How about you go draw instead of belittling other’s drawings? I bet he draws better than you.
>>
>>7396561
I bet he doesn't.
There's enough hugboxes. Few places exist for artists to see in the mirror and experience the dread of possibly never improving.

To stop being hyperfragile is the first step. Then one must analyze and improve the weakest areas. I have plenty weak areas, I suck. Improving, studying, grinding is hard, drawing is fun. But to just draw means to improve very little, if at all. The hard part is learning, the fun part is implementation of the learned thing.

See the eternal beg and despair.

>>
>>7396722
I hope he doesn't post his work because it would be playing into the hands of fags like you.
>>
>>7396724
Me too because it would expose him aka YOU for being now draw pemabegs

As I said, I am too beg (happy with my fast progress, though).

I know how learning and improving works.
Probably the reason why there's even hope for anons who start late: plenty of walks of life who had to learn how to learn the right way.

"just draw" is the language equivalent of doing 15 minutes of Duolingo a day.
>>
>>7396561
Don't bother arguing with nodraws

If you're right (you are) this anon is not worth your time

If you're wrong it doesn't change anything OP is still a faggot who doesn't realize that just draw is advice given to retards who ask basicbitch questions and don't deserve a well thought out answer as they aren't asking specific questions showing how shallow their attempt at improving is.
>>
>>7396740
Yeah opened aanother broswer to skip the cookies, congratulations. Now if you drew instead of brining down others you might actually leave /beg,
>>
>>7396740
If you were so enlightened, you would post work.

/ic/ never improves because /ic/ lacks the self-awareness to honestly critique themselves. "Just draw" only works if you have the capability to identify your own flaws and correct them. And something as simple as that is a bit much to ask of most of this board. Crabbing is a flaw, and it needs to be corrected. Making dumb troll threads is a flaw, and needs to be corrected. NGMI is a lifestyle choice.
>>
>>7396542
Just draw is a meme, you need to study art fundamentals like perspective to get better.
>>
I just draw and I improve. I know other anons say you have to think and plan it all out so you don't make mistakes, but my brain works better when I fail fast a bunch of times and then succeed rather than succeed very slowly with no failures
>>
>>7396813
Who told you that bull? Nearly every book on mastery says failing a lot and learning from it is the quickest way to improve.

I agree that just draw is bullshit but there’s no telling why this drawing ended up the way it did, and this is also just one drawing. Plus who knows how much they drew? I agree it isn’t amazing progress for seven years, it just seems that confronting the principle is more beneficial than the people that didn’t improve in an ideal time frame

This is the originator of the meme.
Educate yourselves, cretins.
>>
>>7396555
He seems like an hobbyist, let him be, some people draw for pleasure and that is ok just like some people mess around with a rubik cubes for fun rather going to every competition ever and making their whole lives about it
>>
>>7396542
Exactly why criticism is so important.
>>
>>7396740
15 minutes of Duolingo a day is still better than 0 minutes of Duolingo a day. The point of "just draw" is to build drawing as a habit you do every day.
>>
>>7396542
We can't really know if this is good progress or not without knowing how much he has actually drawn in those years.
>>
>>7396542
hes actually getting there!

How often did he draw? Did he try to improve?
I've """""been drawing""""" for 20 years, but I didn't take it seriously at all until the last 2.

almost as if there is middle ground between
>making 10 drawings a day for 10 years without studying and reading and looking and analysing and working on mistakes
and
>going on ic and saying "but HOW do i draw tho" for 10 years
first is still better than second though, just draw kek

I don't want to jeopardize my point by posting work that invariably will be ripped apart by anons who believe in "just draw", unless it's flawless (but then it's soulles).
I do post my work two or thrice a week here, though. While flawed, it's at least not Deviantart garbage.
>>

>just draw
I don't have the energy anymore to draw. When I was younger I happily drew for 6 hours a day. Now I get exhausted from 30 minutes of drawing and need to vegetate for 5 hours AT LEAST afterwards in order to recharge..
>>
>>7399471
Who asked?
>>
>>7399495
Me, I was worried about anon's well being and am saddened to hear hes lost his ambition
>>
>>7399471
What are you even doing here?
>>
>>7399471
But you do have the energy to blogpost. Hey, why don't you just shut the fuck up next time and keep it to yourself.
>>
>>7397739
You need to have a direction while drawing, it's not about "just doing it"
>>
>>7399894
Do you know how to wipe your ass? Can you feed yourself without airplane noises?
>>

relatable. theres something so soul crushing about adult life

You didn't have as much addictions as a child.

Drawing was fun because there wasn't really anything to do. Now you have drugs, love, social media and TV shows on demand. Your parents if they were good ones would stop you from being on your ipad all day and you would draw.
