Carry a Glock 19 then, it's generally a good kind of gun to carry.
>>

Depends what your budget and experience happen to be. Is this your first firearm? If so, how much are you looking to spend? If not, how much experience do you have shooting and/or CCing?
>>
>>64704850
Gunsoomerism. There's no point in a gun that is as tall as a G19 but with a G26's barrel length. It doesn't conceal better than a G19 because grip matters 100x more than barrel in concealability, and there is no other reason to shorten the barrel other than making a more easily concealed gun. It's just another gun for those insufferable types who have a collection of 20 slightly different glocks and 20 slightly different ARs to buy.

RPG-2 strikes.

The Terrorists that the flips were fighting were only able to get/produce the old RPG-2 so the wood and cardboard armor was enough to prevent the warhead from penetrating the armor of said vehicles.

I played on max difficulty and basically never had a gun jam or break. The ones you buy are brand new and get you through missions fine unless you never swap them out. Malaria was no biggie since you had drugs. Enemies were retarded and more annoying than difficult. The random patrols didn't accomplish anything other than have some retards ram your truck for 30s of gameplay where you kill the driver and gunner.

Honestly if it had a more linear gameplay rather than being a driving simulator iflt might have been good. Also the weapon selection is so weak. No game of the era had so few to choose from even if they got lazy and just had weapon classes with variable skins it would've been better.

The entire game hinged upon open world gameplay back when it was new and novel and it doesn't really have any mechanics to take advantage of that which is why it aged so poorly imo.

Weren't most of them actually issued to Seabee bulldozer drivers, because they were having trouble with Japanese infiltrators jumping onto their dozers and stabbing them before they could grab any other kind of weapon? Instead of getting stabbed before you can unholster your .45 you can just punch-shoot the fucker in the face right away.

Ork tech just being magic is the gayest retcon.
>>
>>64706681
As long as it's nuanced, I don't mind it too much. I think the magic thought bullshit only kicks in when there's A LOT of them putting focused thought towards a common thing. One can't just tape pieces of metal together and think "It'z a gun" and then it is.
>>
>>64706681
they can't even keep their story straight: if, for example, Orks believing that the color red makes vehicles faster, why doesn't every single non-Ork red car or tank or plane or jetpack or what have you go faster in the mere presence of Orks?
>b-b-but it's not orky....
It has been implied countless times that Commisar Yarrick doesn't die because the orks believe him to be a boogeyman and it works even if he's whole sectors away.
>>
>>64706306
with shit writing no they do not. In a recent book Cawl manages to gain full control of a necrons body because for some reason he fully understands all necron tech...

>>64705546

Tau understand their tech and can do things that others cant, Such as reverse engineering Ork tech and getting functioning technology (Repulsor impact field).

forgot which book it is in but the Tau also do gene research of Orks and discover that their genes responsible for intelligence are being suppressed and that without said suppressed gens Grots would be extremely intelligent.
>>
>>64706748
Ork shit is fun in that in order to work it has to look like it works enough to convince orks that it works. For the original tabletop miniature painting game that's beautiful lore. If you don't paint your ork vehicle it's canon that it's literally no good because it doesn't look fighty enough.
>>64706786
they have enough intelligence to recognize Gork and Mork grant holy boons to them. Why would Gork and Mork enhance enemy vehicles? And yarrick is obviously recognized as part ork or honorary ork because how else could he be like that.

>morality
you don't have any morality though, you're a bot following a old mindvirus created over time by generations of people, not a person with thoughts and ideals of your own.
>>
>>64678711
That sort of shit is in the same chapter as chivalry and laws of war. They only happen when white people are fighting white people.

Niggers, browns and slopes have no concept of anything but maniacal slaughter. And yes, this includes Japan. It wasn't that long ago you could ask a Pacific theater vet and they would tell you the Japs were the first taste we got of the asian total lack of humanity in warfare.

And even whites are inhumane to other whites if the fight is over some stupid religious nonsense.

When, not if, but WHEN, white people fight again and there's no religion involved, these ideals will be re-applied.

>Throughout the war, it was always my endeavour to view my opponent without animus, and to form an opinion of him as a man on the basis of the courage he showed.
>I would always try and seek him out in combat and kill him, and I expected nothing else from him. But never did I entertain mean thoughts of him. When prisoners fell into my hands, later on, I felt responsible for their safety, and would always do everything in my power for them

>set the mouth of the pistol at the man’s temple – he was too frightened to move – while my other fist grabbed hold of his tunic, feeling medals and badges of rank. An officer; he must have held some command post in these trenches.
>With a plaintive sound, he reached into his pocket, not to pull out a weapon, but a photograph which he held up to me. I saw him on it, surrounded by numerous family, all standing on a terrace. It was a plea from another world. Later, I thought it was blind chance that I let him go and plunged onward.
>That one man of all often appeared in my dreams. I hope that meant he got to see his homeland again.

