it goes through it without doing much damage. why do you ask?
>>
>>64760736
no, it destroys the material around the area of the impact
the material deforms faster than energy can be transferred to the rest of the object, and breaks off
the projectile thus carries on its way through the target, without transferring all its energy to the target

hence in >>64760092 this example, it is possible that a small number of particles will achieve fusion, producing a relatively large explosion, but most of the projectile's mass is likely to pass through the target

The fans ruined her, really. The romance was only there because of how vocally people wanted it.
Oddly I think the same is true of Garrus's romance option but that actually works decently. I appreciate how it's framed as Shep initiating it too, they didn't want you feeling like you were turning him down if you were a femshep and just wanted to keep the bromance going.

There's no real need to rehash why mechs don't work but what is the ideal jungle support vehicle then?

Yes they do

what about that truck with the huge saw blades on it from that one indiana jones movie
>>
Ground vehicles are losing relevance and are going to keep losing relevance as time goes on and drones become ever more advanced. See >>64755286 - if you come across something in the jungle that infantry can't handle by themselves, then drone swarms or aerial vehicles (themselves also drones) will take over.
>>
>>64754746
literally just this >>64755310
remove the jungle = remove the problem
jungles are dogshit to traverse even for infantry, let alone anything weighing over a ton that can't (relatively) easily snake between trees
same reason you don't bring land vehicles to mountains that don't have very sturdy and clear paths going through them
if you intend on crossing the jungle by land you gotta remove the jungle (or stop being retarded and go over it)
>>64760694
here we go again
>>64760755
until infantry itself becomes obsolete it's going to need ground support no matter how vulnerable
>something something flag planted something something not your territory

>>64760277
yeah it's a huge lazy downgrade aesthetically, you could tell me right was from ghost recon or the division or whatever near-future game you want and aside from the patches it would 100% look it. it's bad even if you're not comparing it to beck's work

I personally wouldn't modern ammo in the older M27 and M28 rifles without checking the diameter of the barrel but M39's will be completely fine with or without the D barrel
>>
>>64760734
is this why m39s are so expensive? Using cheap russian ammo or new stuff from PPU without messing up the barrel seems like a pretty big advantage.
>>
>>64760761
Nah its just that Finnish M39's are genuinely the best version of the Mosin rifle. Everything about them is better
Once you've experienced both of them you'll see how much better the M39 is
>>
>>64760777
yeah I heard they are amazing. I just wouldn't want to buy one and then find out all of my nugget food is accidentally destroying the gun
>>
>>64760796
Just make sure you clean if its corrosive and dont shoot steel targets if its not 70's yugo unless you want to fuck up your target and you'll be plenty fine

Well let's not forget how they also liberated Taiwan from stupefying Confucian ways, and started them on the road to becoming a land of industry and rational inquiry. It was an awesome burden the Japanese bore, but they took it on gladly.

To this day, the places that Japan wisely led are far more developed than their neighbors. How about that?

im pretty sure ive seen more than one report from ukrainan front line soldiers that some kind of full-face protection is absolutely necessary and vital piece of kit now, and its one of the main "take-aways" as far as infantry/frontline kit goes. i wish i knew where I saw it, but it was something to the effect that full face/head protection is something people think is for-real actually needed

People really don't seem to understand that drones are a result of what's available, not what's ideal. I do not for a second believe that anyone in Ukraine would really rather use 40 drones to try and mission kill a T-72 instead of a single ATGM, JDAM giving it a sunroof, artillery fire, anything. But it's what they have and what they can get in quantity so it's what they fight with, and they make it work. Likewise for Russia, the absolute best they can do for support most of the time is lobbing a glide bomb from a timezone away, so they make do.
The ideal weapons and force compositions to make drones less viable aren't available to either side. Ideally you'd be using ELINT to discover operator positions, then level the entire block with air support and/or artillery. They're trying, but they only have so many of the bits and pieces involved. Drones can only work as they do right now because both sides lack the ability to reliably punish those vulnerable operator assets so close behind the front.
Something is seriously fucking wrong if the US Army is ever deploying tanks without the ability to kindly request that the USAF level a building on their behalf.

The whole point of being stealthy is to be able to get closer to the enemy without detection, and if you're closer you might as well just stick rockets to the bombs the aircraft would be carrying and cut out the middle man.

That's like almost year old news. Should have been AW149, but it's not like AW149 cannot be acquired later, and should buy military things from the US too.
>Attack helos should have been AH-1Z Viper or Z-10ME in the heavy category, instead went for this medium light T129.
>Even getting the original Italian A129 would have been better because of the upcoming AW249.
>The best will be the AH-1Z Viper for the bell helos existing maintenance and user experience inside the country. Army could get it.
