>>106474179Anon, you should get one of these desk hooks for your 770's. I rest my 990's on it and it does the job. Cheap and non-permanent.https://aliexpress.com/item/1005006975903156.htmlI also now realized I kinda fucked up by trimming the padding since it's also meant to go on the edge that goes to the desk. Oh well.
>>106503677Thanks for the suggestion, but I do have a headphone hook, I just didn't use it for that quick picture.See picrel, I 3D printed a holder on the skadis board on the wall where it rests when I'm not using the pc.
Haul arrived.>1m long fish plushy (7.19€)It is actually 1m long, but rather thin. Still pretty insane for 7€. It looks funny enough and goes well with my silica gel and battery pillows. It's nice overall.>Xiaomi Sound Pocket (15€)I was the anon that posted the review a while back, loved it so much I got another as a gift for a relative that doesn't have a bluetooth speaker. It's great.>Analog dial calipers (14€)These are great. Seem accurate enough for my uses (I can't tell if it's actually 0.02mm, but it's close enough for my use). Mini review of those following, I like them a lot.>Ant nest (2.29€)That's right baby, the antism is back. I got another ant nest to use as temporary nest until the colony size is big enough to move into the bigger ones without too much stress. It's solid as a starter nest, comes with outworld, water tower, and a feeding area. Nice value.>Polish anon's psyops tweezers (2.81€)I hate to admit it, but these are pretty solid. Nice case too. The tweezers themselves feel relatively average, but they are very sturdy and don't deform easily, which gives me hope that they have a lot of longevity. A quick try on some smd parts showed picking them up is easy enough. Worth the money for sure compared to those ultra thin shitty ones you see in bundles a lot.>Alligator clips (1.43€/10pcs)>Multimeter probes (1.44€)>Nutmilk bag (1.30€)Not much to say about all 3 of these, I needed them, they do what they say, I'm happy.>8 piece coaster set (4.05€)Very happy with these. They are nicely sized, look nice, the wire holder feels sturdy and overall they just feel like great value. Somewhat thick of course, but I don't mind that. Would recommend.
>>106503979Regarding the analog calipers, picrel is them compared to my digital ones I used before. As you can see we're really close here, within 0.06mm of disagreement for a given measurement, and I'm sure 0.02 or so of that is because I'm not pressing them against each other properly. The analog calipers are very repeatable and come with both a screw to fix them at a given measurement (the one on top) and a screw to re-zero them (at the bottom). Compared to the digital ones, they are a bit harder to move, as in take more force, because you have to move the mechanism inside too. This also has the downside of them being a bit stiffer in the position they are in though, so while with the digital calipers I'd sometimes get annoyed because after measuring if I moved the calipers away from the object to read the screen I was unsure if it had moved, I doubt this will happen with the analog ones. The depth feeler is also a bit sturdier than the one on the digital calipers. In the end, the big question will be corrosion, but they feel really nice to use, the fact that they have no battery is great and they were reasonably priced overall. Would definitely recommend, probably my highlight of this haul.
>>106504051>This also has the downside of them being a bit stifferI meant upside, not downside. The downside is them being a bit harder to move into position, upside is them staying in position once they are there.
>>106503979>Polish anon's psyops tweezersIf only Mechanic paid me for shilling them...Meanwhile Big Jeff has fucked up the delivery so I'll be getting my Xiaomi speaker on Monday when I should've gotten it yesterday. Oh well. Hopefully, it will have been worth the wait.
https://aliexpress.com/item/1005009205122159.htmlShould I?
>>106504087I love Mechanic's solder
>>106504227What's the usecase? For hiking it's probably good, titanium items for hiking are great in general, though then I wonder why you'd want double walled. For hot drinks like tea 175 ml feels a little small and cold alcoholic drinks won't be cold once you've hiked there, so the advantage of double walled seems lost at that point.I'd just get those normal single walled titanium mugs with foldable grip and a little larger (mine is 420ml) those are far more versatile. If you just want it for at home alcoholic drinks and like the vibes, sure go for it. Titanium items are usually a pretty good buy from ali.
