I probably should. I even have a spare stripped upper. But I want an FSB and don't want to deal with taper pins building it myself

Maybe PSA will do another sale. Or I'll grow a pair and get a real MK18 upper from TNTE
>>
>>62782829

Just buy a good barrel and have someone equipped to install the FSB properly do it then. There's probably someone within am hour of you, or any number of shops you could ship it to.

Wants a good MLOK mount for Scout bodies? I need to get a light mounted on the LMT upper in the forwardmost 9/3oclock mlok slot so the light over hangs the HG some and it as tightly tucked in as possible.

Scout bodies have an inherently shit mounting design. No matter how much loctite that shit will eventually come loose. This applies to other bodies using the same mounts like the rein. Get a Magpul MBUS Pro rear iron sight, then save up for a decent red dot in the future imo.

>because its honestly really annoying to aim with a piggybacked' rmr
In general or under NVGs specifically? I have an RMR on my TA31 and I love using it without nods, it's just too close to my face to work with NVGs. Even if I pull my stock out so my tubes clear it and I can technically look through it, idk it's too close or something for the dot to be in focus. I just get a useless blown out blur instead of the clear sight picture I get with my CompM5. Looking at the TA02, it looks like the position of the dot is really not that much father back then where my Aimpoint is mounted so it seems like it would work. I don't even want to change my optic setup desu but now that I have NVGs I feel a compulsion to make it work.

>>62783328
I don't want to stack my T2 on it if I can use an RCR and get similar results for less bulk. My T2 is already being used elsewhere.

Anyone using a stacked T2 with nods and can say it's g2g? If that works fine, I imagine the RCR works just as well.

(samefag)
Yeah. I use a stacked T2 on my elcan and it's fine for passive aiming in fact I prefer it to my eotech for the ease of use and the small size of the dot as opposed to a 68 MOA circle that you get with the eotech.
The other thing I really like about the T2 for passive aiming is how easy it is to adjust the brightness with gloves on.
I don't know about you but where I live it gets pretty cold at night this time of year so having something that's easy to operate with gloves on is important for me.
>>
>>62783339
So that you don't have to caliper every single fucking part to make sure your rifle isn't a piece of shit.

If you already have all the tools to build a full parts build AR, and do all the QC yourself, then do so and stop whining faggot. You buy a KAC because you're an approval seeking homosexual that wants round bolt lugs. You buy an LMT because your want a monolithic upper. You buy DD/Guyslee/BCM because you want a rifle that works without doing all assembly and QC yourself and a company to hold accountable if you get a lemon.

It's that simple midwit. Some people value their time more than their money. You can build a Nighthawk quality 1911 for a fraction of the $ cost as well if you have all the tools, time, skill, and patience to pull it off.

Yeah but it never happens, it's a meme just like how poorfags who buy 350 palmetto shitrods claimed they saved all their kac or dd money and totally use it for ammo and training. You'll get it with time and experience, having a factory gun is nicer, having two is nicer, having the backing of a company that will warranty your shit if you get a kb or something is nice. Nobody will ever be impressed by your mixmaster.

I live in the desert so I'm not too worried. I like the RMR because it has auto-on, and once you adjust it, it holds relative brightness depending on the light level of where you're pointing it. Probably a downside for some people, but I like it. The T2 is great for sure though, I just think it's a bit chunky as a stacker and I'm autistic about these things.
>>
>>62783348
>Did you mean hypebeast AR's are retarded?

Ab-fucking-solutely. I'm coming from AK gunsmithing background (ex balkan guy, now i live in a somewhat gun friendly EU country) and with AKs it makes sense to go for reputable brands for the simple reason that you don't want to lose your fingers and / or face. Not only that, but "rebuilding" them or "building" them in the first place is an involved process.

ARs ? Piss fucking babby retard Lego easy. Not only that but EVERYTHING is documented and somewhat standardized. Why the fuck would i got for a "big name" and spend whatever jew amount they ask for it when i can build a better AR (with parts checked and gauged for their efficiency and probably put together) for a fraction of the cost ?

I just don't get it.

So do it and stop bitching. Not sure who you're trying to impress with your dunning kruger rant. Literally nobody is saying you can't assemble a great AR. If you're actually buying high quality individual parts, you won't save as much as you think, but that doesn't mean you won't save money. Go for it. Show us what you put together. Meanwhile I don't want to have to inspect every single fucking thing because I work a full time job and have the money to pay someone else to do the QC and assembly.

Nigger and goy mentality. Nigger because weapons aren't "tools", their goal is to potentially save your life or end another one, and therefore you SHOULD known every single detail to the finest pubic hair in the barrel thanks to the borescope that you probably don't even own you gorilla monkey and goy because you still think high quality = expensive while it was proved time and time again that a cheap ass PSA bolt can prove itself more efficient gas wise thanks to it's adequate dimensions than a far more expensive one with retarded shit like egged cam pin hole brand new out of the box.

