Going to be working in an office in the coming year. Want some IEMs that have good noise cancellation and battery. Price isn't too critical but their use wouldn't basically be "office ear plugs for calls, occasional music or audiobooks" so top-end sound quality isn't imperative. Listening to Wanker studio more, they've definitely tuned down the bass compared to the original, they're quite flat but not sibilant like most flat-DF tuned iems.

I always used medium sized wide bore tips. I got good seal, there was enough bass. Now I tried small narrow bore tips, and they seal just as good + provide better isolation because I can insert the IEM a bit deeper.

I'd suggest the smallest tips with the small hole, because this maximizes insertion depth. If you don't get a good seal, move a size up, but I think those Zero Reds have a pretty wide nozzle like the Hexas have, so it might suffice, even if you usually use medium/large tips.

I am currently trying Etymotics for the first time, so I guess I am not a virgin anymore. While the feeling inside the ear is indeed a bit unusual, they are actually pretty comfortable. The sine sweep was nice, there is really no need to EQ until 14 kHz where there is a peak for me. I need to try them in a noisy environment to compare isolation to other pos.

Buying an IEM based on graphs is even worse than looking for something that "just sounds good". IEMs can and often do sound bad despite having good graphs. Find IEMs that are comfortable and just EQ, otherwise you'll end up like sharur.