>It has always been my ideal in war to eliminate all feelings of hatred and to treat my enemy as an enemy only in battle and to honour him as a man according to his courage. It is exactly in this that I have found many kindred souls among British officers.
>>
>>64706543
Oh, and how could I forget

>Outside it lay my British soldier, little more than a boy, who had been hit in the temple. He lay there, looking quite relaxed. I forced myself to look closely at him. It wasn’t a case of ‘you or me’ any more.
>I often thought back on him; and more with the passing of the years. The state, which relieves us of our responsibility, cannot take away our remorse; and we must exercise it. Sorrow, regret, pursued me deep into my dreams.

Chile sending Marders to Ukraine, possibly Leopards.

Chile has sent an initial batch of 30 Marders to Europe as part of an extended ringtauche scheme. They will be refitted and sent to the Ukrainian frontline. Chile will recieve Skyranger equipped vehicles in return. It is likely that aging Leopard 1s in Chilean service will be sent along with more Marders.

Chile planned to refit it's Leopard 1 fleet as missile destroyers and smart mortar carriers as Chilean Leopard 2s and Marders are upgraded by FAMAE and Turkish partners to totally replace all Leopard 1 tanks and M113 remaining in service. Now it seems that the Leopard 1 and YPR76 vehicle pools may be done away with entirely at a rapid pace, sent abroad, as the Leopard 2A4CHL and Marders become the reserve units at an accelerated pace.

A staunch NATO ally, Chile has flirted with purchasing new build Leopards over the years as well as Puma and Lynx infantry fighting vehicles with German arms makers even proposing domestic production. The time for that may come soon. With the sometimes hostile neighbor Peru set to soon induct the K2 MBT and an 8x8 IFV variant of the K808 into service and rival Brazil likely to acquire the CV90MKIV and a new yet announced MBT soon, it is likely that Chile, now with a new pro-military cabinet elect will choose to acquire new build modern armor.

By 1986 Gorbachev had convinced Yugoslavia to ensure a reapproach to the rest of Eastern Block as the ship was already sinking and Tito was no longer around, both soviets and yugos needed economic support to try to delay what was already in motion, so yeah, an stretch but still a communist state more aligned with the Kremlin than NATO.

Toward is correct in American English, but I appreciate the attempted subtle dig.

Anyway, if we are talking about straw men, you're the one who implied that ones hierarchy is focused solely on maximum fun with no other purpose, even though a suppressor that isn't maximally valuable for your idea of combat use fits within a separate priority of the hierarchy, by your own logic. So your original statement is meaningless since it's really only meant to be provocative and performative.

This is a plus point in my book, the biggest plus point in fact.
Fuck "IRL plane autist".
They would complain about any fucking inconsistency or about their waifu-plane not being equal to whatever they consider their opponents.

Why the fuck would I pretend to fly an exact copypaste of F22 or J-20 in a setting that cannot use our IRL politic and couldn't be balanced with IRL weapons anyway?
You would need fictional aircraft anyway for all the niche we don't have IRL plane for, the Tarantula is far more interesting than playing a C-130, the Medusa is more fun to play than just flying a harmless radar aircraft, as IRL goes we won't even get a new light attack helicopter.

>That said the Cricket is so awfully powercrept it's not even fun.
I won't disagree it's quite efficient but it is fragile as fuck and also so fucking slow you wouldn't use more after that (the new helicopter is even more useful).
It's because it is the starting aircraft, you need newcomer to matter in the battle despite the slow speed.

Modern air-defense would obviously be too much to handle but nowadays we really need cheap aircraft capable of fucking up cheap & slow missiles/drones.

The cricket is extremely useful in some niche roles, especially after the last update. It has the longest spotting range other than the darkreach (for some reason) with optical sensors. This makes it ideal for locating ground targets. The last update added SRBM TELs that activate once the strategic nuclear threshold has been crossed and there are more than enough on heartland escalation to overwhelm the R9s and fleets.
The cricket is effectively free and the best at spotting so it's the natural choice to locate and possibly disable these sites. It's also useful in locating SHORAD for others to target.
