Try a different sampling method that isn't restart in fact just try using DPM++ 2M and let us know how it goes. And next time when you ask for help, know what you're using and we can respond quickly.

i would remind the posters in this thread that the pony model is merely open weights, not open source, since the trainer responsible is a madman who refuses to share their training code, even enough of their training code to label and pre-process their data before/without the third text encoder used to translate artist and character labels into *extra* encodings that their u-net training run used.(hey remember how everyone talked about the artist encodings but never thought it through, step by step, and realized that pony-man was using a third fuckin text encoder, both at training time and inference time, which was never shared with the regular model?)the closest we've ever had to an open source model was the really mediocre one trained by the lycoris guy. who used something like a hadamard or kronecker decomposition to 'try to fine tune every weight in the model', but chose a dataset and data labelling so bad that we cannot interpret his results. its more fair to say that open source models haven't started yet, but soon might.

I hate how Pony forces us to use source_anime as a tag, but then I feel like it washes out the skin detail down to flat anime, 2-tone shading most times. I am now beginning to resent the sepia tone (reddish-brown) and see it everywhere now. I also hate how much of my stuff just looks so scratchy, blurry, and muddy. I can only render at 600x600 though (then upscale) bc it takes too long otherwise for me. I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I am forced to use "source_cartoon, source pony" in the negatives too or it just looks like utter garbage. Maybe I need to change models or change the VAE. But I have already tried default Pony, AutismMix, AutismConfetti, and AutismDPO.

SDXL models can only reliably produce good outputs at specific resolutions. There's some LORAs that help with the color issues but if you're having issues with blurriness or generally scuffed output it's because of the resolution you're generating at, sorry.

Sometimes the face becomes too squished and the character looks like they have aspergers. I think maybe the more extreme effects might be mitigated if I extract the weight diffs as a locon.
