If I remember correctly you can only have 2x140mm fans in the front when you're using the 5.25 bay drive which kinda sucks for me.
It's almost impossible finding a case that has 4x USB type A FP connectors and a 5.25 drive bay without having shit glass everywhere.

I got pic related EPS extension cables, they're 12 inches. It's kind of too long and the connectors meet with my PSU cable right where there's a cable management strap so I can't cinch it down.

Anyone tried terminating these themselves? I'm thinking I could just cut it in half and put on a new connector. Just interested what tools/parts I would need. I'm sure it's more expensive to buy tools but I don't mind, I can use it many times on more cables in the future.

It's not available w/o glass side panel and a normal panel is not even available as accessory. This is a shame because I like the front design. But that's it. Why couldn't they make it more flexible? Like beQuiet do, picrel. No exhaust in the top is always less efficient as warm air naturally tends to rise. First time build, can someone take a look and give advice?

I'm in the UK. Budget is around 1200-1300. Might be willing to go to 1500 if something is considerably better. I'm just aiming for a basic 1440p. My monitor currently is a 1080p 60hz and I will be upgrading it later.

Main use will be gaming/movies/web browsing. Main game I'm interested in is Monster Hunter Wilds.

Mainly concerned with the brands. I chose inno3d because it was cheaper. Looked them up and some people say they're fine but have 1%-2% less performance than the rest. Some have also said they run hotter and louder, and their customer service is non existent but which puts me off if true. I assume waiting a week or two for black Friday would be smart as well?

I've done nothing to the CPU/memory save enabling expo to get the RAM to 6000. I went ahead and ran the sha3 test 15 times, as well as all the other CPU tests aida64 has with no issues.

There was once the novelty of bigger and bigger heatsinks to look forward to, and interesting designs were discarded due to being inefficient compared to square blocks with two fans. That is honestly why I dislike them. It's part efficiency, part structural constraint (RAM clearance, 99% of cases being thin rectangles). Same with the radiators all being squares or rectangles, but there is genuinely no reason why someone couldn't make a radiator that was an entirely different shape that fit a unique case not lose out on performance, whereas air cooling will always just be a bunch of fins and copper pipes in the shape of a square because it's the most efficient shape to disperse heat. Like, Phanteks wanted to get crazy and make some sorta truly bizarre case, they could also make a radiator that would work just fine provided you could fit 120mm fans somewhere.
