How accurate do Italian/Spanish translations render Latin, how much meaning is lost in them? Would any of you be interested in making a series of collaborative projects aimed at replicating Lingua Latina per se Illustrata, but for other languages? We could start with one language, then see how it's received by other anons here and if everything works out we could branch out to other languages. I know there is an ongoing project for Ancient Greek and I'm following it, but it's far from being complete. They're keeping the same formula, but the book(well, their project) is obviously centred around Ancient Greece and its culture. Like, if we could make a 'Lingua X per se illustrata' for most major languages (or at least the most popular languages on /int/) it would make it so much easier for anons who are just starting out on their language-learning journey to get the grasp of the basics of their target language.
