>>102924067Unless you are spending thousands on a PC and doing some really high end stuff, AM5 is a waste of money as of now. A GPU that will be bottlenecked by a 5800x3d doesn't even exist as of now. And as the second hand market increases while people move to the next generation, AM4 chips will only get cheaper and cheaper. By the time you will need to move to another generation, AM6 will be out, making all the premium you paid for AM5 completely pointless. There is literally no argument for going AM5 for 99% of people.

The 7800x3d is a faster cpu. The 7800x3d can create bottlenecks. Infact, the upcoming 9800x3d will also create bottlenecks.
There surely isn't any scenario where Zen 4 goes up even higher in price after 9800X3D launch, right?Right?

>>102924851 >"n-not these ones!!!!"Hey if you think they are so irrelevant you shouldn't have mentioned them, but you did because you didn't have any other choice, and that reinforces my point even more.Nobody said AM5 doesn't offer better performance, of course it does, if the new generation couldn't even do that there is no point to it.The problem is that the performance it offers won't even be noticeable for 90% of people out there. And the price to performance ratio is still way worse than AM4.And since the top of the line AM4 chips will last most people well after AM5 is already dead itself, saying there is no reason to go for AM4 is beyond moronic. For most people there is basically no point in spending the extra money for AM5 as of now other than the novelty of being on the cutting edge platform.

Personally, for working / gaming at typical desk distances from the screen I find 24" is more comfortable than 27", so for that purpose I would actually go with 1080p/24" for a new monitor in the current year, especially since 1080p looks pretty good on 24". If I could go back I would buy a 24" instead of my current 27". However if you significantly use your PC for watching shows/movies then you might enjoy sitting back more with a bigger screen.

Poorfag here so I am building on a budget. I posted here a while ago and ended up getting the rx6600. Since I don't care about anything beyond 60fps and 1080p for newer games, and it's not like the gpu can make use of anything stronger, I was thinking of going with an r5 3600.I know am5 is the way to go for new systems, but for 1080p 60 fps and the gpu I will be using for a good while, I don't think there is much of a point to spending the extra money on an am5 cpu unless I am missing something.Even if I need a better cpu to pair with a new gpu years down the line, I could just get some x3d ryzen for cheap. Isn't this the best value for money for me at this range or am I missing something? From what I understand I wouldn't even be able to utilize the power of an am5 cpu with this gpu.

>>102929741Never.Youtube algo boosts obviously wrong information because it generates more engagement.
If you get full size PCI card it usually comes with its own antennas. Basic AX uses regular dual band 2.4GHz / 5.1GHz same as AC.AX210 is 6E and can use 6GHz but only if your access point is also 6E (triple band) and that requires triple band antennas. If you plan to use dedicated wifi m.2 slot on the motherboard you need to find card with bundled long enough internal antenna cables (or find the cables separately) and screw them into io shield.

Thoughts on buying CPUs from aliexpress?
>>102933393its a no for me, but I'm also not a poor poor fagI would rather use ebay or reddit if i HAVE to buy used/cheap
>>102933393i bought a 5700x3d from aliexpress, cpu works fineunfortunately my mobo was DOA, so luckily i bought that locally from scorptec and they replaced it onsite for free
>>102933393It's fine and there good deals for certain models compared to buying in the west like with the 5700X3D.
>>102933393I buy everything from Aliexpress.Local prices are retarded and Amazon has retarded shipping fees.
>>102930133IMC is far more variable with necessary voltages for a given clock, most Zen 4/5 chips are perfectly capable of 2133 fclk for a 3:2:2 sync at 6400 but that setup typically pushes SOC voltage too high since IF scales negatively with voltage past 1.15v, most IMCs won't go past 6200 at that voltage.
How come Intel APO does the same thing as DLSS but intel fan boys don't use it as an argument on why their CPU's are better?
>>102933407Genuinely retarded if you'd rather buy off eBay than from Ali. The only difference between buying from Ali and buying from Amazon is the shipping is a bit longer, so there's slightly more risk of that being an issue and there's significantly less risk you get scammed if you buy on Ali because someone swapped your CPU for a 10 year old one and sent it back
>>102933520>your cpu needs extra bloat to work as expectedthat doesn't sound like a good thing
>>102933533Do what you want anon, im not buying used hardware anyway
Found a listing on an 8500g system for $400. Chink mobo, but am5 doe. Is it worth it bros?
>>102933393Unironically safer than amazon refund scam lottery

>>102933576Bruh, a B650M HDV and a used am5 chip is going to run circles around it.
