COMMON LIES BEING PERPETRATED BY TROLLS AND SHILLS ITT DEBOONKED 1/2

>RADEON HAS BAD DRIVERS!!!
They have been fine for years and have the same amount of problems that Nvidia drivers have or less. Most problems occur with productivity applications which is why Radeon gpus are not recommended for workstations. If you are just gaming you are unlikely to ever have any issues, especially if you only update to the latest driver when you need to.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lv4-poQOyo

In contrast for the first few months Blackwell had major driver issues that are only now mostly fixed. Premium day one GeForce buyers that paid the nviditax had a worse early adopter experience than Radeon buyers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTXoUsdSAnA

>RADEON HAS CPU OVERHEAD!!!!
It does not. Nvidishills likes to spam charts of cherry picked DX 11 games like KCD that do not play well with radeon but in reality if anything Nvidia has a worse overhead in CPU limited scenarios. Screenshot and videos below for proof.
https://imgur.com/a/A5MIHM6
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiElNex2OC0&t=210s
Radeon "CPU Overhead" in Warzone chart that the Nvidishill used to spam debunked: https://imgur.com/a/yy3MZRS

>9000 SERIES MSRP AND SUPPLY WAS A LIE!!!
Nvidia normally supplies over half of the market, this time they made almost no GPU's and AMD despite making a large amount of cards is unable to fufill all of this demand effectively. The result is a low supply high demand market and increased prices. However besides the US which is also impacted by tariffs the 9070 XT in many regions with some effort can be purchased for around 700 dollars or less. The card will likely go back down to MSRP around January next year when the Supers from Nvidia come out to remain competitive.

>FSR4 IS IN NO GAMES!!!
Almost every game that has upscaling can be easily modded with Optiscaler to support FSR4. The result is better than native image quality in games with bad TAA. Cyberpunk 2077 before native support was added could be modded with Optiscaler, the game can run ultra RT at 80-90 fps and 50-60 fps pathtracing with good image quality using FSR4 on quality mode.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNzI-TBV--A
https://github.com/cdozdil/OptiScaler

Native FSR4 integration will get better into the future with many games planned to have support added this year. Because of AMD's collaboration with Sony on Project Amethyst and PSSR it's likely that all future games with a console release will have FSR4 on PC.
https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/processors/the-amd-x-sony-collab-gave-us-fsr4-and-a-version-will-appear-in-playstation-next-year-too-having-already-started-to-implement-the-new-neural-network-on-ps5-pro/

>WHERE ARE OTHER FEATURES TO MATCH NVIDIA AND WHY IS PT PERFOMANCE WORSE?!?!
FSR Redstone which is coming out before the end of the year should noticeably improve Pathtracing perfomance and match nearly all Nvidia features such as Ray Reconstruction and AI Framegen.
https://videocardz.com/newz/fsr-redstone-on-track-amd-promises-dedicated-presentation

>ZEN 5 IS MELTING ON ASROCK!!!!!!!
There is no conclusive evidence for what the cause is yet. Zen 5 and the 9800X3D in particular have sold very well and most people haven't had any issues. It's possible there was a bad batch of processors and ASRock motherboards have BIOS settings that are worsening the problem, or the fault may entirely be with ASRock, there isn't enough information to make any kind of conclusion yet. For now just avoid ASRock boards to be safe and you will likely be fine like the thousands of other people who have bought and used these CPUs for months with no problem.

There's nothing to see, the squashing is blocked by the GPU.
As you can see on the board there's a bunch of connecters directly underneath the gpu connector, so the GPU is right on top of them.

thanks for the input anon. and no no troll post, like i said i never build a PC before only knoledge i have on that matter is from youtube and here. these are the current prices for RAM here atm and a lot of stuff is sold out thats the reason for ex. for the 6800 choice. but thanks for letting me know tabout the stability issue on that. the 850W i´ve chosen strangly is only 10€ more than most 650 and 750 PSU´s so i thouth id be smart and "futureproof" the system.
whats your opinion oth the GPU´s i´ve chosen?from what ive read on versus the radeon has 20w lower TDP but at a cost of more that half the amount of shader units + DLSS. like i said i have a pretty tight budget and RAM prices arent helping currently.

>>107603440
thanks for replieng anon
>you may be better off with a 7600 to save money
i had a look at the 7600 just now. its only 20€ cheaper and a 6 core CPU. i´ll have to look further into it later on.
>sure but that seems pretty overpriced for a budget B650M at this point
this was pretty much the cheapest µATX wifi6E MB currently available thats why i chose it but i´ll keep an eye open for other options.
>you need 6000 ram for AM5 that shit can't do fast ram especially not 7000 series
yeah i learned about that from the previous anon, i had no idea that the 7000series has problems with these.
thanks for helping me out
>>
>>107603615
>do you also assemble your car?
No, but if it weren't illegal to do so I would. I know in some countries you can, but in America there's not a chance in Hell you're allowed to put a car you built on the road.
I do my own work on my car and replace parts as they fail.

