Unless you actually need Windows 11, then get a Windows 10 IOT LTSC iso and use MAS to activate it, it has security support until 2032. Spend the $140 on an Arctic Freezer 3 AIO or upgrading to a 4070 TI.

It's windows 10 without all the garbage microsoft inserts into regular windows. It's meant for "stability" focused installs like you might want in a hospital, chemical plant etc.
https://rentry.co/LTSC
Read the introduction section
ignore the shit about debloating/optimise offline/msmg toolkit, it's already debloated enough.
download the iso, use rufus to make a bootable USB stick, copy over your important drivers like graphics, network (if you need it), chipset. then install it as normal.
then use this (method 1 with the powershell script for HWID) to activate it

Thats totally worthless, atleast upscaling can be somewhat decent, frame gen is 100% useless
>>
>>103596298
Really? No-one?
>>
>>103596090
On average, for gaming, it doesn't
Reconstruction > performance > VRAM for general gaming
Generally speaking, cards have enough VRAM for their performance. Cards like the 4060 aren't really that great for new games because they can't even render 1080p without massive settings reduction, and while DLSS Quality at 1080p is a lifesaver for a poorfag, it's obviously not the first option like it is at 1440p or 4K. Basically the principle is that a card will be too weak for its intended purpose by the time its VRAM becomes a real problem

>>103596288
At that price, you should get the Gaming X Slim
https://pcpartpicker.com/product/JJZXsY/msi-gaming-x-slim-geforce-rtx-4070-super-12-gb-video-card-rtx-4070-super-12g-gaming-x-slim
But really you should wait a couple of weeks for the 5070. It'll be faster than the 4070 Super, probably for the same price. It also might have some DLSS4 exclusive feature

>>103596298
Eh, maybe for some specific workload

>>103596358
>what games/applications are these?
Even the 4090 had an out of memory issue in Jedi Survivor because the program is trash. And of course you can apply settings like Supreme in the new Indiana Jones and break cards for no reason
>>

I agree, but I don't think brute force with hardware is the way to go. Why should I have to foot the bill for developer incompetence? If you give devs more hardware, they'll just haphazardly use it. I thank god for the Series S every time I think about it

>>103596639
>frame gen
>These frames are worthless
Nope, you can get around CPU limits like in MSFS. 60 FPS is shit smoothness and shit latency, while 120 FPS with FG is decent fluidity with shit latency, so I'll take smooth shit over shit shit every day
>>
>>103596704
in it's current state TLOU part 1 looks amazing on ultra everything at 1440p using frame gen and upscaling and it only uses about 10-11gb vram which in my opinion is a reasonable amount for how the game looks
>>
B580 restock in UK doko? I thought the new shipments arrived yesterday.
>>
>>103596670
That depends on your monitor.
The only way it will look better, is on a shitty LCD monitor that needs high fps for good motion.
On good monitors even 60fps looks perfectly smooth.
60fps on my iiyama looks smoothern then 144fps on your shitty lcd
>>
>There are unscrupulous people that intentionally raise their VRAM speed high enough to be unstable, causing the bench to become corrupted, but still keep running. This can greatly increase the score. This is why HWBot (benchmark competition site) requires ECC On for the 40 series GPUs now.

I'm looking for a USB switching hub to share mouse/keyboard/usb audio across different PCs at the press of a button or remote.

Does anyone make such a device where all ports are on the back side?
I want to mount it to my desk so the buttons are accessible but having cables come out the front and back makes for a very messy and unmanageable setup. I realize if the USBs were all tiny wireless dongles that wouldn't be an issue, but I'm plugging wired peripherals in so I want all the ports on the read of it.

>Did Nvidia Hire Online Actors to Promote Their Products?
>About a week ago, The Consumerist stumbled upon claims made by various gaming websites that graphics chip manufacturer Nvidia, in cooperation with the Arbuthnot Entertainment Group (AEG), had seeded various gaming and PC hardware enthusiast sites with pro-Nvidia shills. That is to say, that AEG would hire employees to create ‘personas’ in various gaming communities, slowly building up the trust of other members by frequent posting unrelated to Nvidia, to later cash in that trust with message board postings talking up the positive qualities of Nvidia’s products.

I thought you said more than 8 GB VRAM on an Nvidia card starts at $450? The B580 is about like a 4060 in raw performance, so maybe 20% faster. But the B580's drivers are far worse, and in terms of games from the last five years, XeSS has much less integration (as XeSS is relatively new)

No, it replaces TAA, just like XeSS
Better than TAA, which is better than other types of AA

Anyone mind explaining to me how to read my Crystal Disk info shit?

Had my PC now for around a year. Always get a little paranoid when my percentages drop but these seem kinda normal?

I have no idea what to make with the data below though (been a few error log entries on the D drive?). My C drive is ticking down quicker (quicker being used "Loosely") because I imagine my drive that holds my OS will have way more read/writes to it.

Is everything looking all good? Again, PC is a little over 1 year old (got it around september of last year iirc)

House is paid off, I don't pay car payments or have any big bills so I have money to spend every 2 or 3 years on pc upgrades.last system was 12700k, gonna sell on feebay for 200 or let someone have it for cheap. But I'm not rich
either, only for a 4070ti super for example.

I think I'm going to upgrade r5 2600 to 5600 and keep using my comfy PC instead of spending a lot of money on a new one.
Opinions?

Whilst the jump in lowered system latency is very nice, I think you'd be better off to get a 5700x to get 2 more cores and keep using your pc very comfortably for many more years
but if you only gayme, according to this kikestralian there's barely any difference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTaaU12mElM

7800x3d competes for the same io die and substrate as the 9800x3d, and it also uses expensive 5nm wafers so it makes sense that they cut production of it
i doubt it will happen again with zen6 where it'd use its own packaging and be on a far more expensive node so they will have reason to keep the 9800x3d around for a while
>>
>>103597694
Not really about the brand, more about the model
You either go OLED
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#P=7,9&F=355600000,889000000&D=240000,540000&sort=price&r=344001440
or punt with an IPS like the M34WQ. There are no good VAs in that form factor from what I've seen

Thoughts on picrel? First time I ever wanted a case in white. You can't make it out in the pic, but it has the word gaming embroidered on it so I will not be getting it.

Might get the Antex Flux despite disliking the mesh pattern because a case with walnut accents would be in line with my room and I'm too contrarian for the Fractal North. Also the gold on the North is reminiscent of gaudy cheap tech accessories.

There's always something cosmetically wrong and garish with vidya adjacent products.

>>103598362
Steel legend, easily. It has a pcie gen5 slot for the GPU and one M2 ssd
