How does the ryzen 7 5700x hold up? found a good deal on it

i have a ryzen 5 5600X with a RX 6600which should i upgrade first? considering i'm not changing mother boards any time soonalso my monitor is still 1080 (albeit 2560x1080)do i even need to change atm?
>>107109459>How does the ryzen 7 5700x hold up? found a good deal on itStarting to show it's age. Considering a far more powerful 14600K is ~$200, a fair price for it would be about $145 today.
>>107109486youd be looking at 600€ for a am5 mobo, ddr5 ram (lmao prices), new cpu+ 600€ for a better gputhe gpu is by far the best upgrade now, look at 5070 or 5070 tithen after that look at 1440p oled monitors, glossy tandem is best

Not sure if anyone remembers but I’m the anon who was having trouble with his 4070ti running hot as fuck and the fans were ramping up to 100% no matter how many fans I added and I even bought a new case to see if it would help.I finally fixed the issue.Undervolting the GPU and now every game runs fine without DLSS and with high frame rates.Something so simple.I still have time to return this new case I bought - with the only reason not to is because I have my AIO radiator mounted to the top of my case which allows for the front of my case to have 3 fans.Radiator used to be mounted at the front of my old case with tubes at the top (I’ve been told this is bad).Is this reason alone worth keeping this case? Putting everything back into the old case will for sure suck but it is what it is. If it matters, the case was $79

>>107111433nigga you'll be lucky if you can find anything this time next month we're heading down a 2020 style shortage
>>107111444nicotroon, your clitty is leaking
>>107111364Nvidia drivers shit the bed at HDR don't listen to others its the reason I got rid of my 5080 can't power my LG C1 properly
nicotroons problem is that he's too much of a sperg, he can't stop himself from spamming and instantly outing himself, very sad loser
yeah i don't believe anyone here has a HDR monitor and I don't believe anyone buys HDR monitors TVs sure monitors never
>>107111449>>107111457>every game looks insanely washed out and uglyThat's supposedly "correct" SRGB mapping for SDR content on HDR display.Because back in1996 HP and Microsoft said picrel "ought to be enough for anybody">and half the time it blacksceensDisable MPO and blame once again blame MS
>>107111470See, your colors looked all fucked up. Grey is supposed to be grey like OLED grey not dithered black.
>>107109380>gamingany x3d cpus>budget-F intel or 7500F>workstationused xeon from chink fixed that for you
>>107111494every HDR screenshot is fucked up because HDR compensation isn't perfect, you'd know this if you had an HDR monitor
>>107111470Anon your image is overexposed as fuck Nvidia can't into proper HDR.>>107111488See that niggas image up there that's wrong HDR.
>>107111509Real Proper HDR isn't supposed to distort colors to the point dithering which your image is doing. That's what you call "compressing colors". Or Nvidias dogshit HDR implementation. It looks wrong at all times. Just like Nvidia drivers are broken and wrong at tweaks.
>>107111506You're acting like games don't turn on with normal cpus.
>>107111509nvidia app and microsoft game bar both take jxr screenshots in hdr modethey look fine when viewed in photos app on hdr display
Lmao people gloating about owning broken Windows Nvidia software and wrong calibrated display
>>107111421As identical as possible. You can get away with some mixing. But, if you're using mixed frequencies, it'll run at the lowest frequency (Or only at 4800MHz) and I think with latency it'll run at the highest latency. Or some "Safe" setting. Or else be unstable.Generally just get the exact same fucking kit and don't mix it, it's not worth the hassle.
>>107111531buy 5700x3d in that caseor just dont games at all?
>>107111364The HDR on Nvidia literally looks wrong and stupid. For real HDR look at Steam Deck OLED or PS5 both use AMD.
>>107111488So can we like make the R, G, & Bs of RGB more R(er), G(er), and B(er) than back in the 90s now?
>>107111549steam deck OLED looks worse than my NVIDIA PC HDR
>>107111549>STEAM DECK>good visualslol AMDrones are demented
The HAF has arrived by courier this morning, this case is ABSOLUTELY HUGE.
>>107111577Nostalgia of my 10 year old HAF X build unlocked
>>107111399Ram orders are overbooked until the end of 2026 and ram vendors are raising prices in anticipation of a shortage
this is like the "radeon colors are better" debunked cope
>>107109722What? Instead of new fabs, we get this gay ass shit? Micron too?
>>107111548>buy $300 cpu that's slower than $150 cpusSure buddy
>>107111606>radeon colors are betterNow hold on, I remember one time my 290X outputting 10bpc color while my xx60 would only do 8bpc, there might have been something to that at one point no?
>>107111565Yes most modern consumer displays are somewhere between ARGB and P3 thus they can display more intense, more saturated colors than 1996 "typical home and office viewing conditions" meaning bottom of the barrel consumer TVs which were the basis for SRGB.Using clamped SRGB makes sense for content that was specifically produced FOR SRGB. That's why old movies can look unnatural on new TVs.But for software, websites, anime, games etc there is no photorealistic baseline and most of the time washed out colors feel subjectively worse than full gamut.
>>107111622maybe 15 years ago but they act completely the same now, it's just a schizophrenic asspull because radeon loses on real performance and real features
>>107111606its never been debunkedamd has better colors
>>107111634AMD has worse colors, worse HDR, worse performance, worse productivity performance, worse sales, worse market share, worse human beings using their products
>>107111589It should be a used 932 Advanced in this box. I have never seen a full tower before somehow, so this will be interesting before I decide whether to paint it or mod it.
>>107111650Worse brand name too "Radeon" imagine naming your product after Radon/Radium decay which causes cancer lolGeForce destroys it easily
>>107111626>But for software, websites, anime, games etc there is no photorealistic baseline and most of the time washed out colors feel subjectively worse than full gamut.Oh I see. What about game and anime that were made back in the sRGB-era and get remastered now. Are the colors just locked-in to what they were then, or does the newer colorspace standards available make them any better?
>>107111665POOdeon POODNA is literally designed in india LOL
>>107111143>>107111229That is damned weird. Maybe it's like when Micron downsampled 16Gb Rev. B to 8Gb for their Ballistix Max kits.
i see the president has equipped his daughter with ballistix
>>107111668SDR content by itself merely exists as abstract 0-255 scale and it's up to hardware manufacturers and end users (meaning both content creators and consumers) to communicate what should be the correct absolute color mapping and set it manually.Certain SDR applications like photo editors can provide alternative color mapping data to OS but most just default to SRGB.