I can confirm this is real
Wuthering Waves consistently crashes on me after an hour and a half of playing. Umamusume: Pretty Derby has weird rendering glitches and artifacts. Zenless Zone Zero and Blue Archive are the worst, they straight up don't work and crash a minute after I start them. I've tried DDU, taking out the card and reseating it, fresh windows install, everything. My 5070 ti is literally incapable of rendering Gacha games so I'm switching to a 9070 XT as soon it gets here in the mail this week. Hopefully I can sell the 5070 ti for most of my money back on FB marketplace. Worst GPU I've ever owned because I had RDNA 1 and at least they actually fixed the driver issues eventually with that one.

Would anons mind pitching in their thoughts about what to do about an unusual GPU situation? Quick rundown:
>Reference 7900XT has a faulty vapor chamber/heatsink, can't be resolved by washer modding or normal maintenance/repaste
Unlike reports that only XTX reference cards were affected.
>Absurd 110C+ hotspots, thermal throttling, the works
>Crippled unless potentially if I buy something like an aftermarket vapor chamber/cooler, which I'm seeing priced at like $120
I don't think it's worth decking out a non-XTX, older model card. Contemplating selling it online with a disclosure that it needs a VC change to avoid thermal throttling. Though, I don't know how much I could get for it. Then the issue is:
>9070XT or RTX 5080 for 2160p?
Clearly, the 5080 is going to outperform the 9070XT and probably last me longer, but it's also several hundreds more (at least $300). Cheapest I found is $1k cards at Microcenter. This shit makes me want to kill myself.
>>

grab the 5080 if you can afford it easy, i am amd shill but only get their cards if you want to keep using linux daily

of course not, the fault is AMD didn't put any liquid in the chamber
there is no vapor in the vapor chamber zero none 110C chamber

For PSUs I've been considering either
>Seasonic PRIME 1300w/1600w Platinum or Titanium. Is Ti worth the premium over Pt?
There's also a Noctua edition of the 1600 Ti which also costs more than both.
or
>FSP MegaTi 1350w/1650w
FSP is another OEM like Seasonic that makes their own PSUs and I hear the new MegaTi is another flagship lineup. Its about $100 cheaper than the Seasonic Ti 1600 and otherwise seems comparable, but I wonder if there's a reason not to go for it aside from the Seasonic name being proven.
>>

I got a 5070 ti with a 10700f, i play in 2-4k so the cpu bottleneck is barely noticable.

turn of gay tracing samefag

I have a 6950xt, and the really dreadful slop title from hell, Hogwarts: Revenant (or whatever it's called) plays fine with rt off and everything else maxxed, 1440p. idk what you were crying about. it's a horrible game. It has a required to progress bowling minigame. horrid.
>>
>>107605747
It's faster than the 5080 after OC and you play non UE5 slop

>>

Yeah, if you play at 800x600 whilst the 5080 goes at 4K, it'll generate more frames too.
>>
>>107605787
>ray tracing = physx
It's like it could have done something. But for example when you see the streets of cyberpunk, ok, it's not even close to what real ones look like, driving home in the rain from the big city, during a downpour. idk why it's so off. irl you can get massive light streaks, on hills.

What mouse do you guys reccomend for longevity and comfort for playing and working?

I've used 4 razer death adders, 1 corsair scimitar right now the logitech pro wireless has lasted me the longest without any issue but there must be something that more comfy?
>>
>>107605794
Those aren't comparable. rt doesn't improve scores.

resolution, in most games, is crucial to winning, but some pros use only 1080p in some games that don't really use view distance.

rt is something I think a lot of foreigners like, and children. It's not really for a grown up like me, and I'm not trying to groom or anything. Like if you are a straight guy and don't want to do nasty things to kids, then you defo buy AMD.

I really don't like most ambidextrous mice, but it's all personal preference. If you're ok with ergos, you really can't beat the Razer Deathadder V3/4 Pro. I recently get a Terra Pro, it's just a modern clone of a G703 and that thing has been great but I've only had it for a month. I've had the Deathadder V3 since launch and it's been great too, feels as good as the day I got it.

get the wired deathadder if you are okay with a larger wired mouse. great sensor, comfy, very light, very good price but on the larger side. build quality wise zowie is still pretty good but they are expensive, so is vaxee but they are a grade a cunt company but maybe you can find some used.

