Any full tower cases that can support 5.25" bays, have good dampening for stuff like HDD vibration, and can fit 360mm rads and 140mm fans easy?

The RG4T I have is Newey-tier in terms of packaging, I love it for the feature value but I hate it because of the unremovable PSU shroud making it a dust collector and the break off expansion slots don't help.

What's a good sale price for a 5700X3D in europe? Just wondering at what point it's worth to pull the trigger.
Also, what is its power draw like for general gaming? PCpartpicker seems to use 142W, which would put me at around 490W for the entire system. I currently have a seasonix prime ultra platinum psu, but it's only 550W and it's already like 4 years old at this point (not sure if that matters). Would that be too high for my current PSU, or is it fine? I'm assuming PCpartpicker's estimate is under a completely full load which I'm not liable to be running a lot?
Lastly, I currently have 2x8gb 3200C16D. Is it allright to try and cheap out and add another 2x8gb 3200C16D, or is that a bad idea and should I go for some flavour of 2x16gb kit instead?

The TDP is 105W. It can't be any more than this. In games it's usually way less!

> psu, but it's only 550W. is it fine?
Depends on the GPU! What is it's TDP?

> it's already like 4 years old
Doesn't matter. ultra platinum psu is qt that can deliver even more than rated 550W.

Alright, upgrade done and ram set correctly. AM5 boot times are kind of wack due to "memory training," but so far everything seems exactly the same. These RGB lights are kind of cool so I'm regretting not getting a windowed case.

Alrighty, I'll keep an eye out then. Maybe a daft question, but should I consider getting one via aliexpress, or stick to local shops only?
>The TDP is 105W. It can't be any more than this. In games it's usually way less!
Oh, that's better already. Weird that pcpartpicker puts it higher than that.
>Depends on the GPU! What is it's TDP?
I've got a 6700 XT. The edition from AMD itself (founder's edition?). Bit of a relic from the "can't find non-scalped gpu in stock anywhere" days. Google tells me the TDP should be 230W, I think?
If it helps, the rest of the system is: B450 Tomahawk, arctic freezer 34 esports, 2x8gb corsair vengeance, 3 bequiet pure wings 2 140mm fans, A crucial P3 1TB M.2 ssd and a MX500 1TB SATA ssd. I Think that should be everything.
>Doesn't matter. ultra platinum psu is qt that can deliver even more than rated 550W
Neat, that's good to hear. Only reason I got that one is because I was on sale close to me, going for the same price as most 600W gold PSU's, but it's been good to me so far.
>DDR4 is so cheap that I wouldn't recommend to go 4x8GB. Get 2x16!
Alright, gotcha. I'll ditch the idea of going with 4x8GB then.

I've read lots of complaints about it being very noisy. Nigger op didnt even say when this happened, but by looking at the mobo, it seems to have been the issue. You can see pics of the socket be cracked in a spot and have a protrusion which might have led to the cpu being placed incorrectly and some of the pins look bent and that might have caused a short.
In summary reddit op is a fucking retard.

What would be the better option for a case like pic related, where a 360mm AIO would basically take up the entire top section? I can't tell if a 360mm (represented with the additional green area) would be worse than a 240/280 (red area), because it would immediately start expelling air coming in from the frontal intake fans. Would a 240/280mm be better? I just want what's most efficient, since the cost difference is only going to be like $15-20 bucks.

If you actually look into it, they own a ~17% stake. They own the largest stake but otherwise don't have much control over the company.

Perhaps the biggest telling is Asus doesn't even use Pegatron, at least not for a lot of their PC motherboards. When they fucked up and recalled some high-end boards they came out of Lite-on.
>>
>>103177321
Why the need for any better? It's already optimal like that. The air that is flowing through the green front part of the radiator is cooler than the air flowing trough it's middle or even rear. The effect is not wasted, it adds proportionately more to the cooling of the water than the other air that is heated by the GPU, RAM and Mobo. It would be different if there was no radiator in the top, only fans.

If there was any at all it would be rather negligible. The air that is sucked in by the upper most front fan hardly touches hot parts and certainly not the GPU. Even if there were no fans in the top. A 360 rad is the best choice. I recommend the ALF3, also because it provides a fan for the vregs.

