i have a r5 1600 on a b350 prime plus asus motherboard with 16gb of ddr4 3200mhz corsair vengeance ram.
i dont want to reinstall windows can i just plug in my old nvme into the new motherboard and have windows update all the drivers?
im upgrade to a msi mpg b550 board and a 5800x3d along with doubling the ram to 32gb.

Thoughts on this build? Going for 1440p gaming, but I really to play a whole lot of super new AAA games. I already have the gpu, so my aim is to future proof everything surrounding the gpu then upgrade that when the 50series launches. If the 50series is as disappointing as the 40 series I think ill just look for a used 4070 ti super and then just not upgrade again for like a decade (please let me know if this is retarded).

Does anyone know if the NZXT H7 Flow is a good case? Originally I was going to go with the Laincool 216 ATX cause I saw it recommended here, but the H7 Flow is on sale for a better price.

Is the power supply good? Originally I was going to get a 750W one but then I noticed this 850W one was on sale for nearly the same price and just figured why not.

Is there a way to know if this CPU cooler will be enough? I just got it from the OP and its cheaper than the AIO options.

was able to get a 7800x3d for $300 last november. the general view of 7xxx series and am5 was that it wasn't worth upgrading to an entirely new platform, so all am4 upgraders went for 5800x3d, and fomo drove that thing almost up to $400. after initial demand is gone, the 9800x3d won't get that cheap like the 7800x3d did since they are both on the same platform, so upgraders to am5 would go for a 9800x3d anyways

So my case came with 6 pre installed molex fans, all chained together. I removed the top 2 exhaust ones since they are basically completely useless for my build. Is this connector being left like that a problem? I connected everything else.

If the Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU wasn't a dead giveaway, I'm in the States near a Micro Center.

Speaking of the build and Micro Center in question I stopped by there last week and they gave me a different build that had an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU and an ASUS B650M-A Prime AX II AMD AM5 microATX. I wasn't too happy with it, and the only thing I kept from it was the Micro ATX mini case (due to spacing), using a MicroATX mobo over a regular ATX mobo, and the PSU. The downside to doing all of this is that I miss out on any savings.

If it were me I'd spring for one of the OLEDs depending on budget. The lack of LCD defects like IPS glow, blooming on MiniLED, VA smearing, narrow viewing angles, etc coupled with perfect colors, contrast, and motion response times regardless of refresh rate and FPS is too overwhelming for a home display. LCDs are good for Excel and browsing 4chan and that's it.

Let me make it simpler then, it's obviously the case that when people are loading up their little 16gb overclocking kits with vt3 to show stability, cache is playing a much larger role in throughput than when I load up 192gb with vt3. Hence there's a vast performance disreprency. It's apparent cache is carrying me with 5.4gb loaded in my screenshot even though I only have some 36mb of cache, it's clear to see that choosing the default allocation for something like 16gb of ram would not be as memory bound as I am. Hence the results you see people getting online are meaningless to mine.
