Is there a big difference between all the Chinese aluminum keyboards like Aula wobkey monsgeek etc? Like they are all sub $100 aluminum frame fully built with trimode connection and a little screen. Are there any definitive best ones out of those

Thoughts on this custom mod?
>>
Just had a small panic attack, lol.

Was changing out my switches and then two keys stopped worked after everything is fully assembled.

I thought, okay, no biggie, probably bent feet, take them out, feet aren't bent.
Okay, still no need for panic, probably broken switches, then I replace them, still doesn't work.

now I'm panicking a little, I'm thinking, oh shit, did I damage the PCB?
Then I pull the switches out, and...
I bent the feet on the good switches, straightened them and now they work.

They do. I was surprised by how many real women were at the Toronto keyboard meetup.

Almost 100% of them were Asian though. And they were greatly outnumbered by the men and trans women. Still, for a nerd hobby they were more numerous than you would think.

Why not blu tack? Makes the key more dense than using foam, just don't add too much. The spring won't come back up from adding additional weight lol. I do this on "hollow" space bars; they're usually the best sounding key afterwards
>>
>>107561847
It's fairly reasonable to assume that very few posters here care about what you want. It is also reasonable to filter shit:

boards.4chan.org##.replyContainer:has-text(/(Geon)\b/)
boards.4chan.org##.replyContainer:has-text(/\b(geon)\b/)
>>
>>107562541
The unstated assumption of this post is that if I am complaining I must be in the wrong. Yes it's reasonable to assume some % of posters will be obnoxious. It is also reasonable to attack and shame those posters, to tell them they are unfunny, to encourage others to be hostile to them. People actually do respond to social pressure on this website, contrary to popular opinion. It's just that these pressures usually target stupid irrelevant things like "reddit spacing", rather than the thing that actually sucks which is one particular subset of "shitposting", where the least intelligent least funny posters make the same obvious zero-effort jokes over and over again. Imagine a female "comedian" doing a "muh pussy" bit, but it's a fat brown Asian guy going "muh boipussy" over and over again in the keyboard thread, and maybe you have an idea of what I mean.

And I'm perfectly capable of writing a filter myself, thanks. I hesitate to do it because Geon is an important creator in keyboard world and it would actually be a huge loss to filter all posts that mention Geon products. And even if I could write the perfect filter to never see those posts again, they would still be a stain on the thread that appears to the view of all newcomers and makes us all cringe by association. It would be as though I had a ketchup stain on the front of my white shirt, and I just don't know it's there.

(continued)
You can insist on offering me 'quick and dirty' solutions to my problem, and I'm sure you can think of many ("maybe try going to a moderated community instead", etc) but there's usually a reason I haven't done any of these things. There is no simple solution to the problem of low-quality posting. The solution I'm choosing is to stop ignoring it or pretending it's acceptable. You don't need to chillax and tolerate everything. It's okay to be mad online. "Trolling" hasn't been cool since at least 2010, since it came to mean every kind of "I'm not touching you" booger-guy behavior on the internet. "I'm bothering you, therefore I win" is nonsense but most on this website are imprisoned in this mental model. You can just tell unfunny faggots that they are annoying you. You can "talk like Sephiroth". Etc.

huh? Troonkeyboards are like 60%, that has way too many keys.
>>
>>107562970
The GODsize seething troon is still mindbroken, ignore him.
>>
Yeah this is ridiculous. It felt a little too fast and responsive at first, probably due to the leaf-spring design that makes the plate bouncy and the keys light and crisp since they're spring-swapped. I could never get the same feeling or the same near-immediate acceptance of the alu plate on any of my Intro S100s. Even the Cycle8 falls short big time and I love that thing because it's a good board for using Xinhais and Clouds together.
Seriously impressive versatility on this F1, I feel content.

Get yourself a TGR Jane. TGR boards are designed by one guy for a relatively niche audience, and he's not making thousands upon thousands of them. They cost that much because they're significantly more expensive to produce per board and you'd better be okay with that, or you'll never feel good about owning it as a bespoke art piece.
>>
>>107563470
Lazy ineffectual trolling. The last post was 9 minutes before so we didn't need this bump. What's the point?
>>
The reason why it cost this much because it's not mass produced, and its a collector's item right now. Neither typing feeling or sound acoustic make this board unique. It's purely due to the popularity of the name "Jane" from old days.... The value of Jane v2 series keeps going down these days since people realized it's really not that special other than being very limited in supplies.

>The unstated assumption of this post is that if I am complaining I must be in the wrong
Hmm, no. Seeing this in terms of right and wrong seems like a hopelessly naive position to me. As is trying to attack shitposters for that matter. They are not a homogeneous hive mind; even if you might shut up some, you end up arousing others. In fact I believe that a substantial portion of shitposters ultimately seek attention, which is precisely what you're giving them by reacting, all the while shitting up the thread with off topic yourself. This is very much amplified on a anonymous platform like 4chin. But don't let me deter you, if you think it works and it's worth your time, go ahead

>>107562761
>You can insist...
I'm little interest in insisting, I merely suggested the filters because I use those myself, and it was also my first reply to you. I filter a lot of repetitive nonsense, I think it substantially improves the 4chan experience

>I'm little interest in insisting, I merely suggested the filters because I use those myself, and it was also my first reply to you. I filter a lot of repetitive nonsense, I think it substantially improves the 4chan experience
I'm sure it might. But I'm not here to have an experience, I'm here to participate, to have a proper discussion in a shared environment.

>In fact I believe that a substantial portion of shitposters ultimately seek attention, which is precisely what you're giving them by reacting
I know the theory. I know. "If you give them attention, they win." Well if you admit this thought into your mind they have already "won" a more serious battle over you. They have erected barriers in your mind. "I can't say what I think, or they win somehow..."—who cares lol.

I am completely indifferent to whether they think they won or they lost. And in this case I think this tard actually is trying and failing to be funny; inasmuch as he thinks "LOL I made someone mad" it's a transparent cope and I doubt he really believes it. If he does make himself believe this, so much the worse for him—it is a victory when your enemy is forced to defensively adopt false ideas.

they're probably dumping old Q series stock to make Q pro/max standard.

PBT shine as well. All keycaps shine. Some PBT can shine as fast as ABS... some take longer. Depends on the mix.
>>
Maybe, however the chemical resistance of PBT is better from the start, so I would say it is safe to assume most blends of it will be too. Plus it is semi-crystalline polymer, which usually are more resistant to solvents in general when compared to their amorphous counterparts
>>
My GMK set started to shine in its second year of daily use,my hand oil must be very mild
>>
>>107566432
Yea if you mix in ABS with your PBT then it shines up faster, no shit. Pure PBT takes several years to do so instead of months like ABS.

PBT can't so the super saturated colours well, no, but there's no reason why PBT can't be as accurate as ABS with the less saturated colours. NovelKeys PBT Copper being a great example. It's identical to the GMK version. I own both, so can attest to that. Yet with sets like Mecha-01 or Laser, then no, you will never get those neon type colours with PBT, which is why all PBT Laser clones look terrible... again, until you see the real thing you wouldn't realise, as most shots of GMK Laser you see on line just don't do that neon red justice at all. It's usually out of gamut for most cameras. That ended the great PBT experiment and now everyone makes ABS caps.
