Are people who shoot traditional archery just trying to compensate for having no personality?

Call of Duty 4. Last and perhaps only entry in that series that actually took its subject matter at all seriously.

>>64703112From experience, ~90% of women in the military are a detriment worse than dead weight, and 10% are very effective hard chargers. If a woman voluntarily signs up for a difficult job and she makes it past all the selection filtering, she's going to be good to go. Any job where there is a high and gender neutral standard and the women make it will normally filter out the shitty ones. A long selection pipeline gives them opportunity to get bored/stressed and quit. Those that don't are respectable. The overwhelming majority of women slink into whatever the easiest, safest job available is and even then they have a high rate of malingering including intentionally getting pregnant to get out of danger if it looks like they might actually go anywhere near a combat zone. These women are disruptive, materially wasteful (jesus christ they waste so much water), and in combat totally unreliable. They attention whore in photos especially when put into some PR role where gucci gear is piled onto them.
Why aren't scoped handguns more popular?
>>64704485No clue anon… they’re fun as hell in my opinion.Honestly though I think they fell out of favor somewhat as steel target competitions lost ground to practical shooting comp. They’re great for accurate high power shots, but your not firing fast..Pic related is my 444 marlin lone eagle with a 2x Burris long eye relief scope on it. An xp-100 in 221 fireball has been on my “want to get” list for a while…. Seems like both those and the lone eagles lost hard to the contender/encore platform….
>>64704485The scope and handgun design are fighting against each other. Handguns as firearms on paper make zero sense, and we only use them because they're small, easy to draw and carry around. Might as well add a stock, so it's no longer a handgun. Now you have a SMG or pistol caliber carbine or something that makes sense. Now you add the scope.

for me, it's Glock 34 with an ALG 6 second mount and a kkm comp
i am a fan of various refined 19 models. i carry a 19x with RDS, the pinnacle of personal defense technology. im a sucker for the 20 too but its mostly a hiking gun. im a bit disappointed that i didn't have the chance to buy another 15 or 20 gen 5s before they stopped making them. 10k a year is hard on guns

Pistol related but last question thread died a while ago. Are all 1911 .45 barrels interchangeable with all other 1911 models? I've got a Kimber and want a threaded barrel for it and I'm wondering if I should just get a Kimber barrel for it.
>>64703861yeah im expecting something more flimsy but the only part that might even see much action is the front part and im not planning to wack the thing on tables
I got a Leupold scope (4.5-14x40) but not a good mount for it. Originally it was on a bolt gun but I want it for another gun. Is there necessarily anything wrong with the scope being flat against the top rail?
>>64704423Hypothetical for how it'd look. I'll move it back and remove the BUIS
>>64704423>>64704430actually being able to see through it could be an issue but its your gun and your face we cant tell you its too low. might work fine for you.
>>64704423What gun? You can't physically get your head low enough to do that on an AR for example, but bolt actions place the comb at such a height that it's expected to mount the scope as low as possible and have the eyebox line up with nominal physiology

>>64703483Interesting how you just completely obfuscate the rest of what they posted, you utter muppet.>The bipod on the barrel was supposedly to improve handling of a hot tube, in that you had a barrel assy that'd mostly stand by itself and expose most of it's surface to air.Shitposters like you need to die in a fire.
>>64702753I'm mates with an old M60 gunner, his attitude is it was the biggest piece of shit ever until you took fire then being able to turn most cover into concealment made it worth the suffering. That said there were better 7.62 NATO MGs.
>>64703956>maybe the barrel is thick enough to not flex muchYou can't fully prevent vibrations; you can reduce them by using a thicker barrel or by using a shorter barrel (you'll see some precision people swear by a 22" barrel rather than a 24-26" barrel), but what the precision shooters are mainly focused on isn't eliminating all the vibrations but rather making them as consistent/symmetrical as possible; if it always vibrates the exact same way, then that can be easily accounted for.

I am trying to draw a cowboy type of guy with a S&W 29 magnum pistol thing, but I dont know how experienced shooters typically hold and shoot it. Can you guys give me some references if you happened to own this gun?I know its probably a meme gun in the gun community but its so cool
Then one handed hold is pretty easy, the target grips are shaped so your thumb naturally rests when the thumb groove at the top. Shooting a Model 29 one handed isn’t actually too bad if you’re not shooting super heavy loads and especially if you have experience.
>>64702675>>64702681that's how I do it. As high on the grip as I can based upon the physical characteristics of the grip itself. IE a wooden grip like he posted your hand molds into the thumb cut dents in the grip etc. whereas a rubber pachmyer I can hold it up even higher.
