I've just made a weird observation
Zero2, Apple Dongle (A2155), Windows, OS volume at 100%
Playing a 10Hz sine via https://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/
At 100% website volume it sounds distorted, goes away at 98%, probably digital clipping (?)
But when I lower the volume further, at 84% I'm getting weird crackles that intermittently come and go
But then they go away again at 83%
Then at 75%, they come on again, go away again at 74%, come on again at 67%, go away again at 66%, come on again at 60%... you catch my drift
With another shitty dongle, I'm only getting hiss (it sucks) and some squealing sound that starts at ~89% and gets louder when I raise volume even higher (I assume that's either the dongle clipping or the driver reaching its limit since it's a more powerful dongle)
What could be the cause? Could it be due to the "Cirrus hump"?

I just ordered Intuaura Balance for $159. Don't know what I'm doing but I'm hoping this will be end game for me. I like the Cadenza and this is kind of similar, but maybe slightly less fatiguing. It also has a much thinner nozzle. It's a single 10mm DD.

Buying thinking of genres is sort of trap. At this price range there isn't much of a difference really. I never had one but Wan'er 2 is often said to be more a focal centric iem.
Chu2 and Bunny are same tier and both have DSP for EQing which is not something I think you will do.
Chu2 has better construction but it's brass nozzle oxidizes, you have to keep cleaning it. Bunny is plastic but it's pretty :3

Just by looking at the Squig graph (haven't done any personal testing yet), I need a Q value of 8 to not ruin/lower too much of the surrounding area as well. But this sounds like a high number. Makes sense. I think in this situation it'd be perfect because it actually boosts the area behind it, and that area does need a boost anyway.

But it seems that no matter what Q value you use, the shelf filters won't actually start where you put it. It also affects quite a lot behind or in front of it. Like if you set a high shelf filter at 10k, it will also raise or lower the frequencies starting at around 8k.

So why the kiwi ears cadenza are not here anymore? i was thinking on buying it but... is something better than them at the same price or should i catch the bait?

KB01 arrived today. Couldn't get a good seal with any of the included tips (and they include entire 3 sets of very slightly different ones for some reason), but I had a pack of NiceHCK C04 come along with them, and they fit just fine. Dunno how much they affect the output, but they sound alright to me - and are about as comfy as celest wyverns. Haven't decided which ones I like more yet in terms of sound
