>Short as fuck 10 hour game for full triple A price fuck you
>Outdated engine with dated poor looking graphics besides the fancy rtx lighting
>Pathtracing and raytracing effects break in the later areas of the game and don't look right
Big AMD sponsored game for the year Crimson Desert

“amd sponsored = better” lmao ok
crimson desert isn’t even out and you’re already writing fanfic about it

“100 hours of content” yeah bro 70 hours of riding a horse between copy pasted camps

you crying about 10 hours like every resident evil hasn’t been short but actually replayable

“outdated engine” = it runs well and doesn’t stutter like every “next gen” tech demo you hype

and the raytracing “breaks later” source: trust me bro

also acting like nvidia doesn’t gap amd in half the stuff that actually matters
better ray tracing, dlss actually usable, frame gen that isn’t janky, drivers that don’t take 3 patches to fix new games

this whole post just reads like you’re mad your gpu turns into a slideshow the moment RT gets enabled
>>
>>108390385
>drivers that don’t take 3 patches to fix new games
Is this ironic? RE9 took 3 patches on Nvidia to fix the perfomance and all kinds of other weird issues like the driver bricking the gpu fans

Are there any really good PT games to try out?
I was really impressed with it in CP77 and RE9. Are there any other games that make good use of it?

you fagot linked something u didnt even read

that same TechPowerUp article literally says the game looks “very good” and is the most impressive RE Engine title to date

and the RT/PT issues? it literally says it depends on location and capcom probably didn’t finish tuning every area
that’s not “nvidia bad”, that’s dev implementation you stupid fuck

also funny how you ignore the part where path tracing only works on nvidia gpus
and needs dlss to even be usable

so yeah thanks for the source proving nvidia is still carrying RT while amd is just “also there”

next time actually read your own link u fucking retard

So the 9070 XT is way better value than a 9070 (where I am it's only about 4% more expensive), however the 9070 XT also uses way more power.

If I underclock a 9700 XT to 9700 speeds, will it use as much power as a 9700?

Are dual monitors worth using?

very little unless you're also de-lidding the CPU and heavily overclocking it.
>>108391412
the 9070 XT has more shader units vs the regular 9070. Even lower clock speeds, the 9070XT will always use more power. think of it like 2 motors. The 9070 XT is 8 cylinders, the 9070 is 6 cylinders. Even if you have both motors hitting an RPM ceiling of 2500, the 8 cylinder will always use more gas.
>>108391447
>>108391431
don't listen to the retard. Double and triple monitors are still a thing. As for not being the same res/refresh rate, that used to be a problem. Not anymore. I personally use a 1440p 165HZ primary monitor with a 1080p 144HZ secondary monitor.

it will use less power than a 9070 at the same performance since it can run at a lower voltage (which exponentially increase power) and clockspeed to get the same performance with its fuller die

It's the ethernet transfer speed. Gigabit ethernet exists in 1Gb/s, 2.5Gb/s, 5Gb/s and 10Gb/s variants. Most motherboards used to be 1Gb/s or 2.5 Gb/s for gaming models, now 2.5 is becoming the default and 5 is becoming the premium option.
You also need the other end of the ethernet connection (your router or switch) to support that speed or your motherboard's ethernet controller will automatically downgrade itself to the lowest common denominator (usually 1G at worse, non-gigabit domestic ethernet is getting rare).
If you want more than your motherboard offers you can just get a separate ethernet card. Keep in mind that you need high quality ethernet cables to sustain high transfer rates over long distances.

Is it true that 30fps content looks way worse on an OLED monitor vs an LCD? A lot of what I play is console games, particularly emulated 5th and 6th gen which is mostly 30fps, so it feels kind of backwards to purposely buy a monitor that will look worse for a large portion of my use case.
>>
>>108391658

>>
>>108391699
>Does the fast response time make the low frames look noticeable or something?
Yeah that's what people are saying elsewhere, that 30fps looks jarring and stuttery as opposed to on an LCD where the comparatively slower response time blurs it a bit.

It's got the same problem as smartphone photography. Detail is faked and doesn't hold up to scrutiny, it's good at providing the illusion of sharpness at a quick glance but it won't be adequate for any game that requires some level of clarity.

You do know DLSS is a post-process and not something that modifies the PSO, right?
I mean, I guess DLSS library or plugin or whatever is already handling what it does interact with, and that's not been announced to be changing in any way.

