The three bass pros I went in north Texas this Saturday all had at least 5 Beretta 1301 tactical gen 2 for $1299. They said Beretta had a glut of 1301 and sold them to Bass pro for a good price.

There is nothing mechanically wrong with this grip.

>one hand is going to take the recoil
>recoil force is transmitted along the other hand as well

This is useful especially for larger calibers or smaller shooters.
With the stupid grip which is considered "right", the other hand simply doing nothing other than pushing the firing hand sideways.

sorry to hear about your anisomelia, OP.

Perhaps if you are using your other hand to protect your firing hand's wrist, you should move to a lower caliber or pick up heavy objects more frequently. Another good alternative would be to place the supporting hand in front of the firing hand like a normal person.

No, they got 1/10th of that, 25 guns in total. If the nationwide buy back has a similar turn out, they'll snag like 9000 guns total when estimates say the total number of banned guns out there is close to a million. It's hilariously retarded.

>>
>>64768091
Right, this is the core question. I have nothing inherent against buying cheaper clones (or even improvements) if they perform, and it's plenty of foreign players produce extremely high quality stuff but without the US MIC bullshit markup. But implementation details matter a lot for a holo sight and I wouldn't get something crap JUST to save money because they're still more expensive then a basic red dot, so if I purely wanted something budget I wouldn't go with one in the first place.

lmfao I remember when people were arguing for carrying around CQB uppers, like you'd be lugging around half of a rifle and be changing it in and out in the field. fucking fantasy bullshit that only a desk jockey would conjure up.
>>
>>64768745
Looking at a lot of the ideas behind the SCAR program or the marketing of the ACR, the notion that SF teams can configure their rifles to use the same AK mags as partner forces or that you could change your assault rifle to shoot 7.62 and use it as a DMR; it all sounds good on paper but the reality is that locally-sourced ammo cant be trusted and your want fundamentally different things from a carbine and a DMR. Certainly it can all be done and was, but you change so many things in the conversion that just carrying around complete ready to use guns becomes much more practical than lugging the conversion kits.
>>
>>64768745
I wouldn't say modularity is completely a meme, because I can just go and pick whatever stock and grip I want to perfect my ergos, and that's good. There's probably WAY more emphasis put onto it than actually makes any real sense, however.

Swapping uppers? I could see a hypothetical appeal in that if you own a transferable/sample lower, but otherwise it's not that much extra cost to just put together that extra lower for a complete second gun.
Ironically, then, swapping uppers is basically the best alternative to being able to just quickly swapping barrels for calibers, because if you've probably got differently zeroed sights and stuff for if you wanna go from .223 to .458 or whatever, maybe a different gas block and all...
But why not just spend that little bit more money to give that upper its own lower anyway?

It makes me think of the Stoner 63, how it could be assembled into all these different configurations, but what people using them really wanted the very most was the belt-fed LMG one (because they already had all the other stuff), so the Stoner 63 would have probably done WAY better if it had been designed around that single config and thrown that modularity gimmick to the win.
Similar for H&K trying to mirror that a bit with the XM8, or the MagPul ACR having that quick caliber change setup (which Remington eventually dropped the ball on, lol).
>>
>>64768756
Bruh it lasted like all of a year in the civilian scene too, people would have their mk18 or DMR uppers that they insisted would just be casually swapped onto the actual lower they have but then they all realized that you could just buy a complete lower assembly for like $90 so....why not just skip the bullshit?

OH RIGHT! I remember the fucking thing about sourcing goddamn 7.62x39mm in the field, BRO, OUR OPERATORS WILL BE ABLE TO USE CAPTURED AMMO! T-A-C-T-I-C-A-L!
THEY'LL RESUPPLY THEMSELVES AS THEY FIGHT, JUST LIKE IN A VIDEOGAME!

Testing random captured ammo from Derka-Derkas then shows that it's very often extremely sketchy indeed, and at no point did anyone stop to ask why the military with the strongest chain of logistics in history would ever need to desperately scrounge for garbage ammo from insurgents.
I half suspect that this was an attempted backdoor by idiots who simply thought 7.62x39mm was a better cartridge and were hoping this could lead to further adoption.

which weapons would a modern day vampire hunter use? no wooden stakes, no crossbows, silver blades, no holy water flasks or garlic necklaces allowed, just modern cutting edge tech.

... i just like digiflora...

also the correct answer is that the energy of their militaries is that of perpetual loss and Pyrrhism. Afghanistan, Chechnya, even Ukraine. it always looks like they're losing even if they're not (not a statement on the current war but idgaf this thread sucks already). the bleakness of it all coupled with the humanity of those in the meat grinder, there's something terribly attractive to it. it's not just about the country fighting, it's about the individual men fighting for their own survival in a system that treats them as expendable.
it's definitely a feeling you also get in stuff like Stalker. you just don't get that vibe with western militaries.

11.5 Dot + Mag with a can. Most gun fights you would ever be in would likely be with 50 yards making 1x ability the most important. Since your ops will look very similar to friendlies a magnifier will allow you to better identify friend from foe and allow you to scan further away while taking the rare shots out to distance as needed. A suppressor is needed to help occlude your shooting position. Return fire is a bad time. For a magnifier a 5x or 6x is going to be ideal since you can gather more visual information compared to the naked eye or with a lower powered mag. A 3x will allow you to focus on taking further shots better but does not really give you more visual information. I would still recommend a 10x bino for proper scanning but being able to scan with the gun ready to rock is important as well imo.

Also the m2 is dog shit. The US just made a bizarre number of them so they became widespread gpmg.
The m2 was never good in a gpmg role either, it's just that the US looked good for having so many mgs, fighting peasant forces who couldn't even field SAW.

50. Bmg is not a good cartridge, it's not a good AM cartridge, not a good HMG cartridge. 7.62x39 is far better in all respects, and the M240B was far better then the m2.

So the m2 was outclassed so badly that they all became gpmg, the role where their performance matters the least.
