How do I make better leg sketches?
Good question OP. I've only ever drawn 1 horse, and it looked bad, so I tried to make it look more Disney to help fit.
I heard many artists say horses are the perfect animal to focus, cuz if you master them you can draw all the others. Is this true?

You can apply this to any mammal.Use reference.Study the skeleton and visible muscle structure, simplify the shapes. (cubes, cylinders, spheres, etc.)Construct the animal with any method you feel comfortable with, keep it loose.Draw 3 different poses from refence and then 1 from imagination.Isolate problem areas into their own studies. If you have trouble with front legs, draw those.Keep drawing with purpose.
