I was going to gift myself a GPD Pocket 4. I've wanted one for like 8 months, but then the prices rose when I went to go buy it two days ago, so I'm not even interested anymore.

Now I want nothing for Christmas and don't care anymore. Fuck it.

I was about to get a tablet, then I thought it's useless, my flagship smartphone has way more power.

What am I going to do with a tablet? Have a slightly bigger screen?

I can use the Android Desktop mode(or Samsung's), a terminal emulator, and I can run a Desktop Environment and everything.

What do you think? One is a portable monitor with a battery and a wireless display, the other ones are glasses that supposedly give you a 4k screen. Has anyone tried the glasses? Do you have advice and recommendations, with prices too? Regards.

other than that they are useless.

>>107654743
I already have an x86 laptop with 8gb of ram. Why do you think they suck, what is the problem?

>>107654834
Kinda tempted, really shwifty.

>>107654864
I know, but the bigger screen is good for connecting to my tower PC, that's basically the only reason I need one.
I wouldn't need an overpowered and overpriced big phone.

Any recommendations on portable screen? Maybe I could diy a tablet out of it.

Regards.

Nope. I felt bad having it just lay in the drawer, so I sold it.
Did get a genuine Sony AC adapter, swapped the cells in the battery and replaced the HDD with an SSD. Still made a little profit too though.

You can se not all are loaded out of the total in the list, ADguard and easylist have the same filters but ADg changes them a bit so thy will overlap, yes, so either choose adg or easy/fanboys.
Adg is trying to appease chrome with lists and their addon you shouldn't use them anymore.
>>
UBO steals money from creators, don't use it

You want less filter lists and no cosmetic filtering

Cosmetic filters are powered by random javascript scriplets which can make you vulnerable to XSS attacks

These XSS attacks can persist via serviceworkers. Make sure to review chrome://serviceworker-internals or about:serviceworkers to deregister serviceworkers you no longer need

These workees can run javascript even when the browser is closed

Once again: only keep the default filters, and turn off cosmetic filtering. Adding more filters is counterproductive. You should use freetube instead of youtube, and you should seriously consider ublock origin lite because it does not need global scoped permissions to work (you can configure it, you only want network filtering)

Network filtering is the best for both security and privacy, cosmetic filters work via scriptlets which are not secure.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).

I've been thinking quite a lot about this lately. Elliptic curves look sound and their groups look superior to multiplicative groups modulo prime numbers. However, elliptic curves have really deep properties, who knows what attacks can be produced. Also, curves like 25519 are 20 years old, and people keep using them. Could there be specific attacks vs specific curves given enough motivation and time (say 20 years)?

I've resolved to stick to RSA with a mongo key length. I can even use some old versions of PGP with it. The code is easy and fun to review.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

I was thinking about this a few years ago. I considered a few solutions including tape and some special optical disks intended to have a long shelf life.
In the end I decided to place a few retroreflectors at 10, 20, and 30 light years from Earth. I encoded all my data into a single stream of bits and transmitted them towards each reflector with a laser. If I lose the other copies of my data I'll have convenient opportunities to recover it at the 20, 40, and 60 year marks just by being ready in the right place with a photodetector.
