Report all flamewarring, trolling, spamming posts. Long live /pcbg/!Post your /pcbg/ anyway but know that we have enraged the amdshitposter to the degree that he has vowed to shit up this thread with trash with the goal of killing it.remain vigilant, /pcbg/, report in silence, and above all - have fun.Spotting the shitposters: the shitposters may be working at gunpoint in a bot farm, paid shill/bot farm, lone schizo, etc. the shitposters rarely ever just tags the OP and asks for it to be updated or changed as asked for in the second part of the sticky. they also resort to things like ad hominem, racism, cherry picked benchmarks, false information, etc. and one of my favorite things is the lone post tagging no one but responding to some previous reply to whatever argument it felt it was losing or with a one-liner just to flood the vapid minds of the unwashed masses with <specific vendors products>. the shitposters necropost old tropes to flood the threads and bump post counts e.g. random garbage questions that any /noob/ would just google or disingenuous descriptions of problems that are copypasta with a few words changed in them. Single line, low-quality posts are often the copypasta. Most recently the OP appears to be trying a super stealth approach - creating the OP with only "subtle" alterations like "-Avoid Nvidia Due To Possible Melting Connectors & Driver Problems", griefing /g/ by creating and self deleting the thread after a short while, deleting the OP img, shilling native vs upscaling, etc.
Are we really in the last days/months of us regular consuming goyim to have access to large storage? Or will there be any return to normalcy after the bubble bursts. I just don't see any scenario, especially for the home computing tech industry, to ever adjust for us again outside of decades of catastrophic systemic collapse of the current industries.I managed to get allowed to take home a synology ds418 with 4x 6TB HDD's from my work which was literally never used just sat in a box for 3-4 years, and I started a push to consolidate my own stuff/back it up which amounted to like 2-3TB, and now have started a push for archiving/data hoarding for my increasingly doomer views and its pushed me down the homelabbing/self hosting setups.Besides this NAS I also took home an old precision workstation that was used on one of the CNC mills, it's old but solid and I put mint on it and have about 6TB of storage on it. But generally I'm just starting to host a few things off of it and just use it for mass torrenting/archiving before moving it to the NAS.Is it really dire enough that I should drop $700-$800 or so to grab a couple 16-20TB HDD's now to secure my immediate data fiending. I feel like I'm going to fill up my usable 11TB on the synology pretty quickly. Am I just getting cucked by alarmist rhetoric or is it this truly the end of affordable home computing

With one fan running ~50rpm slower (PPA) and one ~50rpm faster (PPB) in the case of the NF-A12x25 G2 fans, and ~25rpm slower (PPA) and one ~25rpm faster (PPB) in the case of the NF-A14x25(r) G2 fans, the overall cooling performance can be kept the same while efficiently preventing intermittent vibrations or periodic hummingThis can also be applied to other fans if you have resistors or set max rpm lower individually in BIOS (maybe- haven't tested myself)

Bros, I've made the difficult choice on the last day of my return window to send back this Pure Base 600. It is a glorious, quiet, and comfy case with great compatibility for an all-in-one workstation user like myself... but I just can't ignore the lack of airflow even if I'd be "fine" for most cases just by undervolting my 8-core Ryzen CPU or my upcoming 5070 when I really do the laminar flow test.Finding a way to cheese an extra 120mm fan on top for intake while keeping the 140mm exhaust definitely helps CPU temperatures and the idle noise profile is the quietest I've ever experienced (especially at containing the buzzing Toshiba MG series drives), but I don't know. I'm just not ready to commit to this, and it is a price chassis when I could probably just modify my existing junk with pads or get a different case.If I was someone with something like a smol 5060 and an i3, I'd probably be in heaven with this case and just put it in and forget about it. Maybe I'll buy it again sometime later if it doesn't go EOL, I would have painted it white or beige maybe if I don't keep it the elegant silver and black. If they made a full tower version of this case, it'd probably fix everything, even if it would also kill the epic space-efficiency of the design.
>>108156133I appreciate the suggestion, but I'm not a millionaire, and populating the case with Noctua fans would cost like $400.