>>106503372You can sometimes find it at Carrefour or those little shops that sell snacks from all over the world. Also, Tesco Poland isn't gone. I would know, I work there. We just don't sell anything anymore here to people. >>106503881Just copied from an app. Where do I collect my millions from all the purchases?
>>106503979Link for coasters?
>>106504288Thanks anon, I just to them to replace my ceramic tea cups at home, my kid keep breaking them lol
>>106504335Better get those painted steel ones. They're cool.
>>106503979The fish epidemic continues...
>>106504335That's actually a fairly good usecase then, the weight savings don't matter to you, the small volume doesn't either, but the material being sturdy helps. Usually I'd say stainless is better in that case, but at that price either is fine. Should be fine, but keep in mind that "double walled" does not mean it won't get hot, even though titanium is a notoriously shit heat conductor. Might still be a bit hot for comfort for your kids compared to something with a handle.>>106504333https://aliexpress.com/item/1005008950818952.htmlI got them as part of bundles, but when clicking that link they seem to be even cheaper (2.80€) as part of super deals right now (but you need 10€ to get free shipping).>>106504369Fish want me.Women fear me.Wish I didn't have such a bigass noggin' that most hats don't fit me, or I'd buy picrel or the infamous kommandostore hat.
>>106504227Titanium cups, fuck yeah. Using this one for tea on hikes, not insulated, but it doesn't really matter to me. It's nice.
>>106504465We /cupposting/ today?Fair enough.Do yourself a favor and get yourself a lid too if yours doesn't already have one. Cuts down on the spent fuel to heat your water. Some even come with built-in holes to filter out tea leaves and such.
>>106504536>lidI would, but I'm very casual hiker: only day hikes in national parks. I just bring an insulated bottle with tea, and don't burn fires of any kind. So the lid is not exactly useful to me. I just like titanium, fucking great metal.
>>106504684Fair enough, if you go on multi day hikes it's nice because you can save on fuel if you're using a stove rather than a wood fire, but for a dayhike it truly doesn't matter.
With all the talk about titanium, I kinda want this one https://aliexpress.com/item/1005005878084076.html but my current razor is already perfect for my skin and buying just for the sake of buying is just too much
>>106504319>Also, Tesco Poland isn't gone. I would know, I work there. We just don't sell anything anymore here to people.what the fuck does that even mean
>>106504710>146€ for an item that won't perform any better than a stainless steel one you can get for sub 10€Yeah, stay away kek.
>>106504747>stainless steel one you can get for sub 10€huh? where do you get those? cheap razors are mostly zamak, all stainless steel cnc razors are pretty pricey
>>106503708This is giving me VRChat vibes.
>>106504821I have no idea what that means. Is that good? Is that bad? All I know about VRChat is that people use it to e-sext with people (=children) online and that one webm of a vet as a piglet avatar talking about his deployment.I do have VR (that thick cable that's hung from the ceiling), but VRChat never tempted me for some reason.
>>106504770>ZamakThat's probably what they are then, even if they are labeled stainless. Would make sense as good grade stainless is somewhat expensive.Still functions the same though, I have one of those cheap qshave adjustable ones, no corrosion after many years, works like it did on day 1.
>>106504051very nice, anonI got my Shahe caliper last week. I like it. If it ever breaks or whatever I'll get the analog one. So I don't have to feel nervous while using like I might accidentally damage something expensive.I fucked up in the same order buying the wrong size screws by a few mm. Wouldn't have happened if I had calipers before. Should have gotten this type of tool a long time ago.
>>106504721
>>106504869Glad to hear, I'm sure the shahe calipers are great too.>I fucked up in the same order buying the wrong size screws by a few mmBit of a longshot, but if you have a 3D printer, print yourself one of picrel (that's makerworld, but thingiverse has them too). Very convenient to sort your bolts or screws after a project into their proper place again.
>>106504863Yeah zamak razors are cheap because it made by casting while brass, stainless steel and titanium are using cnc machine especially stainless and titanium will wear the machine much much faster than brass, took much more time to cnc than brass, cnc machines are often lease by hours so the prices of cnc stainless steel or titanium reflects that