Not only that but "pay someone else to do the QC and assembly" is a poor man mentality. I don't trust a nigger for shit, people that really know the AR-15 aren't as legion as you might think and i don't want them to "assemble or QC" my shit. Schmeisser dumps shitloads of "just as good" ARs on eurotards like you. The average eurotard gunowner shoots 50 rounds and declares it "good to go" anyone who actually uses them starts to very quickly see the value in a premium AR15 offering in yurope (mr223, DD, some hanel even, etc).
Its no different in the USA, except instead of schmeisser you have PSA and the lot producing trash.

>Actually good barrel $250-300
>Upper receiver $80-100
>Good rail $150-300
>Decent BCG $150-200
OK so you're at a minimum of just over $600 at best. I left out muzzle device because birdcages are dirt cheap, but really you're gonna want a $100+ suppressor mount. I even left out gas block and gas tube just to help you out. Congrats you saved a few hundred bucks over a comparable upper IF you already had all the tools. Maybe you get away with a bit less if you coupon clip and wait for sales. Realistically, you probably spent more like $750-800 and maybe more after tax and shipping. So, this REALLY only makes sense if you have the tools or plan on building several rifles which... Why?

Complete lowers tend to be more overpriced and don't need as many tools, so yeah buy a stripped lower but all the decent ambi ones are $200-350.

Because they're retarded, just like they're retarded in the US. Different demographics, different culture, different regulations, same retards.

The goal of "building" (hate that word, you aren't building shit you're assembling, at a low level at that) is not fundamentaly to save money (it could be a end goal but that's not mine) but it's to understand, at a deeper level than just consuming Youtube videos and calling yourself an expert, the weapon and it's various interactions.

I'm a firm partisan in "building" instead of purchasing for that reason. The other reason being chosing parts that make sense for what you're going for etc etc etc. Really, you could easily make a paralel with computers with the prebuild vs built shit.

Besides if you own a weapon and are unnable to diagnose and troubleshoot issues yourself (ex : you buy a hypebeast rifle while not understanding how direct impingement works and for some reason your gas key screws are undertorqued + staking was made with a toothbrush and you end up with leakages, many such cases) you should better sell that shit and find another hobby.

In 95 % of cases they fucking are. Don't be dishonest and lie to try to disprove my point as you know damn well i'm right. If they were understanding their rifle they would know they would lose in all regards in purchasing AN ENTIRE RIFLE of an hypebeast brand instead of specific parts. Most of the golems going for expensive ass rifles know jack shit about it, and since they KNOW THAT THEY DON'T KNOW they find reassurance in purchasing a big brand hypebeast rifle thinking it will minimize the chances of something fucking up (which is true to SOME EXTENT but deep down it's still the expression of lack of knowledge). If you are issued said weapon for a duty of for war it's another context entirely. But in the case of purchasing it as a hobbyiest / citizen / larper or whatever ? Pathetic.

What you really meant was grown up kids. Real adults spent that 500 to 1K on various gauges, tools, permatex, borescopes, chemicals to do whatever they want however they want. Ain't nothing better to *know* you can do what you want and more importantly why you're doing it. We could argue if we were talking about a rifle not as modular and easy to work with but here ? 640df. both are good really, both made in USA. Surefire has been used by military for years Modlite is newer but fine

I ordered a super duty lower for my urgi upper, my ffl sent me pics of nics and weird spots in anodizing. He said its more noticeable in person. Should I send it back or just shoot it?

Bendy Bill strikes again. It won't effect how the gun shoots so that's really up to you. Personally, I'd send it back and buy from a company who isn't ran by a bunch of fags, but that's more on principle than an issue with the lower itself.
>>
>>62784790
>>62784796
Guyslee deserves to be punished for their laziness, but it's also not a problem if you're planning to actually use the rifle so it depends on how much you care they did you dirty.

I'd say send it back as blemished and buy an actual blem.
>>
>>62784758
DF is too weak to blind crackheads
>>
>>62784814
muzzle flash works just fine
>>
>>62784803
>>62784808
Its just cosmetic so I'm not overly concerned. As long as its in spec I kinda don't care. I usually avoid buying blem because I don't want to chance buying of spec shit.
I pretty much bought it for the rollmark for a full Geissele build I'm doing, but I have a Centurion lower I could also use. My FFL seems more upset about it than I am lol
>>
>>62784814
Dog it's a gun just shoot them.
>>
>>62784814
Turbo will blind the shit out of you. Look at weapon lights as a nonlethal option, its a last chance attitude adjustment tool.
>>
>>62784845
Df is not turbo
>>
>>62785023
640DFT is, retard. Get that one instead of the DF.

