OP literally cannot conceive of /k/ommandos being happy to be well rounded marksmen able to pick up any major weapon system type in any major action, cycle it, feed it, and shoot it effectively out to its effective range, with open sights, peep sights, red dots, holos, prisms or scopes, and to enjoy the relative differences between them because at the end of the fucking day, guns are cool and fun and that's why we own them.

>PSA shit
Why shit? I was thinking of swapping my Saiga for a PSA 103 and pocketing few hundred bucks. I almost never shoot the Saiga anymore so it just sits there looking sexy.

Were they still having that issue with excessive BCG mushrooming and rail wear? Did the Toolcraft BCGs solve anything? Seems like they're making them out of too soft a metal. I'd hate to trade something I know will live forever for something that won't.

I don't use it that much, I don't see the point since it's not my main rifle. Then again I'd be trading a high quality $300 gun for a questionable quality $1,200 gun.

There was the bongolian dept of defense saying that over 425k ziggers died just in 2025 alone- now the metric about 100 dead ziggers per sq km makes a bit more sense
Damn
That's about 100 ziggers in a 1/4 acre I think?
>>
>>64761416
A square km is much bigger
m^2 = square of 1m by 1m
are = square of 10m by 10m = 100 m^2
hectare = square of 100m by 100m = 10000 m^2
km^2 = square of 1000m by 1000m = 1 million m^2
acre = 66ft by 660ft, which comes out to 4047 m^2
>>
>>64761426

If it seats it yeets. I know the mount is "backwards", but it doesn't have an MOA cant and it's not like the structural integrity of the mount or the scope are going to be affected. I have zero doubt it's going to hold zero just as well as a set of straight rings.

The eye relief is perfect where it is, I don't need to crane my head up the stock to get a clear view at any magnification. Like I said in another post, the only straight rings I could find locally would force me to mount the scope even higher than it is, and even if I were to put the rear ring as far back on the rail as possible the eyepiece would be at least half an inch forward from where it is now.

>>64761261
Not sure what rifle that is, but it appears to have a much shorter receiver than the T3X. I would need to have the scope mounted way too far forward for the objective bell to clear the front of the rail like that.

Unironically yes if it can handle +p.
If you had to use it in self defense and actually shut your adversary's power switch off, you'd have way less judgement. The jury wouldnt be able to tell if youre gay or just owning a pink firearm out of desperation.

I think that was part of it but I feel like there are compounding problems.
>Hiroshimoot is an absentee admin who spends his time shitposting on twitter than actually managing the website.
>Mods spend more time on Discord than actually on the site. Mods hardly interact with the boards they manage aside from making stickies or adding audio to threads.
>4chan's backend code is horrifically out of date and needs to be ripped out and replaced at this point. Alt-chans and other projects have continued to innovate on the imageboard style of forum while 4chan has remained stagnant. The dev team need to just bite the bullet and update the site with a modified version of one of these projects.
And that's just the site itself. There are problems on the userside as well.
> the 2016 and 2020 elections plus The Ukraine War really changed the culture of the site. Many oldfags that I've spoken too have grown disgruntled and voice displeasure on how much the culture has changed, in their opinion, for the worse.
>/pol/ became the default ante-chamber for the website. Hardly anyone else discovers 4chan via the existence of the other boards. /vt/ has an opportunity to usurp that position but the continuation of the culture wars will ensure that never happens.
>Various boards have been choked to death by generals. This is despite those boards having dedicated wiki's where users could go and store all the information contained in those generals. /tg/ is a prime example of this.
>/k/ meetup culture is pretty much dead after nugget fest crashed and burned. The old guard who still go to meets no longer do so in regards to /k/.
A quick side note: I once showed an anon on /sci/ in their spaceflight thread how big /k/ meets used to be and he was utterly shocked at how large the meets used to get.

There's probably more issues we could go into but it's getting late and I have work in the morning.
Have an old Willis McKillis art piece for old times sake.
>>
One thing that puzzles me, thinking back on it.
We never saw nor heard of mods contacting the anons running the patch, sticker, or 4chan adjacent storefronts and asked them to advertise on the site. You know, True Roman Bread for True Romans. I can understand why some would probably say no but advertising products made by anons for anons seems like a smart move. Even now you'll occasionally see /agdg/ games in the ad spaces.
>>
>>64761318
>Various boards have been choked to death by generals
IMO depends on the general. If the entire catalog is generals, yeah, the board's cooked. I think /k/ has a fine mix, but I'm biased because I like the respective scenes each general has. Subcultures prevent a shitty monoculture.

Well it's a bit like the old Soviet-era joke.
The dad worm and the son worm walk together:
"Dad" says the son worm "Living in an apple, it is great, right?"
"Yes, my son, living in an apple is great."
"Dad, living in a plum, it is incredible, right?"
"Yes, son. Living in a plum is incredible."
"Dad? Living in a peach is marvelous, right?"
"Yes, indeed. Living in a peach is truly marvelous."

"So dad... why do we live in a dog shit?"
"Because, son.... it is the fatherland."

It's a shitty just-good-enough-for-Bundeswehr-contract *rifle* design, not one of HK's finer moments. Polymer receiver of theirs worked relatively better for shorter-OAL dimension guns like its MP7 (best) and UMP cousins, and the short-barrel G36 'carbine' variants are passable for under-100 meter CQB submachine gun missions. It is a light weight, cheap to manufacture (Bundeswehr contract, again) and mechanical-function-cycle durable design. The LMG derivative of G36 wasn't suitable for sustained fire due to trunnion melt and thus dropped from further engineering development

So a bullet is like a wireless penis, therefore the enemy will get erect when fired upon, right? Thus the true purpose of suppressive fire is to deny the sexuality of your enemy by forcibly supplanting your own. To test this I suggest we must start a war, have verified straight men get fucked in the ass on both sides while near machine guns suppressing the enemy, and if any man getting fucked cums that means a.) they’re not gay and b.) what I said above was indeed correct.

Okay now this is epic.

Lyman is introducing a line of extreme value silencers, including .22 and 9mm. Prices are said to be "between $199 and $299" across the board, so street price should be rather lower.

I'd love to see more Finland type shit now the tax stamp isn't a consideration, it makes cheap and simple silencers a reasonable compromise
