I just came the closest to dying I ever have in my entire life. I was driving home after watching football with my parents going about 70MPH on the highway. I was nearly back to my apartment, and for 90% of the drive the roads were completely fine. Suddenly out of nowhere the road became slick black ice and I totally lost control of the car. There were cars all around me also fishtailing the fuck out and I still have no idea how none of us hit each other. I just kept jerking the steering wheel back and forth to keep the car going straight, but every time I turned the wheel the car would jerk the other direction. Back and forth, over and over for about 400m. By the time I finally regained control of the car I could see that the edges of the highway were lined with other cars that hadn't been so lucky, either having hit the concrete median or another car.
