I need a suggestion, but I friends. I want to download a notes app and I can't find the perfect one. I take notes for drug dosages (I'm a peds resident) and jot them down, I then when I do rounds, I usually take notes about the patient (e. g Pt in room 2 needs an ekg, needs monitoring or Pt in room 3 is fine, will discharge today). please help. free or paid or subscription based, it doesn't matter. I just want something lightweight with a good search function and has the ability to make me write quick notes on the go.

Try Google's Find My Device if you logged in with a Google account. You would need to have location services and device tracking enabled though. Otherwise, you could try contacting your carrier.

Best phone if I read a lot? I think I spend a good 8 hours on my phone reading 4chan, uni notes, general internet usage etc.
So what's the best screen type for reading and which phones have it? I have a Redmi Note 7 currently and my eyes don't get strained but the battery is failing. I tried my friend's Huawei Nova 9 but the text looks kinda low-contrast and the night light filter looks very bad (on my redmi I have it on 24/7).

If you're going out for the night you can plug in your phone, take a shower, and come back and its fully charged ready to go. Or if you're traveling you can plug it into the wall at the airport for 5 minutes. When you can recharge your phone in 20min battery life / capacity is less relevant (not that my phone dies frequently). I'm not buying another phone without fast charging it's too useful.

Are phones even rootable anymore?

Seems like the last 3 phones ive had were not rootable, either because of lack of support or faggoty security chip bullshit.

I just want an affordable phone I can root to debloat. It gets me that most if not all the cheap phones available have virtually no support on XDA.

I'm about to give up and go back to flip phones.

>>103210907
that depends really. looking into the showcase versions of galaxy 24 series they have very shitty brightness levels, possibly due to regional firmware data telling it to have at best max 400nits (lmao). I thought then and there that there's a problem with the global "third world" variants where they have shitty QC and use worse parts. this has been a thing too like a CN version of a PC workstation sucks in every possible way than the SG or US version I had. now the case with phones it used to be a thing where you would have to check the IMEI's 7 and 8th number and check the country where it was made. the shittier countries have shittier phones but also worse warranty compared to US or EU variants.
it's also much worse considering the shitty countries have high humidity and heat so using the phone under scorching ~45C sun the oled brightness goes full HBM with contrast adjustments and that along with heat and the moisture fucks it.
>>
>>103211437
check the imei using the online checker. if it's global you HAVE to fucking unlock it right fucking now. they will refuse to unlock global variants of new phones after January 17 2025. this of course breaks your warranty.

now lesson learned stop buying xiaomi as I did, I will never buy xiaomi again not even the used ones I put twrp and opnsense/openwrt for raspberry replacement. not worth buying those civi/tab/13/14 whatever since they won't be unlockable or they would but you have to earn 5000 chang points in their retard forums and suck a forum moderator's dick so they can just flip switches to let you unlock and even worse the entire forum is chinese anyways, they don't care about global market anymore. growing concern with AI-backed cyberattacks, having a xiaomeme is a liability for data and other shit. not to mention it casually installs shitty apps (mi picks) fuck xiaomi. let it go bankrupt.

I've come to a conclusion. Cameras on phones is fine, but buying a phone for a camera is stupid. Good cameras can be obtained for $200. If you spend $200 to jump a model for a better camera on a phone, you are making a mistake. A good main camera on the phone is fine. But a dedicated camera will always, always, always be better and cheaper with regard to performance and will not exist confined by form factor.

its not bad, i have one and i like , the screens good, 120Hz, battery life pretty good, performance wise i have no issue, i havent seen it throttle yet at least till now. Its excellent for a person like me whose daily use is limited to just phone calls, browsing social media, texting it has a hybrid sim slot that you can either put 1 sim card and 1 sd card or 2 sim cards, Ive played some Arknights on it, no performance issues it can run most games smoothly, biggest general downside cameras mid, its not too bad nor too good but i mean for a phone at this price point you really cant expect the best, and ive seen people have issues with the monospeaker but personally dont really mind since its decently loud and secondly I always have my headphones with me.
So if want something within 150-200 dollar range and you cant really decide on what to buy, id say go buy its a good phone.

Another good time i like is that because of makers world I can 3d print lot of stupid shit for it, It has a lot of stl files for it on makersworld

but the thing is unless you're a third worlder (europe included) 2 grand isn't a lot of money on a phone for 3 to 5 years, when you buy an iphone it's literally no headaches for as long as you have it and take care of it. everything is smooth, well optimized, supported, no weird quirks, no compromises. its only the iOS with its gay intentional iimitation that makes its annoying otherwise iOS is the best.

basically every non-iphone is like linux on desktop. a janky, shitty experience for poor people with a lot of free time.

Well I've been using android since it first came out before getting this iPhone and I prefer android. iOS looks nicer, but android to my surprise actually performs better in terms of stability etc. I'm not even going to mention the flexibility of android compared to iOS. And no, regardless of your income that is a lot of money for a little slab of phone, especially considering you can basically get the same thing for half the price
>>
>>103223773
> stability
now I know you're lying. I only use samshit phones. they are great. I buy s-series. but ios is 5 times more stable.

> flexibility
i.e. you are a tinker tranny like a linux user

> get the same thing
thats my point dude, you are not getting the same thing. its like saying you are getting the same thing when you use ubuntu over windows. not ubuntu/linux is janky shit. okay, ubuntu is fine if you keep it to web browsing but you have to limit yourself to not run into the problems, same with cheapo chink android brands and non-samsung brands.

