Good sound, wearing comfort is great, solid cable as far as budget IEMs go.
>other recommendations?
It's basically the one to get at the price. Alternatives: Tanchjim 4U and Artti R1, but they lack the slim, light aluminum shell. If you are willing to get a pack of filters / Simgot tuning kit, grab an on-sale Letshuoer Soloist and apply a 500 mesh filter on nozzle, you'll have an even harder-hitting bassy IEM. Ofc you can spend more if you want for other pos.

I use one because I like to use my optical output from my PC. And my DAC outputs to my speakers or my IEMs. Do I regret buying the DAC, yeah, but it's so nice having my audio stuff connected to one place.

I have separate dongles for the IEMs and the speakers to automatically switch EQs, optical can be useful for ground loops though. In my case USB isolator was enough.

Considering that reviewtroons never pointed out how sissifying the sound signature is (only barely mentioned that it may be not that amazing for bass sisters) I thought it has moderate bass level. Holy fucking shit. Dilating my axewound right now

Both of these IEMs already output sub-bass louder than the mids. If you don't hear enough bass, then consider listening to music that is properly mixed and mastered.

No major reason, probably just waiting for dust to settle on the Gate and Wanker Studio Edition.
>>

Isn't Studio worse than old Wankers?
>>
>>101496435
They aren't "worse", just different. Where the Wankers are actually somewhat different (ear gain not at 3khz, more bass then usual, normal/subdued treble), the Studio Edition is much more similar to other offerings like the Gate, Chu 2, Zero 2, etc.

the iem matters, tips also matter. even cable can have effect wearing comfort if it's not molded for your iems & how you're wearing them (use a hairdryer to re-mold)

for me and certain pos, literally forever. i do 6+ hour sessions no problem

Depends on the iem but some I can wear for 6-8 hours. Try spinfit W1s, those don't cause nearly as much itching as other tips, though its still highly dependent on shell size and shape.

I've bought a se215 chinese knock off in the past and to no surprise the sound was complete dog shit. The fit wasn't as snug as I expected but better than any KZ, Tin t2, chinkfi id had tried in the past. I converted to bullet, switching to the final e2000, the comfort and sound was great but they still slipped out of the ear sometimes and I sadly lost them. Recently purchased the SSR and was disappointed with the fit there as well. I think it had to do with the nozzle area being too chunky and not angled for proper ear canal insertion.
>>101501926
Not the Meze but ive tried the IE shell and loved it. Aful looks interesting, it slightly pops out the ear (seems unsecure) but fits most peoples contour seemingly well. Think Ill try the chu 2s, if its bad Ill go through these.

>>

cable is great, bit tangly but otherwise handles nice, no microphonics. the fact it's 1.4m is what made me get them actually. The wire earhooks are also really comfortable (subjective). Small comfortable shells, short nozzles go perfectly with spinfits.

Sound wise they're a bit more neutral than the OG wanker, driver techs feel a fair bit better (instrument separation, soundstage, might have something to do with the tuning as well). Probably my favorite budget pos to date.
>>
>>101505188