I think you have the wrong idea of how DLSS works.

You are unironically seeing it wrong, you are just mad about the change and photo realistic style but dismiss the fact that this can be used to enhance it to look like anything the devs want, it already will feature on heavy anime style games at day one like NTE and Sea of Remnants, You are literally high fidelity top tier lighting, textures and materials at the fraction nof cost of PT but somehow muh ai slop is making you hate it
>>
>>108392625
>Frogfaggot

>>
>>108392614
No it isn't.
It takes a frame and data that informs the generation, it then runs a generative pass over the frame and presents it to the display.

In the demo, they're using two GPUs. One renders the frames of the game, the other GPU runs the generative pass over it.
>>
>>108392637
I accept your concession then
>>
>>108392642
>It takes a frame and data that informs the generation, it then runs a generative pass over the frame
and how do you think it stores it? it's not just 0's and 1's. it needs to be in a intermediary format. something the gpu can understand. such as a shader or pso.
>>
Should I get a 1080p monitor?
>>
>>108392642
Actually it doesn't, it just a very large DLSS Model that runs neural textures and neural shaders to infer the lighting, if it was an AI slop filter it would be impossible for it to be deterministic and you would notice instantly because it would lack consistent rendering

There is no "optimizing" a black box.

They'll release a distilled version for each individual game that will probably end up taking up all of the unused vram on a 5090 and about 16gb of ram aswell. It will be just enough to run on a 5090 and 32gb of ram at 1440p, 60fps, 2x frame gen, with dlss ultra performance.

Basically giving you the bare minimum at 1440p just to run a shit instagram filter with zero continuity between scenes and moment to moment. Enjoy having characters shapeshift like a body snatcher into different people from moment to moment.

NVDA investors don't give a shit about gaming features.
NVIDIA's CFO already warned investors last quarter that they will sell fewer gaming GPUs this year, and investors didn't mind that.

Make no mistake, AMD and Intel will be releasing their own DLSS5 equivalent features.
They've been shilling the benefits of neural rendering as well.

>Well, first of all, they're completely wrong. The reason for that is because, as I have explained very carefully, DLSS 5 fuses controllability of the geometry and textures and everything about the game with generative AI. It’s not post-processing, it’s not post-processing at the frame level, it’s generative control at the geometry level.

True. afaik the XFX Swift dual-fan 9070XT is only available at retail in Australia/SEA/China and a few System-Integrator companies in the US (Cyberpower etc.).

>Ryzen 5 5600x
>Msi B550 mobo
>16gb ddr4 3600mhz ram
>rx6700xt
>RM750x psu
I built my system during the COVID era GPU shortage. I bought the 6700 XT as a placeholder because prices had gone completely mad in my country so I ended up buying it from amazon jp. Since I mostly stopped playing new games for a while, I was able to postpone an upgrade for years, but I think it's time??
What should I do? Should I buy an RX 9070 XT now and stick with my current setup, then upgrade to AM5 later? I don’t want to sink a lot of money into the AM4 platform at this point, AM5 upgrade seems inevitable eventually. Currently my budget is a bit tight (it will get much better in a few months) so I can't switch to AM5 right now.
>>
>>108395177
9070 XT is a decent upgrade from a 6700 XT if you can find one at reasonable prices.
RDNA5 and RTX 60 cards won't be out for a while.
>>
>>108392401
Cancelled my order since my brother reckons it'll get cheaper soon, and I'm not in a hurry to upgrade.
>>
>>108395277
Well, I reckon it'll get more expensive soon cunt.
>>
>>108395177
I've a similar build and I increased RAM to 32GB and switched to a 9070 XT because I wanted a more capable 4K card. Which resolution do you play at?
>>
>>108390042
Man, can't gooks just take their MMOs and make singleplayer games out of them? This shit looks like it wants to be Witcher 3, DD2, FFXVI, and apparently Ninja Gaiden, and just fails at all of it.
At least BDO had the flashy magic clusterfuck combat you couldn't find anywhere else.
>>
>>108395533
but that's literally what this is, single player bdo.
>>
>>108395566
Combat-wise it's not even close. Maybe if you were to take the most boring classes out of it and further tone them down it'd look a little similar.
>>
>>108395277
Lmao cheaper soon lol
