How does the ryzen 7 5700x hold up? found a good deal on it
>>107109459not great compared x3d
>>107109459its fine for most games assuming you're not aiming for super high refresh rates
>>107109396>>RTX 50 Super: 2026 launch
>>107109459Pretty okay all things considered, some ue5 games would be kind of cancerous but you could probably coast with it until new platforms or the start of the next console gen.
i have a ryzen 5 5600X with a RX 6600which should i upgrade first? considering i'm not changing mother boards any time soonalso my monitor is still 1080 (albeit 2560x1080)do i even need to change atm?
>>107109459>How does the ryzen 7 5700x hold up? found a good deal on itStarting to show it's age. Considering a far more powerful 14600K is ~$200, a fair price for it would be about $145 today.
>>107109486youd be looking at 600€ for a am5 mobo, ddr5 ram (lmao prices), new cpu+ 600€ for a better gputhe gpu is by far the best upgrade now, look at 5070 or 5070 tithen after that look at 1440p oled monitors, glossy tandem is best
>>107109500https://www.displayninja.com/best-oled-monitor/ has the specific model names
>>107109486I fully agree with >>107109500 & >>107109500 except I consider QD-OLED to still be both better performance and value atm if you have ambient lighting control. Your CPU should still be less bounding in games than that GPU.
>>107109486gpu. Might as well just put off any cpu upgrade if you're not changing sockets + ddr5 pricing is fucked at the moment. Missed the boat on am4 x3d
Has Arc Celestial dropped yet? It's rumored to be 2x as good as the rtx 5090 super.
>>107109486>also my monitor is still 1080 (albeit 2560x1080)If it's been like 5+ years sureSpecs that were ultra expensive at that time now come super cheap
>>107109526you forgot your meds anon
>>107109511reason Id say tandem oled is good is how it should have less brightness limiting when you use it normallythe qd oled still has way better color volume but it might not be noticeable in most content
>>107109500>>107109511i'm brazilian so i cant afford all those things hahaonly one upgrade at a timei use linux, so i'd rather stay in a full amd environment for compability (and also prices)i've found a RX 9060 XT relatively not too expensive just north of 500usd (for reference i make a little under 400usd a month)the cheapest 5070 in comparison is 760usd
>>107109534oh I have "buy gold chain" on the calendar.
>>107109544Are you experiencing low framerates with your 6600 with the gpu at 99-100% load?
>>107109524>Missed the boat on am4 x3dyeah, i only just found out about it.i built my pc in feb 2022 and never looked to upgrade until now.>>107109528i got it around late 2022, its a nice big ultrawide. for me its more about the size of the screen than actual resolutiono so its probably gonna be the last thing i ever change
>>1071095445070 is likely the best optionits more powerful, relatively cost effective and will work better at 1440p for the futuredlss has wider support than fsrso pirate windows and buy 5070 even if you have to save a bit, the cost difference vs 9060 is worth
>>107109574Multiply your monthly income with 2 and think whether you should spend it on a 12 GB gpu. The answer is NO.
>>107109562i get about 50fps on elden ring, and between 30~40 on HD2 on medium settings unless i use scalingi can only play cb77 on medium on low, don't remember fpsi can't say the load on the gpu as i don't think i ever bothered checking, but i do remember that it got really hot sometimes, like 90ºC maybe another factor for me is how much power is it gonna draw compared to the 6600, because electricy bills are really expensive in the country right now
>>107109582you'll be running most games at balanced transformer model dlss the extra vram of 9060 doesnt make your gaming experience better with worse fps, and not having fsr4 is a not of games + all the other software benefits nvidia has
>>107109596You are stupid.
>>107109606how are you gonna buy an oled monitor with amd gpuyou wont have video hdr
>>107109613What are you talking about? Would you spend double your monthly income on a video game toy, yes or no?
>>107109620the price difference between 9060 xt and 5070 in brazil is apparenly like 20%?
>>107109631>500usd (for reference i make a little under 400usd a month)>the cheapest 5070 in comparison is 760usdThat's 50%.Didn't make it to sixth grade yet Nvidiaboy?
>>107109642>i've found a RX 9060 XT relatively not too expensive just north of 500usd kys
>>107109537Fair. I'm just personally biased toward critical viewing.>>107109593>>107109544I would hold out for a 9070 (doesn't have to be the XT version). There's a lot of unreasonably expesnive-midrange slop cards that it sits with, while the 9070 is more than twice as powerful.
>>107109593Use upscaling, don't waste so much money on a low end card
>>107109644anon lives in brazilthey don't get market prices like us or europe
>>107109574At least one of those prices is hiding a crack pipe.
moral of the thread so far: don't be brazilian
>>107109574also, you actually want to calculate your own personal uplift.$ per uplift frame = prospective_cards_price/(prospective_cards_fps - myfps)This is why actually the "best value" is a garbage value, maybe, FOR YOU.
>>107109680I disagree, I think you should always wear flip flops and keep a glock in your underwear.
>>107109544>(for reference i make a little under 400usd a month)Jesus christ
>>107109690>glock in your underwearFront or back?
>>107109544>>107109593Keep saving, if you go for a budget gpu it will last you 3 year max but if you spend a little bit more you'll get something that can last you up to 7, specially if you can hold on until the next gen as new consoles will be out so they'll be significantly more future proof than current hardware

