I certainly want to try it but from what I've read it just isnt my thing. I go for the bass heavy iems. I have a lot of heavy rock and metal stuff in my rotation so I love thumping bass + sub-bass. I also like electronic music so again theres blasting bass. Around Halloween there was a bunch of great 80s pop being played. Party music and dance music etc...

the price of the stallaris is appealing though... I just know I shouldn't get it.. I have enough iems sitting in thier cases never being used.. for my use case I think id end up using that stallaris for gaming. There I dont mind reduced bass so much. Only using that for gaming would seem a bit wasteful. I wish I could just borrow some a week.

The guy I bought the Stellaris from used it for gaming, apparently the detail is that good. Since it's a planar you can just pump the bass as far as you want, idk why reviews even bother mentioning bass on planar IEMs. I'd say it's worth the money because it's rare, looks nice, has no exact sidegrades, etc.

I just got this bijou sort of on a whim and ended up leaving it a glowing drunken review on the last iem thread. Im still enjoying this. The BC driver really does something. Its like a subwoofer for your ears... these iems ticked a lot of boxes for me so i probably won't need another one for a while.
Im currently test driving it with those new foam+silicone eartips. I think those tips are new anyway. I hadnt seen these pop up until recently.

And the Kbear is the entry level sort of BC iem thats currently popular.. theres a lot of reviews of it.

Idk if PR2 is worth it anymore, maybe if you're a collector and want to mess with a low sensitivity IEM. I'm pretty sure you can just EQ the same subbass punch into any planar. Then you'll need a balanced dongle to make up for the gain. Luckly that's $15 >>110224482

I read that TRN Black Pearl silver is a cheaper version and it's the same except it doesn't do microphone, it uses a different usb driver in Windows and the internal PEQ currently doesn't work. Either way, I only bought it because it's $15. I can just do the peq and resampling in sox, neutron or poweramp. Don't bother with proprietary resamplers, I can't even find a crack for them. Anything above DSD64 and the algorithm doesn't matter much.