>>106504465>>106504536I used to have a metal cup from the chinks and I started drinking water from it, until I realized that it actually makes it taste like metal. Then I remembered that peasants and alike used to die from lead poisoning because of the cups they used. So I figured, can I be sure that a chinese mug is actually made out of materials that won't kill me? Absolutely not, so I trashed it

what's the best best mouse that you can get for under 50 bucks on Ali?
>>106506681I don’t know about the best but I do know that you should have a lot of options at that price point. Just don’t get really high polling rate mice because they simply don’t have good implementations. As a matter of fact, they don’t have good implementations in general, even for non-chink products, but the ones on aliexpress are probably even worse. I blame Interrupt driven IO

I am obligated to inform that the Judy daki has Landed. It's absolutely massive and shockingly high quality, Mikora Anime Store can be trusted. Fortuitously some retractable chargers and a hat came in at the same time, also high quality.

>>106507175If it a full daki, pillow and cover, or just the cover? Also what price?
>>106507221>Humanity is pretty fucking cringeIt all depends on if you are using your free will, most people are not. Life's pretty great once you realize you can just... do things. Without justification. Want to go out at night and eat soup from a thermos on a bench in the park while listening to jams on headphones? You can just do that. Buy a 6 pack of beer and hand the bottles to strangers without explanation. Pay for a strangers groceries. Build a machine that has no purpose. Make a song that sucks. But something tells me a man who buys a fullsize pillow of a sexualized version of a rabbit from a kid's movie for getting their rocks off won't have issue with the free will part.

I don't know why but walking makes communication easier too. I take him to school through different routes to make it interesting. Sometimes I skip the gym and just walk alone for an hour or two discovering places all over the city, listening to music. But doing stuff at night or after midnight, no more for me. I used to lose sleep all the time doing errands for my restless insomniac brain and it would spiral into desyncing with a healthy routine, apathy, depression.
>>106507754The fact that your CPU is requesting updates from the mouse 8000 times/second... The USB bus doesn't interrupt the CPU to get higher priority. That's why it's called a polling rate. PS/2 mice and keyboards do send interrupts, making their latency lower than optical mice in almost every case.
>>106507728Doing god's work anon
>>106507912Just because the USB controller is acting as a middleman for the mouse interrupts, it doesn’t change the fact that USB mice are also interrupt driven IO devices. You are right about the latency however, but this one is a given because the CPU doesn’t have to wait for shit when dealing with PS2.

>>106507808>but it's unhealthy so I toned it back. We need structureThis is probably one of those situations where if you're at either extreme, it's good to move towards a middle ground. Obviously I'd agree we need structure, but I think I had too much structure, where every action I'd take needed justification or I'd not do it, resulting in a pretty boring existence. But obviously if you have no structure, that's just as soul-sucking.>But doing stuff at night or after midnight, no more for meHonestly the midnight examples were primarily because I couldn't come up with stuff that's both an expression of free will and generalized. I'm blessed with great sleep, so I never had that issue, but I know some people with issues sleeping and it sounds like hell. In the end it's all about doing what works for you. In my case I was just a little too much in the rational/justified lane and needed some more "because I can" stuff in my life.
>>106509127Where are you from?

>>106508781>think about the first porno you watched and how easy it was to get off, and now you need the 35min ultra hardcore hentai vore MVIs that common? For some reason I hear that all the time but it's never been the thing for me. With one notable exception that's barely outside the norm (and most people would consider still a relatively vanilla fetish as far as fetishes go), it's all vanilla shit for me.Vaginal, Breeding, the occasional bridal gown, leg lock, preferably as a written story. If anything I've gotten more tame over time kek. All the hardcore hentai shit freaks me the fuck out, especially if they're screaming or crying or some shit. But I get your point about addiction and would agree that it can be just as addictive as any other vice, it's just that people seem to reward it a special position or something.
https://aliexpress.com/item/1005005699161866.htmlI got one of those about two years ago since my active speakers died. It works fine, but it won't play a noise until the sound is a little high. If I'm playing a game, like minecraft, where walking makes a tiny noise, it won't play them, but when I break a block, it will, but only the later half of the break noise, and then it will play anything until the noise floor is low again. If I'm playing music, it's mostly fine, unless there is a song with some silence in the middle or the pause between song and song is too long.Same with videos, if there is a pause or something, when they talk again, it will take half a second.Any way to disable this "sleep" mode, or maybe lower the noise floor?

