I lost one just clamping the silver down. Fine silver in the strip holding the ruby in place because it's a lot easier to work when there's very few angles in and there was enough metal I was reasonably sure its weakness wouldn't be a problem. The lights at the club are bright yellow so it usually takes a bit of an effort to not make it look like it's 9kt gold. Silver's about the best metal to make jewellery from, in my opinion, so I default to that.
this turned out really nice, decided to just go for sharp edges with diagonals instead of dither and it looks a lot cleaner imo.The diagonals don't moire up like the dither so it's really quick and a lot easier.Gained a lot more respect for CLAMP. I always loved them but damn, these sort of eyes are scary

Driving, writing, typing, computer and phone use, daily chores like cooking and dishes, then add drawing on top of that... Yeah, it fucks up your hands as you get older. My hands hurt every day. I'm in constant pain, I just ignore it and keep drawing anyway. If the pain becomes unbearable I take a break for a few days, wear a wrist brace and pound some CBD gummies. Drawing definitely worsens the condition but so does playing video games and driving, so I just keep drawing because I don't ever want to give it up. I think pain is just a part of life and it's not like drawing is gonna permanently maim me. A doctor would never understand the desire to create art, it's much more important than some wrist/hand pain.
