Is it good to buy a sapphire 9070xt for 620 euros now for a new PC? Or is it better to look for an Nvidia card with a similari price?
I want the card to be usable for as long as possibile, even with reduce settings in the coming years

>>
>>106830600
It's a fair price and the cards really been rock solid since its launch, no issues besides Americans getting raped over its pricing there. It may drop another 20 on black friday if you can wait a couple months. Just check if it comes with 12v2-6 connector or not, I've not seen much of 9070XTs with them going up in flames but in case you want to avoid the chance completely.
>>
(repost)

The 6950xt for $379 on amazon sounds like a pretty good deal.

You could get a 9070xt at MicroCenter for $600 like 2 days ago idk if they sold out or not, but that's a lot more money.

The a770 16gb version afaik still hasn't caught up with the 6950xt, though it might still be driver issues.

If you want The Premium HDR Experienceâ„¢ in 2025 you NEED to buy a premium OLED TV
OLED TVs reach over 2000 nits+ In 10% window highlights, 400-500 nits full screen sustained at this current point in time, beating even minileds in certain content
There is simply no getting around this fact
the optimal rig for current gaymin is as such, one large TV 55-83" (Premium market segment and panels) + 27-32" 240-500hz OLED screen for eSportshit, remember even the nerfed low brightness 42" LG oleds are twice as bright in real HDR content compared to monitors
furthermore, you can find oled tvs very cheap compared to monitors often, stack a few sales and you can get 55-77" screen sizes for the same cost as 27-32", it's simply brutal
this I conclude this after extensive research

Story time
A friend of mine that asked me to help him pick parts for a pc is still debating on getting a 5090.
I keep telling him that its not needed, that its not for him, that he only plays lol and some valorant and that a 5070TI will hold him perfectly well and then in a few years if he wants to renew the pc he can use the FUCKING TWO EXTRA THOUSAND DOLLARS THE 5090 WOULD COST to buy himself a new pc with a 7070 or 7080 or whatever he wants then.
I mean literally, pocket those 2k and in three (or five) years sell your mobo ram cpu and gpu and use that money and the 2k you saved today and build another fantastic machine that will hold you for several years
He is not convinced
And he isn't even in the country so i cant fucking hit him irl to make him understand since he moved to another country.
Whatever, thats all i just wanted to vent.

Any idea how they'd compare to those old ones of mine? And when you listed r1280s, the closest I could find is r1280Ts or r1280DBs. Did you mean either of those, or am I just shit at searching? S has an option for connecting a subwoofer, right? Should I use my old one in such a case?
>>106831539
I honestly have no idea what the market looks like right now, so I don't know what the budget should be like. Around ~$250 would probably be my ceiling unless there is some significant value increase there, but preferably I'd want to spend half that.
I use speakers every day for music, movies, gaming etc. I dislike using headsets for a long time, so I only use them for calls. 5.1/7.1/whatever-other-set-up-requires-setting-speakers-to-the-side-or-front would be hard to place, so I'd rather have something like 2.0/2.1 so that I just place stuff on top of my desk with an optional subwoofer below on the floor. For stuff that goes on top of the desk, being below 20cm tall would make for an easier placement, but isn't a must.

Okay yeah the first anon was bang on the money with the Edifiers (or some similar Chink-lite active system). I think they make a 2.1 setup at around $250 but if you want to go lower stick to 2.0 and add a sub later if you feel you need it.

for $250 I'd probably just get the edifiers and probably save the $100 for something else. If you could stretch that to $300ish and be willing to go used you could get some better class speakers but it'd be more effort, if you're not anal about audio it'd probably not be worth the hassle. Haven't heard either of them personally so I won't comment - read some reviews/testing. I imagine either would be fine and should sound way better than your old kit. One caveat I'll add is that if you're used to a cheapo 2.1 then going to 2.0 might sound thin. I don't imagine the sub on the 3030s is /good/ but it can probably shake the room more than a set of 4" bookshelves.

I didn't go all in on amd in 2015 with money I did not have and did not save up for the past decade before that
My life could not start because of that
Decades behind
It's unironically over
(I purely live in the unrealized hypothetical and what ifs)

Tldr did not 100x amd therefore it's over

Is this a good Prime Day deal for a 2TB SSD? I want to use it as a system drive.

Upgrading from this DRAM-less 980 1TB I bought four years ago that I'll continue using as a secondary drive.

Can't do much better than the ASUS XG27ACS (180Hz) when it's discounted near $220.
There are some cheaper 1440p monitors on Amazon with faster refresh rates, but I doubt they'll have better factory-calibrated colors.
M27QA is an alternative and is discounted to $180 in the US.

If you're in the US, I'd consider any of these monitors that are discounted atm.

KTC H27T22 was also decently reviewed by DisplayNinja.

Might have rattling fans, hopefully they fixed that shit over the months.

I got it from best buy and have the membership 2 month return. So I'm going to keep checking and see if the asus comes back in stock and I can swap it out. Although I've been googling around and I can't find anyone saying anything bad about the pny. I kind of like that they are US based. Might just try using it for a bit and if I have no problems I'll probably just keep it. Honestly don't like asus, armory crate is malware and I've heard their warranty system is horrendous to work with.

It’s more than I paid for the same thing a few months ago not on sale but it’s not a terrible deal in a vacuum. Just make sure you need the provided heatsink because that one is difficult to remove iirc. It’s great for ps5, for example that has no included ssd heatsink.