I only buy certain inexpensive spare parts that are hard to get by anywhere else for that price. I never buy parts that I would possibly want to RMA or that are rather expensive. No CPU, GPU, Mobo, RAM. I don't think it's worth the risk.

I did watch that french scammer video but put it into an AI to summarize it for me and he's wrong about the intel CPU having lower core-to-core latency than AMD, it's the other way around. I do not have any image at hand for the Core i9-14900K, unless an owner of that wants to test it himself but review websites state this:
>While we normally analyze Core-to-Core latency on new CPUs, the fact that Intel's 14th and 13th Gen are identical architecturally, we opted to omit this from our testing.

Suffice to say that it's 2-3x times the AMD one so his explanation is bullshit. Ram speed probably created the differences there in his two outlier tests.

In this case you wouldn't notice the difference except for numbers in benchmarks.
> awful idea to use four sticks
Not in any case but probably in yours. It's less likely to work. With DDR5 even less likely than with DDR4. But it's possible if you know what you are doing when you mess with manual RAM settings in BIOS and if you are willing to run many long tests for stability. You would just have to invest more time in learning the details than would be required to earn the money for a larger 2x kit. Even by flippin burgers at MacD.
>>
>>103179644
>I hope that's subject to change, given time
probably not, unless you're willing to pay for really expensive motherboards
>Is it a bad idea to use four sticks of DDR5 for all uses, or just some?
the only reason to run 4 sticks on DDR5 is if you need a fuckton of RAM
but you can get 48 GB with 2 sticks on DDR5 so for 99% of users there is no excuse

if it goes faster with faster RAM the core ultra will not do well

on DDR4 there was no difference between 2 dual rank sticks and 4 single rank sticks in terms of maximum achievable speed

2x24 of course can clock higher than 2x48 but for real latency gains it had to clock 8000+ which requires rather expensive DIMMS. For nearly the same money you get double the amount of RAM that can clock @6200MHz CL30, the sweet spot for Ryzen 9k.

Seems like it doesn't matters from what little I can gathered from browsing through their forum. Still, is a 10% single-core difference(passmark) big? This is my 1st high-end workstation build so I'm kinda scared lol

>Seems like it doesn't matters from what little I can gathered from browsing through their forum
i still wouldn't take any chances
the 9950X is on a proven platform with no weird early adopter quirks
core ultra has some very weird performance deficits in both games and productivity, it's a dice roll if it's going to be perform well or not with your workload

Probably this. Always got back to BIOS.

Not even with just 2 sticks of RAM?
>>
Those are lots of nice words, too bad i don't know what they mean-

i'm assuming that's a damn good computer though
>>
>>103179886
>Not even with just 2 sticks of RAM?
no
though i had no idea when i was doing when i was still on 2 sticks, so maybe i could have made it work
that's a weird AM4 quirk then, but note that it's not actually the memory controller or board limiting you, it's the infinity fabric
if you boot in async mode you should be able to do 4000+ (not that there's any point in doing so)

Any good MicroATX cases?
I really like the look of this one but reaching the ports on the mobo seems awkward at a glance and the thermals are higher than usual just because the airflow aims to blow upward.

I just ordered Lian Li A3
I can already tell it will have better temps and airflow than like half the ATX cases out in the market, given my experience with the tinier NR200 case

though you have to treat it as bottom to up airflow, top exhaust is most important, not rear

So do I want to buy a new card now at the end of its life, or wait till the 5000 series if there are going to be Tariffs. I assume that will jack the prices up even more?

The ones in the OP are all good. I personally like the tower series because of how it looks. Although if your looking for something slim/small the Asus Prime AP201 is the best. My only gripe is not having a glass panel and it being mostly mesh.
>>

sure if I got a craving to replay something that's not on Steam/GOG whatever like Xenogears. Though I'll prob have to figure out how to emulate it again since whatever really old emulator backup i have in a drive somewhere prob wont work in Win11 anymore

regardless, nowadays i have more money than i have time or brains, i dont even pirate anymore i'll just pay for the convenience or not play it at all