That's a nice feature. Have you used one of their recent (ATX3.0 or 3.1) and higher end (1000w+) PSUs? How were the cables? Some reviews state that at least for like the Hydro Ti 1000W the cables are kinda...basic not individually sleeved or are too rigid, but they may very well be reliable and thicker gauge or something. I have a FSP PTM X PRO 1200w ATX 3.0 model from a year or so ago and its been solid thus far.

One spreadsheet says that the FSP MegaTi 1650 is basically what the AsRock Taichi 1650w used as a ODM, but I'm not sure if the Taichi is "better" or worse. in comparison. It looks like it may have temperature probes/monitoring for the 12V2X6 and a few other little changes like a 5V "boost" button, but not sure if its worth it over the FSP original design or if its weaker elsewhere. I know that Kitguru did a breakdown of the Mega TI and it got great reviews but it isn't exactly compared to others at the same/similar tier.

>>107605020
>>107605225
So you think both are equally viable PSUs? As far as the cables if I just wanted more flexible ones then I imagine I could buy custom cables or sleeve them myself, for both? Are the cables shit because of being stiff, or do they have any problems

I honestly don't know. I keep buying Logitech because they have comfy design and some proprietary features (MX Master magwheel) that I like, and I get tempted when they're on sale. Despite experience telling me they are not high quality builds.
>>
>>107605915
For the money spent it's a shame the cables are stiff. I was leaning TX-1300 but went in another direction when I changed my mind about GPU choice.

Look at some pcpartpicker build pics and see if your case will have problems with stiff ATX12 or the like.
>>
>>107605936
Nvidia doesn't make video games, anon. Nor game engines.

But as technology matures and more games make use of real-time lighting, the gap will only widen.
I guess if you like, you can stick to only playing old games that don't use the technology. But, why would you buy a GPU that can only play old games?

>6950XT
A good card for its time , but the 9070XT basically picks up all of the benefits so if you can get a good one its a nice step up especially between RT, AI/compute, and FSR4 support. If you really need more than 16GB of VRAM, the 5090 is the way to go but I cant' say I don't lament there isn't a nice 24GB version of the 9070XT or better. If you had a 7900 GRE / XT / XTX i'd definitely say hold out especially as we're sure that FSR4 will be coming the RDNA3's 7900 cards at least semi-officially, but at least there's evidence that RDNA2 cards can run it as well.

>>107605175
If you're willing to send it back , I'd suggest getting the Asus Astral or Matrix instead. If you're going to shell out for the 5090 AIB version (as opposed to a FE) I'd say get the one that has built in per-pin monitoring for the temps and overall other performance enhancements. Almost all of the other AIB manufacturers either just do the same shit as Nvidia FE which has problem. I mean, they COULD be fine but if I was going to take a chance I'd try to get a FE and save the cash.

If wireless isn't absolutely necessary then Swiftpoint Z2 is the way to go. Easily the best "fuckload of buttons" mouse I've used to date and well supported too. Only annoyance is lack of FOSS drivers and config, but they have a beta version of the util for Linux and it works at parity. It has features unlike pretty much most other things and is ergonomic enough to make use of them too!

Unless you're one of those who cares only about weight and don't care if its basically a 2-button + wheel only mouse, its easily the best one I've used in years. If you ARE as described above, Zaunkoenig alternately but its EXTREMELY purpose built the other direction.

My cases luckily have a good amount of room given they're CaseLabs, so its not so much about stiff cables. The biggest stiff cable issue I've had has been with a 9070XT Sapphire Nitro+ where it has a really awesome little backplate, but its a thin space underneath where you plug in either the very flexible 3x 8-pin pigtail converter, or your 12V2X6/12VHPWR directly and the latter is HARD if you have thicker and stiff cables. However that's kind of a niche thing; its doable but the stiff and bundled cables of my PTM X Pro put more torque on it than I liked, so I used the adapter just to be safe but it was probably fine.. However that was the only issue I had.

For Seasonic and FSP's high end designs with stiff cables as you say, some claim that they're stiff because of better quality wires or other features , but other claim its just because of how they bundle them or whatnot. Also, if someone was going to buy custom individually sleeved cables I'd want to make sure the Mega Ti 1650w was still well supported Seasonic is pretty prevalent in the west but it seems now that FSP is making a lot of progress in mainstream availability too (ie Amazon, Newegg)

>>
>>107606136
Anyone can get a lemon assuming no user fuckup. I've had almost everything die at least once too early over the years, but Iv'e had more success with Asus than pretty much anything else over the past decade and the hardware is technically improved vs alternates when it comes to 5090s, so I wouldn't let a single bad experience get in the way all else being equal