>>108156972>>108156920That's almost certainly what it is. Your actual die temps are quite low (upper 30s). The IOD is likely being kept on due to your memory OC, and since the way Ryzen reports temps, it is reporting the IOD hotspot, not your core temps. So your memory OC is making your idle temps look high, when they're actually not (at least not on the CPU cores). And ~54C and 1.15V on the memory controller (CPU VDDCR_SOC Voltage) is perfectly healthy, so it's nothing at all to worry about.

>>108157033Good to know, thanks.Yeah like I said, i've had over 30 days of uptime with zero issues and i've never seen my CPU temps break 89C and that was in a stress test, normal heavy use keeps it closer to 80-82C, and regular gaming is ~68-74C. (GPU temps are 71-75C at 99% use). It helps i've got a ton of airflow in my case, though it does end up dumping a ton of heat into the room.
So what's the 4K monitor to get then? No I don't want to stay at 1440p, it's been 10 years.

BUT, I then suddenly wanted to disassemble the card to see if a repaste can improve my temps since it's been 4 years, then I fuck around with a wrench and scratch up the area around the standoff, I get a floss to cut through the stuck die and coldplate, but then I realized that my earlier attempt to screw the heatsink back on broke the screw head and left it stuck inside of the standoff. So fast forward, I grab my old GPUs from the shelves they've been wandering around. 980 Ti? Perfect candidate to test a 5070's viability in this case, too bad it still crashes exceeding 30% D3D load.No problem, 290X time. Never failed me, need to repaste it probably after all these years though even if it had MX4 when I first bought it I think.>also stuck, but I can't use the floss method to unstuck the heatsinkFine, I'll screw everything back on, nothing broke there. Repasted it, in it goes, immediate artifacts as before. Putting a pencil to stop the dramatic sag (holy shit I've never seen sag that bad on a GPU, what not reinforcing the PCB does I imagine, but MSI PCBs also suck huge titties and are flimsy). And then, that. Yeah. So yeah, 3060 Ti, 290X, 280X, 980 Ti, all with problems. Shame I can't send them all to Northwestrepair.

Why the sudden change?Because they're forcing you to use the cloud systems they provide while securing the scarce local storage resources. I'd say these AI corps are just trying to artificially drive up prices to drive people to their AI systems so they can get more and more data. That's what is driving this "bubble". >>108158730The seller has a multi-item listing, the $336 is probably a GTX 1030 from his list, and the 4090 is going to be $5000 or something. They do that to make you click. Same thing with 5800X3D, you see $200 but when you click it's a 5500G. The X3D is $500.
I should sell my 5070ti that I got for $750 USD and get this 4090FE instead.
>>108158802Yeah, do it bro.
>>108158826Should I really, though? How safe is it to buy stuff like that from Aliexpress? The store is super new. And I don't even see a seller rating.
>>108158802>dgsgsd store>ship from USkek they'll give you a fraudulent Fedex tracking number of an unrelated item. 100% chinkscam, then when you ask for refund, they'll refund you 90% so you accept without noticing and they keep the difference. Ask /csg/ if you're not convinced.
>>108157938>>108157985reminds me that I have a life outside of the cesspool that is /g/. Later, faggots.
>>108158842Looking at the other items in the store it's 100% fake.
>>108158839That's a scam allright
>>108158842>>108158802Being honestly, I didn't want to have that shitty harem anime trash in my build anyway.
>>108158855Since chink justice system don't bother with this kind of fraud (as long as they don't piss off the wrong guy, gweilos are not the wrong guy), if they manage to scam even 10% that's a lot of cash for the average chink. They'll open another shop and rinse and repeat when banned.
>>108158874Dealing with scammers on the internet is so obnoxious.China bans everyone else from their internet, why can't we ban all the Chinese, Indians, Mexicans and blacks from our internet?
>>108158839Yeah, that's probably a scam.I guess you could go through Paypal, and whatever happens Paypal will have your back.
this deal is kind of banging but not sure if 40" is just too extreme of a size
>>108158785Its magic rune crystals bro, why would it be cheap?
AI is just an excuse you can tell these fuckers are trying to regain their post covid profits from RAM
>>108158944when AI turns out to be a huge blunder because they can't improve it anymore all the fabs that are making HBMs will turn to DDR5 or DDR6 and NAND and pc gaymers will have their golden age
8K is pretty funny because you can sit real fucking close to your TV and its almost like VR.
>>1081589664k is enough, we don't need more than that
>>108158973nah, the fucking telephones lines still shimmer me timbers
>>108158966like this?
>>108158983Yes. but the TV is bigger so you can be slightly further away and still focus properly. Genuinely a disorienting experience where the TV actually does start feeling like a window into a very chunky alternate reality
>>108158966Oblivion at 4k with 8x msaa is like 32k
I am simultaneously genuinely amazed at what AI can do and how fast its come in such a short time, and then I tune into the latest version of claude trying to play pokemon on twitch and think it's the biggest fraud in the world
>>108159016cool
>>108158907The 49" one is bought more often than that one if you're wondering if 40" is too extreme
I hate ai so much bros>Trying to find a mobo with specific features>Look through a pretty exhaustive list, find one, but it's not great, let's ask Gemini >It manages to confidently research and then recommend a motherboard that does not exist>Ask it to try again with slightly different parameters >Happens a second timeHoly fuck I'm looking at used mobos to breathe life into the old hardware I got and the thing making me do this does not even work
AI helped me play GTA IV despite it being a buggy mess. Its the best and it'll work at nintendo when it grows up.
>>108159049GTA IV is playable today because of DXVK which is by a anime nerd and Valve contributors.>>108159025Remember to Max Frame Latency 1.
>>108158973They promised me 8K in 2018 and gave me upscaling instead
>>108159056How do I get mashu on a graphu?
would you trust an asrock 1KW 80 platinum 3.1 psu for 150€?

