I think I'm realizing that when drawing slight/effeminate men, you really shouldn't shy away from the shoulders.I used to think you should make the shoulders really tiny, but that just ends up looking like a stylistic or cartoonish thing, when instead, you don't have to worry about the shoulders as long as the rest of the frame is slight, and in fact, the squared shape of the shoulders as opposed to a sloping shape, combined with aspects like a very thin neck/arms or visible colarbone, are VITAL in establishing that it's a male you're looking at, with the contrast of the shape of the shoulders actually accentuating the rest of the frame rather than making it look too large

>>7149866>>7149868I'm not that great with watercolors but I'd say definitely use a normal brush if you can since it's hard to control the water and paint saturation with a water brush. Being able to dab the extra water off your brush is very useful imo. And if you want to layer colors to intensify or darken them it's difficult not to reactivate and lift off paint when your brush is constantly wet
