Here are two of my seperate top gear top tips for genning images and training loras:I found some useful settings for consistent highres images using any noob vpred based checkpoint with the following settings:>Euler A, 28-32 steps, sgm uniform, 4 CFG, 2 PAG, CFG rescale 0.5-0.6, res 1344x1724 (or any other base res times 1,5)>kohya highres fix enabled, leave settings at default EXCEPT downscale factor - set that to 1.5.And gen away. I'm unfortunately not at a pc right now so can't show a XYZ grid, but I promise you'll get decent results.Now for the lora tip: if you're curating a dataset for an artist style, and notice not all of their images are consistent (some older works might be slightly off compared to newer ones, some might be gifs/animated and look too simple/overly smooth compared to mentioned artist's normal style) you can train an initial artstyle lora on their consistent works, then afterwards use the initial lora on the rest of an artist's images/gifs/whatever by inputting said works into img2img with low denoise (between 0.5-0.6) and some combination of controlnet/upscale + your lora to add missing details and make mentioned artworks more aligned towards the artist's newer or more recognizable style. Same technique can also be used if your artist doesn't have that many works initially, and your trained lora is too rigid and stiff for any sort of composition/posing/characters due to lack of training data. Here you can use other images that introduce more variety in terms of poses/views/chars, and put them through img2img like I mentioned above, with your initial lora, before adding the modified images to your dataset for a 2nd run.Tune in next week for more top gear top tips. The only part where it noticeably struggles is that it seemingly can't generate good realistic hair, and instead makes something half way between realistic and figure hair... which isn't too bad actually and does the job, but I thought I'd point it out and wish it was capable of that too, just to go the extra mile.The realism, as far as the little details go such as in the very fine texture of the skin, could get further of course, but - and I can't overstate this - this is a REALLY good baseline and something I haven't seen anywhere else, or at least not seen after a lot of forcing a (decent) model to do what I want with a lot of inpainting and whatnot, and those few models that can, struggle a lot at it. (They may be realistic, but not know the proportions of an anime girl. They fail there.) But not this one. This one gets the baseline right, right out of the box. I can't be thankful enough for that.Also the amount of girls from different copyrights it knows is very helpful, no lora needed; the same cannot be said of other checkpoints I've regularly used in the past. If being base Illustrious or just the effort of the developer have anything to do with the model's knowledge, prompt understanding (with regards to negatives too), or its quality, or its radiant style, I am thankful.