I wouldn't trust asrock anything
The 52 Core 700W Nova Lake CPU is looking like it'll only work on HEDT motherboards. The return of Intel HEDT, fucking hell how long has it been? Threadripper raped them so hard.
>>1081590574k was when the cinephile people said it had as much quality as 35mm film roll/tape, we're going to stay in it for many years more, they are not going to allow anything to go for 8k.we're going to be improving frame rates from now on and getting motion blur fixed
>>108159086re-evaluating my stance on those guys that blast on figurines
MSI needs to release the new BIOS that isn't a beta NAO
I can't tell if its a placebo or not, but ever since I very slightly loosened the upper mounting spring screw on my AIO contact (its a top-bottom screw config) so that more pressure is being placed on the lower side of the CPU in theory, the temps seem to be just a little lower. Without a way to control for air temperature I can't be sure of course.
>>108159102I mean isn't that just going to be the equivalent z90 boards of today? These things are already priced in right
>>108159106We'll get >4K displays simply because some people will want to edit their 4K content at native resolution which means having a display with considerably higher resolution than 4K.
Anyone know if NewEgg is going to roll out new bundles later this week?
>>108155733Selling used 64GB memory now for like $800, buying a new GPU to use less, waiting for memory prices to go down to buy memory again, is it a smart move?
>>108159265just sold my shit 5200mhz cl40 64gb ddr5 kit for some 32gb 6000mhz cl32 kit.
I regret not buying more RAM when I built my PC last year...32 Gibibytes feel like minimum now
>>108158350Try to get a 3060 at least.
you literally don't need 64gb of ram
3060ti you mean
gamernexus is getting less and less views on their antisystemic pro-worker anti-capital videos, are pc gaymers all trumptard chuds or are people simply fatigued?
>>108159626fatigue. nobody likes surveillance but hearing about it 24/7 is even worse.
>>108159626when people can afford things>oh let's take a look at this dude's video to make informed decisionswhen people can't afford things>why do I even bother watching videos about things I can't buy
>>108159643they barely review anything nowadays, nothing gets launched
>>108159626They're putting up pretty good numbers on their latest videos judging from their history within the last 6 months
8tb barracuda for $164.23 good or am I paying cuck tax?
>>108159149big mistake. you buy asus if you care about timely bios updates
>>108158802the artwork on that card is shit. only like 1/4 of asuka's upper body is printed. the 5080 miku is 5x better in that regard.that said, they do go for a lot of money, like $4k+ if you find a legit listing
