don't worry about it friend. when it comes to making basslines for sampled stuff like that it helps to follow the original to some degree, doesn't have to be exactly the same, just in the right key of what was originally used, so if you do change the pitch of the sample you can easily change the pitch/transpose everything else and it will still fit in nicely.
