Pixel 7 will get A16 and maybe A17 if the rumours of Q2 and Q4 are to be believed, 8 is good until 2031 if Google doesn't get broken up by then. 9 series is even longer.Pixels have middling SoCs but amazing custom ROM support. You can also lock the bootloader on a custom ROM so thieves can't just wipe/flash/lock your phone and sell as new.

You'd think it wouldn't matter. But yeah, if it didn't work on your 6a it probably will be the same on the 9. There was a list of apps that either were open source or worked on alternative ROMs but I forget the url. Maybe if you find it you can see if another bank's app would work, maybe switch banks if that is a possibility. Pretty sure I quit my previous bank because they only supported Apple Pay and Samsung Pay but not Google Wallet, kinda similar kinda not.

Stream from a traditional streaming service (Spotify, YT Music, Tidal, Apple Music, etc) or use something like OwnCloud to expose your home NAS so you can access it from the outside world. You won't get 512GB on a cheap phone, but you may get an SD Card slot for slow storage but adequate for movies and music. But you really shouldn't cheap out on something you touch so often.Hoarding isn't healthy, maybe you should get a 64GB phone and learn to live with less.
