Well obviously lower power should lower the chance, and there have been some advances on the connectors themselves but there seems to have been cases with any and all cards that use that connector, but yes higher wattage cards seems more prone.
There are some advice floating around to help prevent it as in not bending the cable too close to the connector, making sure its fully seated blablabla
You should probably google info on cases where a 5070 or similarly consuming card has had problems with that connector to get a less biased opinion

Wuthering Waves consistently crashes on me after an hour and a half of playing. Umamusume: Pretty Derby has weird rendering glitches and artifacts. Zenless Zone Zero and Blue Archive are the worst, they straight up don't work and crash a minute after I start them. I've tried DDU, taking out the card and reseating it, fresh windows install, everything. My 5070 ti is literally incapable of rendering Gacha games so I'm switching to a 9070 XT as soon it gets here in the mail this week. Hopefully I can sell the 5070 ti for most of my money back on FB marketplace. Worst GPU I've ever owned because I had RDNA 1 and at least they actually fixed the driver issues eventually with that one.

if you are even poorer you can buy a second hand used oled tv for most likely dirt cheaper a few hundred bucks, just review it and check so it's not completely burned in and fried and have a lines of dead pixels all over, if you wanna deal with that

I started playing Bald Gays 3 again after dropping it back in 2023 because it was too confusing and difficult. Runs really nicely on my 5070, all settings at Ultra and native 1440p DLAA. So far 120-180 FPS depending on the scene in the first 2 or so hours of the game. Makes sense, because it's "technically" a 2019 or so game? Like it was in early access or had a demo back then or something, and it's still using graphical tech from back then.
From what I've read the 3rd arc of the game is heavily CPU dependant for performance? Will my R5 9600 struggle there?

its received several patches since 2023 that made performance better because consoles/handhelds have weak cpus. its fine now mostly but vulkan mode will still give you better fps in act 3 because its less cpu bound than dx11. but if you're purely gpu bound then dx11 comes ahead because nvidias vulkan driver sucks ass compared to amd.

Honestly the biggest difference between buying a PC and console is the future-proofing. You buy a base PS5 back in 2020-2021 and you know you are getting 5+ years of support for the latest AAA games.
Meanwhile, you buy a PC and spec it so it can handle what you currently want to play - there's no guarantee that next year a game might not work on it for an arbitrary reason.

G80SD has smart os which is kinda ass and a blacking out bug intermittently if using display port, but speakers and a controller (will make you realize taking the TV Pill might actually be better)
G81SF has a very heavy matte coating that looks like ass (allegedly) and potential breakage of the configuration nipple in the back but no black screening due to no tizen os

While this is true, a lot of people prefer buying a console once and being set for this generation by default. If an average PC from 2020 has to tweak settings and play around with DLSS presets, a PS5 gamer can guarantee a 1080p30 experience with good graphics by selecting Quality mode. And a lot of PS5 players are fine with that level of performance.
