>>102403067>Slow>Highly expensive>Repeatedly outputs bs, so much so that it sometimes imagines non-existing dependencies that can be used by threat actors>Bad code>Needs someone to maintain it>At worst no one will care about new software products anymore, finally bringing us closer to an all-FOSS world
It took him a year to know which outputs an AI produces will work the same as the code that took him a year to write. It would take way less time if he just copy pasted his code in to a new file though.
>>102403067why do they all use retarded wintel nvidia machines
How many watts did o1's data centers consume doing this?
>>102403067O1 is massive for coding, I'm unironically updating all my apps with features I planned years ago but couldn't implement before because no time
>>102403067> no views at all on his channel> starts making cringe chatgpt> garbage links end up here to get viewsanother channel to add to my blocktube list. thanks, op. kill yourself btw.
>>102403174there's been a few youtubers that had literally no views of their cringe since forever and apparently openai are going around to youtubers and paying them to shill it.
>>102403189because they're pyshit bloatmaxxers
>>102403195>pdating all my apps with features I plannedwut apps
>>102403195Dear God Almighty! You mean you're just going to ship if the ai barf runs?

for cutting edge new development, who knows, i think humans will stay relevant for that, but anyone knows that's only a small part of even phds. the bread and butter of knowledge work looks increasingly precarious.
My job is already mostly to wrangle tradies. As soon as cht gpt can start operating mechanical arms (10 years?) it's over. Sam Altman won. Humans lost.
>>102403442:)ai is very bad at what I can do :)
Yes its over until humanity merges with machine itself which given the singularity is near that's around a year away
>>102403593I heard it's a fortnight away.
>>102403067LLMs have always been very good for scientific programming, because the type of things they use python for is very simple to code but typically novel in terms variables. Everyone doing an AI focused doctorate right now is just using LLMs to generate code for them instead of wasting weeks on learning basic programming skills for what is essentially just fitting some mathematics into programming schemas. But programming for these people is just a necessity since they lack proper software, as soon as someone writes some general purpose software they can use instead they won't be wasting their time doing this type of "programming".
>>102403815based
>>102403067Only human men.
>>102403263when you have a certain amount of apps published and two full time jobs, you don't exactly have enough time to implement all the features you want to your apps
>>102405654> NEO betakek
>>102405654wtf were they thinking?Oh yeah, sex bots...
>>102405654>NEO beta...what was wrong with the old ones?!?
>>102403128>Highly expensiveIt depends what you mean, 1 short prompt it only used .2
>>102403815LLMs have always been very good for scientific programming, mostly because current scientific programming and research is all about circular reasoning and circlejerking the peer review system in a masturbatory fashion while tackling no real problems and offering no meaningful solutions. A match made in heaven.
>>102405654THEY'RE TAKING OUR JOBS!!!!
If you still think tech jobs are great, you're the idiot. Its about being the business owner and keeping the profits.
what the video shows is just that maybe the shitty unreadable code that scientists produce will become less shitty and more readable, plus probably will save them them time they would spend writing itIT is rarely about a clearly defined problem you could plonk into LLM to get an output
>>102403191>confusing watts and joulesStop sniffing glue and read a physics book.
