>>107358744What do you get for $50? Even the pre-overclocked ones are usually so modest, you can almost always achieve the same clocks on a reference card. For me, yeah it's worth it because I don't mind knowing I have a slightly more efficient cooler. But that's me, I know it's not really different in terms of performance, at least in a decently cooled mid tower case. What I truly recommend avoiding is shit like Strix, or Aorus. That is a total waste, unless you really don't mind paying for how they look.

Then I upgraded the GPU to RTX 3060 12GB some time ago, because the old one was really shit at running CoomerDiffusion. And then it turned out that doesn't have enough VRAM for some things I wanted to try recently, so I went full hog and bought this fucking fatass (picrel). Which can do a lot more, but still needs to offload some shit to CPU or cache models in RAM or whatever. And since I can't stuff more than 32GB RAM in this old clanker, I went and updated the rest.So here is what I will have now: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TKX7fd. Do i go 32GB or 64GB RAM?Do i go 6000hertz or 8000hertz RAM? t. >>107361222
>>107361201Yeah the guy on ebay I found had one stock left and I instantly FOMO'd in
>>107361363Do you genuinely see yourself needing 64gb in the next 2/3 years?8000mhz is probably a waste on am5
>>107361426MH:Wilds is good example of RAM hog game. Like it has 32GB RAM for Ultra but it seems liek it still not enough. Hard to say. Also what about 32GB-8000 CL38? Or 6000 CL30?
>>107361275>I'm afraid of burn inStick with IPS/LCD if you're worried and don't use it in a dark room; it's that simple.US pricing for QD-OLED monitors isn't that bad to try one out for 5~7 years ($380 1440p, $650/750 32" 4K).
>>1073611949060 XT 16gb will crush 1080p

>>107358689It's a 3rd gen WOLED. 4th gen 1440p WOLED monitors are already available. Not available here. +400€ price tag on preorders. I would have to wait to get one so why would I get one when I can wait to get a 4th gen?
>>107361275People exaggerate how good oled is while ignoring the faults so if you're genuinely worried about burn in and can't get a secondary/work screen just don't use it.
>>107361363If you have a 9800x3d and are willing to tinker with it, 8000mhz running in 2:1 mode would be probably be better in gaming. Anything better than that is not guaranteed. Otherwise just get cl30/6000 or cl32/6400.
>>107361530I figured but I also buy graphics cards like once a decade so I was thinking maybe it'd be worth futureproofing to an extent.
>>107361262Yeah, as mentioned, update the bios to the latest patch and you're good. I recently did a 14600K build and am about to do another. Excellent mixed use CPU and the mobos are solid and inexpensive.
>>107361561With GDDR memory about to be the next hyper-inflation item, and both AMD and Nvidia indicating they're going to slow or stop lower to mid end cards, I would buy now.
>>107358599can you even buy this?

I need some help building 3 gaming systems for my kids. I was trying to get them for xmas but I ran out of money. I canceled what I was able to cancel. I've still got some parts arriving soon, I'm not sure if I should build around the parts I already bought or return them and buy later. I just need budget gaming setups that are decent, and good value. I bought 3 processors, the 14600k they were only $229 cad which seemed like a good price. I bought ddr4 motherboards because I thought the ram would be cheaper, but I think i'll have to return those and get ddr5 motherboards instead. I was going to get the 9060xt 16gb cards for $489cad each but I canceled the order. Should I get the 5060ti 16gb($600cad) instead? Should I keep the ddr4 motherboards or return them and get ddr5 motherboards? should I return the 14600k CPU's? I don't think I'll get anything cheaper, that is better. I ordered 650w PSU, is that enough for my 14600k, 9060xt 16gb/5060ti 16 gb build? or should I return those PSU and get 750w? I'm pretty sure I need to buy the ram next, while its still available? Is 16gb enough for only gaming? should I get 32? it's so expensive, I didn't expect to pay so much for memory, I had to abort. I'm hoping to build the systems slowly over the winter instead. Right now they are using acer nitro 5 1650 laptops that I got 2 years ago for 500 cad each, they need an upgrade. I'm able to spend about 1500 for each system, including the monitor.
