Why is my dick below average ?
>>
So my native res is 2560 x 1440p (2k) but i want to play on a custom 1440 x 1080 on cs2 (which i can through nvidia control panel) . Is there anyway to just set that particular resolution locked when Im playing cs2 and just let it go back to my native resolution when i close cs2? Or do I have to manually adjust it everytime.

I want to get into embedded programming, specifically with graphics, displaying to HDMI.

I want to use a BCM2837 (The SOC on the RP20W), but the docs don't mention much besides GPU registers, and they don't recommend you to use them.

I'm stuck on what to look for or search for, or what to learn to better understand this. Any embedded programmers here able to give some tips?

Is there a cheat sheet for max filesizes on 4chan?

Across boards, and filetypes on that board, maybe also with checkmarks for whether or not audio is supported? Also webm length limits and resolution limits would be good.

I swear only 3 MiB webms are allowed on some boards but I forget which ones.
Different boards having different limits for the same file types is really dumb.

No, putting a server in a fridge is overkill almost all the time. More memory, storage, or a graphics card (if he wants to run AI stuff on it) will always be appreciated as long as you make sure to get enough that it's an improvement over what he has. Even if he just upgraded. Especially storage, there's always more stuff to download and back up.

it's because 4chan started using the is2 file server mirror again and it seems to be using cloudflare, which requests a captcha from you, but your browser tries to load a video so you don't get the captcha.
open the webm in a new tab and if you still don't get the captcha then change the URL to just i.4cdn.org instead of is2.4chan.org

I was inspired by the thread about iPods yesterday and am considering making my own custom iPod with custom PCB and CNC made enclosure etc.
I have a direction to follow regarding the hardware, but am completely clueless regarding the software.
Would I need to make a custom OS based on unix? Or would I just need to make firmware for the hardware to understand user interaction?
I don't want video playback etc. Just music like in the picture with lyrics and artwork.
I only know python, but I am definitely willing to learn C/C++ and machine/assembly code.

ffmpeg can convert your videos in good quality, just google around for solid flags. the defaults can be pretty poor.
i think your best options are to
1. convert jpegs to jpegxl (if you don't care about compatibility, else see (2))
2. convert other images to avif
3. convert videos to av1+opus
but also archiving is based, just keep the source material and buy more storage. 130gb is rookie numbers anyway

>Is it true or a meme that people are embedding CP in certain images on /v/
Used be the case you could embed files on images. Admin changed the image uploading method so it no longer works.
You can still link to an external image using the filename, but it's not exactly embedding anymore, and it can only use public boorus so no files. You can still get a ban from that alone, mind you.

Never saw cp myself though. Unless you count loli porn as cp.

I have 1 pc with only display ports hooked up to a hdmi only kvm switch via a passive dp->hdmi cable. The other pc hooked up to the switch is just hdmi. The output of the switch is an active hdmi to display port adaptor cable as the monitor needs display port.
This worked initially, but after a few switches back and forth the monitor looses signal from both pcs and needs to be powered off for about a minute before it worked again.

All parts have been tested independently without issue.

Any advice? I hate HDMI

a laptop optical drive has a power and data connector as well, it's just that they're often supplied with a combined connector
and the only reason desktops don't is because the motherboard and power supply are two different devices in a desktop

yes, usb supplies 5v and laptop optical drives (laptop drives in general) only use 5v
desktop drives require 12v as well, nowadays usb could actually power those, too, with usb-pd, there's probably adapters out there to use desktop drives using just usb

I already have a set up like that, but it would be nice to use a central hub like Lutris to access all my shit, rather than having to keep and organize all kinds of separate programs to do the same thing. I want to just open library -->navigate to desired category -->run game. Simple. I'm almost able to do that, except for the fact that I apparently can't create custom fucking categories in Lutris.