>>
>>62785132
Idk how to help you then anon
>>
>>62784826
Well you got a blemmed item for non blemmed prices.
I’d just send it back.
If you’re going to use a blem G$ at least buy one labeled and priced as such
>>
>>62784741
>best surefire
M640 DF non turbo
>better than modlite
Depends what you want.
Turbo lights are dumb so let’s exclude them.
Scout non turbo gives you a lot of flood and almost no throw.
This is good for indoor use.
Modlite has some options that are more of a blend of throw and flood so they’re useable indoors but can also be used to power through competing white light, see into cars, or put a lot of light on a specific target.
Get a light that works for you, your use case, and area.
I like having a light that can do both so giving up some flood for some extra throw is worth it to me

I'm still a long way from shooting out my barrel, but would it be worth it to swap from a BCM ELW to a DD S2W?

European looking for xir first AR. 12-14.5inch barrel and decent quality.
I was thinking either DD or BCM. We also have Sig Sauer's, but only 16inch and up. What about Aero Precision? Any good. Are the Sigs good either? Anything cheaper than DD or BCM?
Would rather go with an American brand because our own manufacturers have no idea wtf they're doing when it comes to ARs IMO.
>>
>>62785320
also what about Stag Arms?
>>
>>62785320
aero is only good for lowers.
your best bet is to get an aero lower (assuming you can live without ambi) and then just slap a complete DD or BCM barrel on top.
BCM is unironically all you really need. DD is arguably a bit better.
I don't know if brownells will ship to your country but I really like the RIS 2 stripped upper they offer.
It won't have any issues running the balkanshit ammo you inevitably put through it.
You will just need to get a muzzle device, CH, and a BCG, none of which are terribly expensive unless you want them to be.
>>
>>62785418
buying separate uppers and lowers unfortunately is more expensive here than just getting a completely built gun from one manufacturer. I'll just go with BCM or DD in that case I suppose
>>
>>62785441
Yeah I know what you mean. It's the same here and now it's even worse after new legislation.
Either of those two options will be fine.
With the DD you're going to change out the stock and the grip.
https://danieldefense.com/m4a1.html
This would be cool if you could get it.
You'll pay a premium over the BCM so really depends how much that's worth it to you but either one will be fine.
DD really marks their stuff up.
>>
>>62785278
What's wrong with turbos? I heard they can blind crackheads. Which Modlite would you recommend?
>>
>>62783479
Same. They have been sitting on my transfer for 2 weeks. This is actually the second time I’ve had issues with them too. Not using them again
>>
>>62785606
It's a throw vs spill debate. /arg/ recommends non turbo because you the beam pattern is more usable at realistic distances. Throw is a gunsoomer meme.
>>
I'm sure this is totally legit

>>
>>62784826
That's not how blems work dawg. The blems are 100% cosmetic. That's why the counts blems are shilled so hard, you get a perfectly good part that has a patch of anodizing that's slightly off

Anons be advised the gun market is overflowing with scams and entire scam websites. Always double check the url and always use one time credit card numbers.

nta but that's a discontinued lower his only option is second hand
>>
>>62785811
Oh i get that, sometimes you'll get lucky though. My LGS has a vault they keep NOS parts in that will occasionally trickle onto the sales floor if asked about them. I figured it would be worth a shot at least
>>
>>62785827
Noveske makes like 5 guns a year. Even when they were in regular production they were tough to find. idk why he can't just get a different lower at this point especially since it's just a basic one.

I just want one, no real reason why.
>>
>>62785835
I found your post on instagram. ngl those jeets put more effort into this one than the scams I usually see. I think this just might be one of those real gun shops that didn't have an instagram page so the jeet just made one for that business to use for scamming.

nta but if you want a modlite the PLHV2 is their balanced offering. You can see it comapred to an M600 here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJD44ZOKyLM
You can also get a PLHV2 head with an arisaka 600 body which is slim and whatever tailcap + pressure pad you want (if you even want one) from the arisaka website's light builder section.
https://arisakadefense.com/18650-series-lightkit/
The Rein 2.0 also has pretty similar performance to the PLHV2 but it's a warmer color tone.
You also get an all in one package.
The only caveat is you are stuck with using Rein's ecosystem which is pretty bare.
The Rein's use a surefire mounting footprint though so you can use whatever mount you want. as long as it's a surefire footprint which is pretty much industry standard anyway.
>>
>>62785732
Its not that black and white. Throw is a byproduct of the lights ability to defeat photonic barriers. You will say this is a meme until your light becomes useless and gets washed out by other lights like a homes motion sensor security lights car headlights etc
>>
>>62784826
You don't know that the industry standard definition of the word blem is.
