Plus, so long as you keep to your studies outside of working on your comic, it will continue to improve and before you know it you'll look back on your first pages and while they might be old, you'll still be fond of them because they're a record of where you were at when you first started. If you keep redoing pages each time you feel like you've improved, the comic will never get done and you'll burn yourself out chasing a standard that's always out of reach. Just do your best to keep an open mind while studying and don't be afraid of failing, we learn the most when we eat total shit sometimes. Best of luck.

The way I see it and in the vague story outlines I have for him, it's more of a defense mechanism? Something to keep the other nobles and higher ups in society on edge. Penny has always wanted to meet an alien and answer the question of if we're alone in the universe, due to the influence of her aunt and uncle who run an ancient aliens website. When they disappeared in the desert, they left Penny their trailer in their will and put her in charge of their website. Penny moved out from her suburb in to their tiny desert town in NV located near Area 51 and became an obsessive femcel, dedicating all her time to researching ancient aliens and working on the website. She works at the gas station to pay the bills.

This is Dulce. She’s one of the main characters of my comic, a sitcom about two suburbanite families living in the 90s Midwest. She’s peppy, caring and quick-witted but short-tempered, headstrong and snarky, especially when it comes to dealing with her family. She doesn’t take anyone’s shit but in the way a stern mother does, not the immune-to-criticism girlboss kind. She loves her two kids and her husband dearly even though he’s a fat bastard and she knows she can do better; a big part of their relationship is the push-and-pull, he’s a very conservative, arrogant man’s man but when he gets carried away, she’s the only one who can keep him in line and he gets like a sopping wet cat around her. Dulce serves as a voice of reason to the rest of the cast but her temper can get the better of her.She doesn’t have a complex or deep design by any means but she’s mine and I think she fits the setting. I'm still working on her reference, this is a one-off attempt at a panel mimicking a 90’s cartoon cel. >>7087826She's very cute. >>7103878That's actually an interesting note, it's not textured properly 'cause the color is so dark and adding a bunch of lines would make it look awful but the idea is essentially that his hair solidifies and becomes a mass of scales and horn, so it wouldnt move like hair anymore. the texture in my head is kind of rocky, like how again, if it wasnt so dark and I was better, I wanted the body to have a halfway look between dragon scales and like cooled magma.In my own rendering, the wings aren't supposed to look particularly feathery, in fact the edges of the flames are supposed to more resemble torn up bats wings, but in a theoretical 3d render it would just be fire without much of a discernable shape, but a feathery look would be a nice way to render it as well.I only picked up on the bird look while making that second image, and it wasn't intentional, I actually debated including the cape, but ultimately kept it because I thought it was one of the only design elements that was actually distinct. I actually like the top-heavy sillouette it gives when its omitted, and it looks a bit more 'natural', but I like bottom-heavy designs too much and it acts as a vestige of his princeliness. I also really like the shape of the face and might steal it, I really like how it's clearly a human skull, but extended and sharpened juuust slightly, trying to return to dragon snout but stopped by binding magic. Lucy is the daughter of a crime lord, and she never received attention from her father. She would eventually starve for attention, to the point of hurting and soon killing people for it. Eventually, she would just do it because she enjoys it. As she gets older, she would take over her father's crime syndicate, and change the group's overall mindset to "the strong will kill the weak" or somthing, but in reality, she's doing it so people will keep giving her attention for killing people.As for the other guy, he's a reflection of all the worst parts and the most self-destructive version of me. I created him when I was very depressed and suicidal, and a friend recommended venting my frustration through writing a story. My friend went through the same things I did, and he said it helped him a lot, which it did for me too. The guy is depressed, and he lives a dangerous life in a gunrunning gang because it makes him feel something, makes him feel alive. In his head, he thinks he's invincible, but he snaps back into reality when he sees the friends he made in the gang die. He comes to the realization that he's as vulnerable as everyone else and that he'll end up like them eventually. He would soon mentaly snap and develops a death wish, kind of going back to square one with his depression. He's either going get out of all of this alive or go out guns blazing. For his name, I honestly never gave him or have the though of giving him one, and I dont plan on it either, maybe ill give a nick name but thats it. also im not as drepressed anymore, I'm still am but not as bad as I written them.
