Almost as impractical as chinese characters

those aren't hieroglyphs
that's just a cipher for the latin alphabet.

what's the practical difference between these words in usage, I'm not sure how to add them in my flash cards
I understand adentro vs dentro and afuera vs fuera in usage fairly well but not really the other ones

it will never *click*. You will slowly notice yourself understanding more sentences, being able to convey more complex ideas, maybe respond instinctively, or even have dreams in your tl. Savor each moment as you peel back the onion of your target language and realize that you will never be able to coast to fluency, or you will plateau and lose motivation.

this is probably the better answer

>download anime dubbed&translated for russian speakers for input
>FOUR different dubbings for ONE show
>some are just a dude READING the translation while the anime audio plays in the background
>the russian subtitles don't even match
What in the...? Why can't they just assemble all the people doing the dubbings and make one dubbing properly? Who would even enjoy listening to this? The only case I can imagine is there are some blind Russian-only weebs who also want to hear the original Japanese, but that can't be real right? It's not just one anime it's almost every anime. This is absurd. This is beyond my reasoning.
>>
>>201514530
I'm not sure why it's like that either. If I had to guess it would be either because it's easier and saves money or that it maybe makes it easier to avoid copyright issues.
>>
>>201514775
>>201514530
are you using studioband dubs btw? They have a few voice actors, male and female. It's the same voice over the original japanese but it's easier to follow than one guy doing all of the voices.
>>
>>201512661
aren't hieroglyphs logograms?
>>
>>201514816
>>201514775
but why don't all the hobbyists just get together and make one complete, real dub? It's as if there are a lot of voice-acting enthusiasts in Russia but they all halfassed their job. I don't understand the russian weebs.

What do Germans think about pronouncing /r/ as a trill and everywhere where it's written in German? Is it a retarded idea? I know nobody does so in modern speech but the language sounds much cooler this way.
>>
>>201515286
it costs a lot and there isn't money to be made doing it. Also a lot of older foreign media in Russia was voiced over, so there is a level of familiarity.

I watched some innerFrench videos. I can understand the gist of them with subtitles on, but it feels like cheating since I focus on the words that are similar to their English equivalents.
I doubt I can get meaningful vocab or grammar acquisition this way, so I'm going to try again after a month or so.

How the fuck do you think you can move to TC or even go on trips there?
>>
>>201520814
You are stupid. The whole point of resources like inner french and assimil is that they rely on your previous knowledge to they can simulate a quasi-authentic input that can slowly build your vocabulary. People learn faster from a text where they understand 90% than from a text where they understand 50%

Review? Opinions?
>>
>>201514530
You've downloaded a voiceover, not a dubbing. These are the default for movies in the post-Soviet world. It's actually based since you can still hear and appreciate the original acting without having to read subtitles.
The only thing that gets fully dubbed is media for children, but apparently that doesn't extend to chinese cartoons.
>>
>>201520996
Isn't this the point I'm trying to make though? If I turn subtitles on, I understand close to 50% which is enough to understand the gist of the video, but not helpful enough for learning purposes.
>>
>>201521140
None because I'm not gay enough to install shit on my phone, and will therefore not be using it. Supposedly it's really good though, and it will later add support for anki, duolingo, that kind of crap.

I used InnerFrench to work on my listening ability
I already knew most of the vocabulary but I just couldn't hear it
If you don't have anything else that you want to work with you could always just read the transcripts for vocabulary and phrases, searching up words you don't know and then repeat listening to each section
On his website he has chunks of his podcast broken up with the transcript