So I bought this RAM for my Laptop, the 16GB DDR4 3200MHz oneDon't know much about RAM but asked here beforehand. Everything seems to check out desu. Ran a full memtest, no issues. Don't know how to check for authenticity though if I'm honest.
>>106511150I forgot the link broshttps://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008107794166.htmlPlease do not judge me or mock my shortcomings, for we are all human and err from time to time.
Gems got nerfed. Only $1 and $5 redeems. The $5 is immediately out of stock.Theoretically you can exchange $42 per order. They expire in 7 days. It's contingent on being able snipe the $5 for 7 days in a row.I wouldn't be surprised if you're contending with bots.Sucks for those hardcore grinders who were hoping to exchange the $50. There are certainly some out there who have amassed $100 maybe even $200 worth of gems if they completed every task every day.
>>106511295I didn't go hard, but I have like 73k gems, and they're basically useless now. I mean I kinda get that it was unsustainable, but it's still annoying. I suppose I'll just try to drain them with 1$ redeems with any order I planned on doing anyways.
>>106511326do these gem coupons stack with the regular ones?
>>106511378No, you used to stay the fuck away from those.Collecting gems was only worthwhile because you could exchange them to shopping credits, which do stack and don't have a minimum order amount. Now with how hard shopping credits are to get, I suppose they might be worth it outside of a generic sale.
>>106511295I wish they nerfed the ways to farm the gems instead of punishing people who were saving them.Do you know at what time the credits reset?
>>106511150>16GB DDR4 3200MHz>full memtest, no issuesGood stuff.>how check authenticityRam is a commodity. As long as it matches its details, 16GB 3200MHz, that's usually all most people care about. If you're only after the genuine article and want to check, there's nothing for it but to google everything.- find pictures, and see if the placement of the chips, resistors, whatever are the exact distances apart. (There are apparently several standard pcb layouts.)- see if they're supposed to have chips from a particular manufacturer and if so then the part numbers of those chips. (Lots of manufacturers just use whoever is cheapest at producing the chips at the given spec.)
>>106511389i entered the gem game too late lol, aw shit
>>106511419I mean you might still get a dollar discount here and there, but yeah, overall not worth it, and you already know they'll be gone the second a sale is on. They turned from pretty OP to similar to coins - you can passively collect them, but only do the activities that give a lot, don't try to minmax it and do all dailies.

>>106511485white not only tracks greys and black dirt easily, but they also yellow as time goes on. i see white as a fashion color compared to dark greys, blues and blacks which are all durability

>>106511526Not with my coins discounts & spend and save anon!I paid $49 total for two sticks and also got like $5 back in shopping credits. Which I don't have anything to spend on anyway but might end up just buying something for the sake of it before it expires. Can't complain at that price. >>106511403Ah right thank you.I thought maybe RAM could be like storage where they could spoof it to show certain results on tests but the reality is completely different. Or like it could be a defective stick that performs OK in limited tests but capitulates in other things. That's why I thought maybe I need to verify it. I guess I don't care enough to do all that. Memtest showed me all the serial numbers and everything, I could contact Kingston I guess. I'm going to have to send my laptop for repair soon anyway so will have to take the sticks back out for a bit, just thought I'd test them while I could. Most SODIMM DDR4 is CL22, this one was CL20 which is why I went for it, that and the price of course.
I bought a bundle of simple camera wrist straps for my phone (case). It makes holding the phone more cumbersome but at least if I was ever somewhere taking pictures, I'm slightly less worried about dropping my phone and losing everything on it.

>>106516293they're intentionally trying to make it so you can only ever redeem a small amount at a time, which means you have to meet the 10€/10$ shipping threshold, and then it's like a 1€ discount on a 10€ order, which isn't nearly as impressive.Interestingly 3D printing filament seems to be the one exception, as there's a few listings over 10€ (like 10.40€) which means free shipping (most are 9.99€ for that exact reason).