>>107109725do people routinely get someone to ship them goods bypassing the taxes
>>107109733not that i know ofmaybe rich people who know people who can afford to travel
>>107109777I mean you just need a guy abroad buy the thing, then package it as normal postage to you.what are the customs gonna do about it?
>>107109785you would still got to pay tax on those. everything is retained by the government and only released after they checked the goods and the receiver has payed any taxes they deem to be owned on it, even if it is a "personal package" like a gift instead of a purchase
the ram sticks I bought for my PC last month doubled in price what the helly
>>107109794line going up for stupid bullshit must go on, please understandUpdoots to the left :)
>>107109791but the guy buying it abroad paid tax alreadyyou cant tax stuff twice
>>107109816>you cant tax stuff twiceHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAtry telling that to the brazilian goverment lmaofor example, every year a car owner must pay tax on it, 4% of the total value of a brand new of the same model. thing is, that price already has over 60% tax on it, so you're paying taxes over tax you have already payed when you bought it
this is listed as a sata ssd but looks like an nvmedoes this connect directly to the sada port, like an usb?
>>107109877No. It connects to the m.2 port but it uses sata not pcie
>>107109877i think there's some sort of confusion between what a sata and nvme ism.2basically the form factor is different to the type of interface.https://www.kingston.com/en/blog/pc-performance/two-types-m2-vs-ssd

Not sure if anyone remembers but I’m the anon who was having trouble with his 4070ti running hot as fuck and the fans were ramping up to 100% no matter how many fans I added and I even bought a new case to see if it would help.I finally fixed the issue.Undervolting the GPU and now every game runs fine without DLSS and with high frame rates.Something so simple.I still have time to return this new case I bought - with the only reason not to is because I have my AIO radiator mounted to the top of my case which allows for the front of my case to have 3 fans.Radiator used to be mounted at the front of my old case with tubes at the top (I’ve been told this is bad).Is this reason alone worth keeping this case? Putting everything back into the old case will for sure suck but it is what it is. If it matters, the case was $79
>cancel directv>they tell me to throw away all receivers>open receiver>2TB HDD insideI’ve been using this equipment for around 7+ years. If I decide to save a bunch of movies on this drive, what are the chances it stops working within the next decade?

>>107110540AM5? You cooked? What platform though? Just sell the extra sticks and get the ones you want.
>>107110607cheap IPS likely perform very similarly to each otherthen minileds have backlight zones that make hdr easier to accomplish and OLEDs have 0.1ms pixel response times and each pixel is controlled individually which gives you best hdr experience
>>107110607Nothing, if the panel is the panel is the same IPS in both cases, enjoy your cheaper monitor and let the pay pigs pay for their brands. If one is Oled and the one you are looking at is VA or IPS, the branded one is better.
