Is this parts list any good? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QMRYGJ
I haven't built a computer in a long time so I'm alright with spending more money as long as the parts will work fine together. Very unsure about the Motherboard and Case.
I'm mainly going to use this for gaming, watching Youtube, shitposting, and occasionally, video editing and rendering.
>>
>>107047422
kingston are kinda mid manufacturers of products, but the RAM prices are crazy so whatever, i only trust gskill or corsair ram for AMD personally.
I'd get an AIO for a 9950x3d, but if you want something that will last for the extreme-longterm look at a Noctua D15 or a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 maybe.
>>
>>107047422
also i prefer full-size towers, because gpu-inflation in regards to price AND size is a real thing, i couldn't imagine anything more annoying than upgrading/replacing a gpu and it being too big for the case. Love my Antec flux pro, especially once i added extra dust protection screens.
>>
>>107047507
Ok what is a good 360 AIO?
>>107047523
Good full size towers?
>>
>>107047422
> 9100 pro
Only workloads with hueg-ish files tend to really benefit from a PCIe 5.0 drive - but if you're gonna buy one, WD Black SN8100 generally can't be beat rn, being faster and using less energy.
>>
>>107047570
arctic freezer 360 III is a popular choice, i have it, its quite nice but a bit fiddly with the initial install, but you should only need to do it once so whatever. If you want style and are willing to paypig for it, get a TRYX aio. To be fair, a good dual tower will last forever in theory, so an AIO is always going to be less reliable due to all the moving parts and water. But my 5900x always ran kinda warm with my D15 so i like my ice-cool AIO now.

Tower cases? you can find lists of them on pc component websites, pick one you like the look of that fits your bill.

Antec have a bunch of great ones, Lian Li are a very popular option. Be Quiet! Dark base 800 series looks good, Fractal Designs Meshify 3 XL is an award winner, and like 1% better than the Antec Flux pro, but it comes with RGB on its fans so your taste matters more here.

Fan died in my custom water cooled PC. I don't really want to open it up just to replace one shitty fan. Considering just leaving it until more die and then just going back to air cooling.

Having a huge problem re custom water cooling loop. Having a hell of a time finding consistent colour, brand or sizing
- use case is workstation and linux number crunching / deep learning
- Australia
- Gigabyte RTX 5090 Waterforce + 9950X3D (need CPU waterblock)
- willing to mix branding
- determined D5 pump is the way to go for long-term use
- aiming for 2x 420mm rads (considering going 2x 360mm), ~30mm thickness
- rgb unnecessary, but wouldn't mind it in the fans so I can see inside the case. Lian Li fans seem nice to do plain white.

Questions:
- what brand are people using these days?
>I hear EK is now hot garbage, stock availability issues aside.
>I distrust Corsair after being a 12 year user of their components.
- any good consistent suppliers?
- are people relying upon BIOS cooling curves?
- i've been looking for a few weeks now so I'm willing to take input on anything.
>>
>>107050026

>>
>>107050319
A 217 should be ATX compatible. What do you mean by the back I/O not getting inside the opening? Is something blocking your motherboard from laying flat, or are you trying to push the panel further out than its meant to be? Some cases are a little sunken around the I/O panel, as long as its lined up with the opening and the standoff pins are aligned, then it is correct.