>>
>>103223814
I'm not lying, this has been my genuine experience, and like I said I was surprised because I though iOS is supposed to be more stable than android. And maybe that used to be the case at some point in the past. But I literally get more bugs and glitches in apps than I ever did with android, except maybe with third party unofficial shit like gcam on my xiaomi. There's even issues with system apps on iOS like the camera.
I wouldn't say I did much tinkering, but being able to change your launcher, or torrent stuff on your phone, or hell even just getting cracked apps is great.
It's called hyperbole buddy. Obviously it won't be 1:1 the same thing, it won't be iOS, probably the build quality will be a bit worse, the cameras weaker, etc. but at the end of the day it's a functional smartphone that performs the same functions, but for 400 eur instead of 1200 eur.

Friendly reminder to anyone thinking of buying a Samsung -- they don't support modern aptx codecs so you will be forced to buy Samsung bullshit headphones if you want quality audio

The current best codec to have is aptx adaptive (HQ + low latency) and if your phone or headphones don't support that then you're missing out
>>

people really NEED that? Stop being delusional about shit like this, there are no other phones. I can recommend the S24 for the best Android experience but if you want to buy an inferior product, then that's your problem but your so called needs are invalid and you won't find a phone like that.

Anything with a snapdragon processor, there's plenty of options. My preference is OnePlus 13 (when it comes out in a month or two) because of the alert slider.

I got modular audiophile IEMs + an adapter off alibaba so I can easily replace the adapter without having to buy new IEMs. This is important because once the adapters battery goes to shit you can replace it without having to fully buy everything brand new. For example you can get $300 monitors + a $15 adapter and when it's time to switch you just pop the IEMs off and get the new adapter for another $15.

bro's is the Motorola Edge 50 Neo our only hope?

> 5 major android versions
> LTPO OLED
> Mid range CPU (Mediatek Dimensity 7300 (4 nm)) - but that should only benefit battery life and heat - phone gamers can get the rope
> military grade MIL-STD 810H certification
> enterprise version is the ThinkPhone 25 (but that one only goes 8/256 GB and has enterprise meme features
> because it has an enterprise version, there should be above average support from Motorola/Lenovo.
>>
>>103228097
>4310 mAh
dropped
>>
>>103228114
because of the LTPO display and the mid range CPU it still lasts longer than flagships in terms of battery life.

Spigen liquid air case with a silicone screen protector. the fingerprint sensor works perfectly and the case is thin enough to make the phone feel lightweight.
>>
>>103228097
>no IPS
>no headphone jack
>>
>>103228172
>>no headphone jack
we can't have everything anymore bro, at least not in current year.
>>
>>103228208
I thought out of all of the shit they got rid of, that was the dumbest
Doesn't take any fucking space, and it's not like Bluetooth enjoyers can't use Bluetooth buds if there's a headphone jack

So is it safe to say Xperia is dead at this point, especially the Pro? I have a 1 III now, and love it, but am considering just getting a 1 V as a final phone so I have esim assuming there will be no meaningful future models.

The S24 Ultra is 25% off right now. Any chance it'll go any lower come black friday/cyber monday or is is worth pulling the trigger now?
>>
>>103228097
>absurd msrp

You guys don't use cases or screen protectors right? They all ruin the experience if you ask me. Nothing like feeling the bare naked flat phone in my hand
>>
>>103228801
Not a single flagship was listed
>>
>>103228805
I use a super slim case and that's it
>>
>>103228921
I'm the guy with the 15PM and 1VI

Only clumsy retards need cases and screen protectors.

Intelligent patricians like me simply use a smartphone sleeve like this one. Whenever, I want to use my legendary Motorola G54, I just take it out of my smartphone sleeve and it will be bare naked each and every time.

I'd like to but I got butterfingers. The one time I took my S8 out of its case, I dropped it less than a foot onto the ground and the back cracked.
>>
Why can't android devs get their shit together with supporting their phones for more than half a year? Nobody seems to care about this and it drives me fucking mad.

>Nooo! You need aptX to enjoy music through bluetooth!!! How dare you listen with SBC!
Faggot not everybody here cares about lossless audio
>>

Far from dead buddy. Trust.
>>

Stores here began black friday sales early and the S24 Ultra is only 9% off... I would say you should go for it. Also considering it's the best phone you can possibly get right now

>last 2-3 phones
>use them for a couple of years
>not even close in using all their capabilities in storage space, camera functions daily life efficiency apps
>batteries always fail first
>drain easily
>even after optimizing settings
What do? This is the 3rd phone that I might let go before Christmas because of battery.
Other than that it's perfectly functional.
Could I give them in for a discount?

SBC is garbage though, and I am not an audiophile. At the very least use AAC on iOS and LDAC on Android.

>use battery (consumable) for hundreds or perhaps thousands of charge cycles
>"durr why does it lose capacity"
Get a battery replacement if you want to keep your phone past a few years.

>cover got irreparably yellow so I took it off and couldn't bother getting a new one
>back glass shatters within a month and the edges are filled with scratches
yeah, no. I've learned my lesson. I didn't even drop the phone a single time in that one month period
>>
>>103229525
