer actually still works
>>
>>107696558

Ok, I'll see what I can do. This thing is working for almost 14 years nonstop, surprised it lasted so far. The CPU itself is very sensitive to near anything and tends to reach 100% often (browsing the modern web is near impossible), otherwise it's cool (26C when idle), probably it's too outdated.
>>
>>107696630

Yeah it seems to be durable (it survived many disasters from overheating to physical shocks) . I still like this motherboard due to its versatility. The CPU is perfectly fine for XP era games and programs which is why I still keep it.

Sorry, but as soon as I heard C# was developed by microsoft for "safety" to replace C++ (chads) I knew I had to put it in the trash tier, just like rust. I know that you guys will be writing C# and Rust code with your AgenticOS, soon. "Safe" Langs to prevent fatal LLM mistakes. And true C++ chads use qt (based) for cross platform compatibility.

this is fucking hilarious. doesn't matter if apex, valorant, rust, cs2 faceit or any other league. any FPS is currently unplayable because kids run color/ML aimbots on their second pc and forward inputs to their gayming pc with this 40$ passthrough device. and all the jeet AC devs are too stupid to write an aimbot detection algo that doesn't result in 6 million false positive bans. (the valorant jeets literally used their RAT malware anticheat to check&ban players that stream a centered screen region which is smaller than 512x512 pixels).

Has AI even done actual tangible damage to artists? I see more art these days than I have ever seen. For all the revanchist blue collar workers who want to knock artfags down a peg, it seems like AI slop just increased the value of artfags

A family member worked on an aislop game, which not only cut positions down to barebones feeding it into LLM garbage. They would have to sit through PR meetings about how great AI slop was.

The company leader also ended up tanking the project because they were relying 100% on ai playing the game for you. Who the fuck wants that? This investor-hook of adding ai to all and precieving it as 'value' is fucking cancer.

Well they went under, good riddens and due to their incompetence of shoving Ai into everything without having an actual good idea how to make a game fun, everyone lost their jobs, not only to ai. Thankfully the family member isn't an aitard and found another job after this shit show.

This is a common occurrence in entertainment jew industries who would already outsource. And third worlders gens are invading the spaces of niche or fandom art with their scam generators since Dall-E

C++ can do it better, but very few programmers have the expertise, time, and effort available to actually make it faster than what you get cheaply with Java. This is one of the dirty secrets of C++, and one that only shows up in closed benchmarks (because nobody really measures the programmer effort in open benchmarks; that's too easy to cheat).
>>
>>107696472
Even fewer programmers can write optimized Java. The cherry picked benchmarks you're talking about have been heavily optimized by an Oracle employee that works on the JVM for a living and he specifically chooses to compare it to the most naive C++ in human history. This is 1BRC bullshittery all over again.
