It turned out better than I hoped, I think it's brighter than tritium though obviously the glow doesn't last as long. I think as your eyes adjust to the dark they'll still be visible for the entire night. I used Europium glow powder from united nuclear, mixed with clear nail polish with a backing of white model paint. The pics are shit because the only lighting was my tv, I can't be bothered to get better pics. The powder was cheap and I have enough left over to do dozens of sights, I see no reason not to do it if you want to run a set of those night sights. I'm going to try it with one of my Yugos but the pockets aren't very deep so I doubt it'll glow half as intensely as picrel.

On Russian rifles they are phosphates and are grayer in color. I was able to source original Russian sight leaf’s and axis FCG pins and install them.-the bolt carrier’s finish is noticeably lighter than the finish on the receiver, barrel. Looks almost grayish in sunlight like it’s parkerized. Not a big deal, minor detail. -the edge of the stock closest to the receiver appears to have some heat damage from when they torch cut the receiver. But it is what it is with these ATF import laws.-the price. Fuckin 2 grand for a basic bare bones AKM. If there wasn’t an import ban I think they’d be half the price. But this is as close as you can get to an original Russian AKM in the states.-the US slant comp that comes with it is longer than a standard one, too weird looking for me. Cut tang, install new rear 'trunnion' thing from CSS to provide an ACE mounting plate, then install ACE compatible folding hinge and whatever stock you want that fits the two hole pattern. This is a DPH arms aluminum stock, but there are plenty of alternatives and AR buffer tube attachments. It's a pretty versatile setup.