Oh wait, there's a tempered glass version but it not flattering as the mesh imo

I was searching up builds since I want to build a new computer for monster hunter and it seems like intel sucks now and won’t recover in the near future. I only have had intel cpus. Went from 6500 to 12700 and now I have to buy an amd? Is the lower build quality and lack of support and premium features and lower clock speeds not matter anymore? Is pairing a 5070 with an amd cpu ok?
>>
>>103180351
if you're on a 12700 you don't have to upgrade

>>
>>103180351
get whatever's cheap
even intel CPU is going to be better value if it's cheap enough

Look at whatever deals or bundles are available in your area. Basically the price of the CPU + pay $50 for a mobo+32GB RAM usually, heavy discounts make other choices not worth it
>>
>>103180373
But I just want to build a new pc bc I think just upgrading one part a time is stupid and I have a 3070 and the game demo played like garbage

Idk what is happening but I am gonna post here too:

My computer:
>Ryzen 7 5700g
>16gb ram both different speed
>2 ssdd 1 500gb and other 250
>A motherboard MSI a320m-a pro

Had been restarting and restarting everytime I try to start windows, I installed 2 kind of windows both legal and illegal, and still turning off and on.

I can go in safe mode,
I can use Linux on it because I tried with one USB,
It doesn't make any sounds beep or something,
I updated bios,
I clean the bios,
I clean the PC changing the paste,
Is not the psu,
Is not the ram(tried both and each one different spaces),
Is not the USBs,
Is not the screen.

But this sad shit had been restarting over and over, I am getting insane, tried with different bios config, maybe I left something out.

idk if this is a stupid question but I wanna throw an old mechanical HDD in my PC for backup/storage, i dont have an enclosure for it so it will be connected via sata, is there anyway i can have windows treat it like a removable drive and mount/unmount it as needed so its not spinning all the time?

he's biased against the koorui because his shitty calibration software gave him a huge error after calibration, not a single other youtuber got that delta E after calibration but way under 3.
I'd buy the cheapest among those.
He also got a 8.5 g2g response time while Optimum and two other youtubers got a 5.4ms out of the box or lower.
I think his monitor was factory defective.

Also he seems to be a faggot, he's comparing response time with agressive overdrive on the other two but disabled on the koorui.
I never liked him, he seemed like a contrarian and doing the opposite for cheap clicks but I sometimes check him for raw data. He's not serious about it, in many reviews he forgets to show important data or hides it behind a paywall.
>>
>>103180668
so then it wouldnt make sense to use his koorui icc profile then I guess. what other reviews were you looking at

>>103180650
AMD stopped making it but the new hotness is the 9800X3D which is the same thing but 10-15% better. if you can get a new 7800X3D for under $400 as the stock runs through its good.

the 7600X and the 7600 are the same part but the 7600 is generally cheaper and comes with a cooler. the 7600X has a 120W power limit and the 7600 has a 65W power limit but you can turn either into the other with Ryzen master. if you can get a 7600X cheaper than the 7600 in your market then its fine.w

these two got the exact same results, I also found an ICC profile on reddit which shows the same color gamut as these with very low deltas after calibration as well

My koorui will ship up soon I'll share my ICC here, I'll calibrate the shit out of it and give you native settings for good white point and so on without calibration as well.
>>
>>103180696
I see. Yeah 7800x3d prices are still around $400. Maybe I'll just go for 7600 or 7600x since I'm just going for a 4070 super anyway.

The advantage of 3d cache is also for the 1% lows, which are very important.
For example I lock all my fps to 144/120 no matter what, which means my 1% lows go even higher then and my 7800x3d does a good job. I'd get the 9800x3d if I were to buy right now. Or maybe wait a bit for a normal price.

>11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400F @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

Pic related.
I started editing videos, and it's making this thing unhappy. I want to upgrade the RAM.

It currently has (2) 8G sticks. I don't get the motherboard. It's a p03-630 motherboard. It appears to have (4) slots.

Are the slots for RAM sticks?

What are my best options to upgrade my RAM?

From what I gather you should not stagger RAM stick mem sizes are else they will default to the lowest stick.

Should I get (2) 32BG stick, or use all (4) stick slots for 16gb sticks? Or (x) factor whatnot?

Should I upgrade the i5 processor?