Why not have type A adapters on hand for your devices instead of buying mystery meat chinkflash? It takes up about the same space.
>is there any reason to get a 512gb external ssd over a 512gb usb stick?
Write speed and endurance.
>>
Why do people get the Project+ cert?
>>
>>100403794
mostly cost and convenience but youre right. i should just buy some reputable brand for the storage and get an adapter

is the endurance really that big a deal? ive got usb sticks that are easily over a decade old and still run fine even with heavy use. cant imagine modern ones are worse on that front

LXC runs system containers, you manage services and users and whatnot, and you manage them the same way you'd manage a real OS, such as Ansible/domain membership/sudoers/...
Docker is for application containers that re built step by step according to a fixed recipe.
>>
>>100403757
>a central hub like Lutris
I would hardly call something you need to keep running on a single machine a good backup.
at the very least you should be putting it on a RAID0 and if it were me I would install it on a VM in a hypervisor you could transfer anywhere since old games go on HDDs and new ones basically NEED NVME SSDs
In that case I would ditch the OSware all together and get something that runs on debian or directly as a VM with the storage disks attached.
The program looks like it needs to be run within a daily driver.

This is Transcend ESD310, memory stick sized SSD that has 2 connectors, great speed and reasonable price. What's the catch? It's been a while since I used a Transcend product.

Is it worth replacing the batteries of wireless mice or just buy a new one?
>>
>>100404372
Transcend is generally fine. They have flash drives at every price point and the quality is decent in my experience.
Obviously look at the warranty and some benchmarks.

Wait, isn't Ansible a VM/docker hypervisor like proxmox? And LXC runs in proxmox... so LXC is a ... nope i have no idea wtf you just said.

just shat through antman last week. this thing looks like the robot man from that movie.
CBS CNN are hating on it because it did the silly body twist thing but now I hate it because its capeshit.
>>
>>100404755
Think of an LXC container as if it were a VM. It uses the same kernel as your OS, but behaves like a VM.
Ansible is configuration management.
To give you an idea of why LXC is nothing like Docker, I run VMs and docker INSIDE LXC containers.

can you tell me where to get a debian 11 version or this or what FTP website I would find it on like how you get old python versions? Once I do that I just click "download from URL" in proxmox "CT templates" right?
Or is this not a LXC container.

>What's the catch?
I'm assuming you assume the thing equals to NVMe or SATA drive. It's a memory stick so I figure there's no load balancing or other SSD tricks so don't expect them.
>>
>>100403687
>is there any reason to get a 512gb external ssd over a 512gb usb stick?
Yeah, if you want to perform writes to your USB drive. As in having an OS/programs installed to it VS just passively storing files.

>why dont linuxfags just use docker with proxmox?

>1tb usb sticks still sound like scams
Irrelevant IMO. Having a terabyte of cheap flash on a thumbdrive with no load balancing isn't comparable to a device with a terabyte of good flash with load balancing.

Is there some kind of AI or image recognition software that can scan through my downloads folder and catalogue everything by its contents, I want to be able to group by pepe, screen cap, etc.
>>
So I use kemono party to download stuff from fanbox and other sites, kemono is pretty slow so I tend to expand a post then load all the images and come back 5 minutes later.

All the images are opened in new tabs in firefox, when I click save for some reason the images take 30+ seconds to download to my file system most the largest of them being only a few MB in size.

What the hell is going on, the image is fully opened in the browser and loaded, I could literally instantly screenshot it, so why does firefox have to "download" something that's literally already been downloaded and should be in local memory it should be instant?

Is there a way to make an hdmi port on a dGPU use the onboard cpu's display driver?

I am gonna be honest, that seems like a coincidence, /pol/ already has flags that aren't on every board, I don't think the admins would be above removing IP counters from /pol/ but no where else, if /pol/ drama was the actual reason
>>
>>100408575
sort of, if you enable both onboard and discrete GPUs (sometimes you need to go into the BIOS for this) then you can have the two displays set to mirror

i have an hdd started crashing my PC every once in a while and I recently took it out and have it in an external reader through USB
the moment I power it on it just freezes Windows, crashes explorer if you try to interact with it

is there way I can try to fix this or has it never been more over?

iPads have quite a few apps like that and the Pencil works really well if you don't have a shitty screen protector. I know the new Samsung Tabs have the pen and all but they're more expensive than iPad Pros here, maybe the old ones also have it.
