Many years ago I put together a carbine with a 16" heavy profile barrel and a 15" free float rail. I regret this every time I raise the thing or walk around with it. I think I'd have been better served with a govt profile barrel with a front sight gas block, and a shorter free float rail.

The PLxC is my favorite scope of all time.I have 2 of them on my SBRs the M8 Yard & M8 Meters.The size,weight,and overall presentation are just perfection.The M8 Yard sucks because,it doesn't really match anything ballistics wise,but it also owns bc the circle is smaller then the meters edition & is better for CQB,and Im rarely if ever shooting them passed 300 yards anyway( for precision work I use a proper MPVO with German Glass) But it doesent really matter because u can still dial them in .1 mils for longer shots,and have the superior Chevron for an infinitely precise aiming point.the M8 Meter is good because w/ a 50 yd zero using 75/77gr,your pretty much on the money out to 750 yd even with a SBR as long as your doing 2500 fps.The M8 Meter is much cleaner as well,basically even if you have a BDC reticle,you can still be effective with it if you know your data,because your using it the same way as a MIL tree,and even if you have a mil tree your holds won't be perfect,usually it's 1.3MIL, or 5.77 MIL etc,so your probably going to be dialing anyway.I hope to use the PLXc in real life combat some day,which is what it was made for.
