If you get caught with this stuff they aren’t reading the VNs, they will just extract the images and look at them for the smallest amount of time possible for the sake of the mental health of the person giving the analysis.
People in the UK tend to have a cultural misunderstanding about anime and think the girls are younger because here they call what most countries would consider middle school high school and only wear uniforms until 16 so there’s a large chance they’ll be categorised as a much younger girl.
These cases don’t go to court, they are considered a minor crime unless you have something really concerning. I assume they aren’t really enforcing this law for the sake of it but because they think it’s a sign of having iioc (real cp). Most people accused take the caution and the images they’re caught with are never examined further. I haven’t seen any cases where someone has successfully managed to argue out of this charge.
There was a guy who got caught a few years back torrenting JK themed manga, the police told him that basically everything of that nature was illegal.
It’s unlikely you’ll be caught but this stuff isn’t legal no matter what any disclaimers say. If you’re a fan here you should be very careful.
